I have an Arrow 12 x 20 Carport that is about 5 years old. Tractor Supply Black Friday deals, ending up paying under $1000 including taxes and shipping. It's held up through five New England winters including one where we had 4ft of snow drop in two weeks.
Investing in another shelter for you to keep your nice stuff out of the snowy weather and buying your helper more shoes will certainly keep the folks at your house very happy indeed !
The magnetic light is genius! Everyone is getting ready for Alaskan time to work in the evenings. A Woodhound has to process their wood. Great job Wayne!
Great Idea Dan from Wayne. If and when your cover goes bad I used the metal roofing on mine when the tarp went bad. I use to keep my boat inside one of these. The tarp lasted many, many years, then I covered it with the metal.
I boughtva 10x10 shelterlogic shed-in-a-box about 14 months ago. It was like $170. It has lasted the 14 months but now has tears in the middle supports. I called shelterlogic and ordered a heavy-duty replacement cover for $500 and has a 5yr or 10yr warranty (I don't remember and would have to look at the paperwork). Of course, the cover didn't make it before the first blizzard of 2ft. I decided to coat the top with flexseal rubber coating hoping the shed will make it to spring.
Great idea for the bucket and fork storage! I would recommend using the broom end for pushing the snow off. Sooner or later that handle end is going to go thru the woven cover. I usually get 3 years out of 1 in the UP of Michigan. Sun and snow eat them covers up!
I should take a push broom back there and use that...what I had that I just used the handle of was a landscape rake...lol...so didn't wanna use the other end.
You are very welcome, Dan I have been swamped with firewood deliveries since last Friday and haven't kept up with YT this week. Booo.I really gotta get my priorities straight!🤠 Our first dusting of snow and cold snap had all the non planners in a panic. Glad you still have a great use for your previous shelter and now won't be standing knee deep in snow/dark/wind. While swapping out attachments!👍 P.S. My last name sounds like the musicial instrument Harp with a T in front of it. All good and have a great weekend!👍
I had one the same size about a year ago and I loved it. Unfortunately one of my rams did not love it. A head sized hole and a high wind pretty much finishes off the material. The happy ending is that I kept the frame up and it's now a greenhouse with an electric fence wire all the way around.
When pushing the snow off of your shelter you may try turning a push broom around and use the broomend, you cover a larger area and not have to worry about a sharp end.
@Back 40 Firewood - What is the manufacture for the pallet forks you have? Looking for a good sturdy set of walk through forks. Thanks in advance! Looking forward to the Livestream tonight. Have a great day & Enjoy your day Around the Yard! - Brent
I always say you can't have enough places under cover for equipment and storage. My wife does disagree with me though. We were dreaming about what we would do if we won that 2 billion dollar powerball. I mentioned I'd probably get a new tractor. She said - yes, but no more garages or buildings! :)
Question for you. At 6 feet high how wide is the shelter? The walls are on angle in and want to see how much room I’d have to put my 1/2 ton truck inside but still open doors. Thanks
Don't even use a round end of a rake handle. You make think it's ok but you are stretching that material whether you realize it or not. Use the bottom end of the wide garage broom.. thats what I do.. Gary
It’s amazing what a bit of lighting does to a space…ultimately, it’s just “some poles and a hanging tarp”…add good lighting and it become a very nice space during the winter…🤷🏻♂️…envious!…sure wish a had a half a dozen of them right now!!! By the way not too terribly far from ya…Stockholm…down overlooking lake pepin…
Holly crap... I bought the 12x20 shed in a box for 600 Canadian... I think that's the first time anything was cheaper in Canada at a box store ever...lol
The fabric comes in three different grades, right? 12 X 20 come with various heights and roof shapes. Some are totally enclosed and some are open in the front. You may have purchased your building many years ago prior to the inflation. The store you purchased from may have been closing.
That idea should be worth at least a Backn40 sticker for Wayne.

Linseed oil comes
from flaxseed.

Yeah, broom brush end not handle end!
Very good idea Wayne! Making good use of that shed shifty!
Yeah get er done 💪
Wayne.. That's a good idea.. thanks for watching and commenting 😁 👍
Try a push broom from the inside to knock the snow off.
Could you do a review on your tractor. How it’s been and what’s wrong with it if anything
You are very welcome, Dan

Two thumbs up
Hi Dan, Thanks for the idea. I think I'm gonna try it. Saves floor space. Shalom/gw PS Happy Thanksgiving!
SL needs to double layer the top for northern climates

Good Idea, stay 😎 🪵🚜👍🏼🇺🇸
Use the brush end of the broom to push the tarp.
My friend Outdoor Adventures with Brayton sent me over
You might want to put a cover over the end of your tree trimmer so it doesn't make a hole in the tarp
That is a good point...no pun intended...lol

You are pretty sharp.

Jennifer needs to loosen up a little

I'm not exactly sure but I'd guess at least 8' wide...it angles in but not all that much.
I use to give suggestions but getting it wrong so many times I quit lol. I know my place lol!
🤦♂️🤣🤣
Hahahahahaha....
what is the weight of your cover (oz)
I believe there are three different
grades of fabric.

steel roofing on it?
