Just got one of these…my first Lexus and first hybrid. Was concerned about the drivetrain, but it’s actually great. Really suits the car. So solid, smooth and with a feeling of quality engineering. Suspension is mint too.

I love how Lexus seem to pay no attention at all to the competition. It's like Toyota have given them their own standards to meet. You can really tell a lot of thought and detail goes into Lexus and it's brilliant

It’s also far less likely to break down than any of the others.

Great review, Mark, having driven one of these for the best part of 9 months I totally agree. It’s great to look at IMO and drives so well. It’s perfect for long journeys.

Toyota reliability, Lexus perceived quality. If the Q3 had this level of reliability, it would be my ideal SUV.

At the point at which Lexus decide to put a proper Auto in their cars, I might think about buying one. Until then ...

I was so waiting for this car as I needed a small family crossover. and then I saw the trunk. you were super nice on that matter. I called it non-existent. Unless you like to commute and throw your handbag there, and you get home delivery from Waitrose... this is a failure for a family larger than 2+cat.

It was never intended to be a family car. I don't know why would expect a car in the subcompact class to serve that role. The trunk is perfect for my needs. Its my commuter car.

The UX has the excellent P711 hybrid synergy drive with two electric motors and the three way planetary gearset. So much better than the Honda two electric motors and two speed gearbox or KIA with one Electric motor and DCT! Toyota/Lexus do it best.

I guess lexus and Volvo realised, unlike ze Germans, that the 's' in SUV wasn't to be taken literally. I'm glad you approve of these

Great review why don’t they and Honda and it’s sister company Toyota get a better gear box do they not learn it’s the thing that puts me off thanks again keep them coming

Mainly because Honda is not related to Toyota or Lexus, and Toyota and Lexus hybrids are incredibly sophisticated technology.

The Toyota E-CVT as used in the hybrid power train has earned itself a reputation for being bullet proof reliable. Yes CVT transmissions are odd to get used to, but it doesn't take long.

      @vanaramauk  3 года назад +1

Nope. Slightly smaller boot than class average, but fine. Occasionally frustrating gearbox, but usually very nice. Rubbish nav.
In every other way really good, so it's really good.
Happy to help. :-D Mark x

Cheers for the reply Mark.love your honesty,in fact iam in dialogue with vanarama to get a fiesta vignale 155 ,but with the panoramic roof and wireless phone charger as extras.
Vanarama are atleast £25 per month cheaper than any other lease supplier, and that comparing identical terms and deposits👍

Awkwardly styled inside and out, compromised interior space, oddities you don't want designed into the cabin and "good visibility"? Really?? It looked anything but.
    And those wheel arches!! No
