I've helped a neighbor putting up his garage-tent. Similar to Shelter-Logic. We were just the two of us and it took us all day and a lot of cussin'. But we got the job done and he is verrry happy with the space!
Now shelter logic needs too include your how to video with their tents.....good job. Hope all is well with Dianna and her mom, still praying. God Bless
It is very sturdy, however I noticed it wears through the cover faster than the rounded frames. I taped cardboard over the top of every angle bend to prevent holes from forming.
Oh nice, I should just get something like this. Man when you stand next to some of those trunks it gives a real sense of scale to how big some of those trees are!
I’ve had good luck with my green tent for years. Some people say just the opposite. I know that three other people who’ve had tents like the green one even longer and they are still standing.
Thanks. I talked to my mom today and she told me my brother was coming over for the super bowl. I said what super bowl. Ha I forgot there even was a football season this year.
Man that's handy to have that sand and gravel resource. Glad you had some help. We missed seeing Lulu. 😉 I put that dang tarp shelter frame of ours up by myself and it took about 2 hours. I didn't have the bottom end pieces so the thing kept twisting and folding up on me. I did a time lapse but the camera fell over after I set it.😩 I waited for Gin to help putting the tarp over it. 😆 Have a good one!
I've had a Harbor Freight "portable garage" for many years. I keep a sacrificial HF tarp over the actual cover, held over it with bungee cords. The sun eventually destroys the tarp, but the original cover remains in good condition. Replacement covers for those shelters are much more expensive than a regular tarp.
I need one of those over here lol, especially one rated for wind!! Sweet setup over there Brian and that's definitely is a 3 person project for sure!! Stay safe up there sir!! Dan
Dan, I’ve had good luck with these tents. Some people gave them bad ratings but there are three green tents owned by neighbors 4 years old or older and they are all still standing. The zippers may be broken or some other small issue but in my opinion these shelter logic hold up really well. Now we live in an overcast environment so the sun may play a roll in them not doing well in other areas. I know that new tent says it’s treated on both sides to block UV. Ha I may have gotten a little long winded but I’ve been happy with mine. I just commented to CB saying they make greenhouse too. I might get one for this spring.
I’ve had good luck with them. Ha I wish, living in the SE and on the coast we’ll get snow and then warm weather that brings rain and melts all the snow. Today our high was 16 degrees, low was 0. We’ve got about 8 inches on the ground. In a couple of weeks it will warm up and start raining again. 😂
@@AnAlaskaHomestead Similar temps here, was above freezing and raining here the other week. But the average has temp was around the freezing level . Had snow since Oct , just got 8/10inches in the last few days. Now it,s clear windy and way colder.
Looks like a pretty nice storage shed. Only problem it seems to take a small village to set it up. The eagle sure looked like he was enjoying himself, during a break in the weather.
It should last us a long time. I think that eagle was wet. They normally spread their wings like that when they want to dry them out. Maybe he got a fish earlier.
We have a shelter logic up here in interior Alaska. We knock the snow off after each snow fall as our neighbors shelter logic collapsed under a heavy snow load. Winter of 2020-21 had a total snowfall of 91.3 inches
The good thing about SE Alaska is we have warmer winters and not as much snow fall. The trade off is high winds, 82 MPH last winter and high seas, 12’ was the highest if I remember correctly.
Nice storage tent. I'll consider using one for firewood storage. Hey I finally broke down and bought the Filson Double Tin Pants yesterday. $190. Nice closing with the sunning eagle.
Good video, thanks. Regarding the door, consider rolling it up in the opposite direction, from inside the shed, it should make it easier to secure after rolling. Plus snow and rain will shed off, rather than gather within the roll. And when rolling, you won't have to stand outside and get wet if it's raining. Also, r
Assembling that shelter was much more involved than I unexpected! Was very nice your neighbors came overt and gave you a hand because you needed every bit of the 3 of you to put that together. Any more word on how Grandma Jo is doing and when you expect everyone home?

The Costco tent did ok for the amount of snow we get here. I’ve had no issue with the green one with the steep pitch. We’ve had it for three or four years now. The pitch of the new one isn’t as steep but the frame square instead of round. It did cost a few hundred dollars more though. $800 for the green $1200 for the new brown. That was the last quality tent in Juneau so I paid the extra money.
I’m curious to see how the new brown one holds up to the wet snows you guys get. I currently have one of the green ones and it’s done very well with shedding snow.

Thanks Mate Great work
I got the thinnest material and I would recommend getting as think as you could get. The tent itself is great but the cover started to fray on the corners where it rubbed against the frame. I taped cardboard on the arches to keep it from getting worse. We’ve never had a problem with the round tubing but the square stuff seemed to rub a lot.
