Contrary to popular opinion, I freaking love Pablo Honey. I know it's not the sound Radiohead is known for today, but hell, I love me some good hard rock!
I was wondering why he wants it to rain down, I love the rain because everyone stays indoors and I can walk about alone lol, but not sure what HE means... :)
@@hamadyorke I took it as intentionally asking the universe to curse him, as in the character point he's singing from had done something terrible and he's asking for punishment
The paranoia is obvious in the first verse, as a result of all that anger and disappointment. So, he asked God for some divine comfort to get rid of (the unborn chicken voices in his head). But, he didn’t get that from God, so he’s mocking him in the “God loves his children” line.
The "rain down" part brings me back to 2018 when I saw Radiohead live for the first time in Bogotá, Colombia. It started raining when they were playing this specific part, it was one of the most magical moments in my life.
