My first botany shift I grew too much weed that when I looked at our harvest, I panicked and said over the comms: "MOTHER OF GOD, WE HAVE WAY TOO MUCH WEED" and the captain said we needed to start growing something edible or else our asses are gonna get thrown in perma. However, all the weed had high stats, and I couldn't get rid of them. I was put in perma, but as I was a skrell on paradise station, I had some weed seeds in my headpocket. Nobody checks on perma. I died via brain damage from eating the weed.
Nah, should of made a backup plant pod copy of yourself, or leave instructions for another to do so then offed yourself with weed and find another persons id, a mask and a voice changer and escape. The ultimate get rekt to security, they wouldnt even know your still alive. Basically death note style but with backup bodies
I remember as botany I gave a cook a synthetic butt to cook and than I gave another cook some honey that made you trip balls. And than near the end of the round some dude was growing rainbow tobacco and everything exploded.

Tg wiki classify botanist as "medium difficulty". Yet wiki page about botany is at least 20 or even 30 pages. And video about botany is almost one hour. I dread to imagine how it will be learning to play engineer or medical worker, actually vital jobs to the station survival.
You probably know by now but i guess future reference for somebody reading the comments. You mutate the Ambriosa Vulgaris. first it must mutate into Ambriosa Deus (Plant will have a dark blue color) and then mutate more into Gaia (Plant will look golden.) To give each trail the golden/self sufficient effect you grab the harvested branches, put them on your hand and use them as compost, do it untill the trail changes to golden. You can remove the Earthsblood effect (The chemical that makes the effect) and add it into a more rapid harvest/ bigger yield plant like wheat. Gaia is extremly fragile and generally needs constant babysitting, if you leave for a second to get something it might fucking die. So if you're the only botanists you should probably focus on it to get it rolling, the chef can make do with whatever he has around in the meantime. keep in mind that unlike Vulgaris and Deus, Gaia lacks Perennial Growth, so you might wanna add it.
Actually, I believe that if you dump some unstable mutagen into a empty tray with a high level of weeds, you get a chance to spawn some KUDZU in a tray that give you pods that you can turn into seeds, which you can then use to become a monster.

Botanist can take blood and inject it into seed. Then all he needs is to wait when pod grows. Harvest will result a pod people which are pretty chill.
get the pod peole seed,take a sample of blood from the dead person,inject the blood on the seeds and then plant the seeds,when you harvest the pod people the dead player will control it.

Starting out in space station, there is barely any easily accessible content like this, but its a blessing that i can at least be a botanist now
For me easiest starter job is Cargo Technician or Cook.
But cook is more dangerous. If youre not carefull enough you will end up in your own gibber

If you want to be the engineer but not vital you can just be the mechanic and walk around and build things.
