The "CVT transmission" It isn't shifting any gears and calling it a CVT fits the definition of those words "kinddah", but what's inside is totally different from a gas only car's CVT. When it is sport mode, is the noise coming from a sound generator? ASC.
Too generous with the compliments and scoring. For the same price and similar luxury (and better tech), Toyota Venza is the way to go. Better alternatives are the RAV4 hybrid, Ford Escape hybrid, and Tucson hybrid (with a conventional transmission). At this price point, the only advantage the Lexus has is you'll get a free loaner car when you take in for service.
nice review. it is a dressed up corolla hatchback. i doubt that it's worth the extra price increase. they should change the name to SAM ( slow as molasses). 🤔🧐😣 a Kona Limited at only $26 K gets about the same mpg and will blow the doors off this slug. 🙄
"Extra small"? I bet Lexus loved that description.
Always wondered what these look like inside... great review!
Thank you. I do like the purple leather, its cool.
@@CarCoachReports it needs a purple logo in place of blue lol
That would be very cool actually.
Get it right is 8.5 sec not 10
Constant velocity transmission = CVT? I thought it was continuous variable transmission?! Am I missing something here?!!!

I like it. 👍
Plus, it's a Lexus. ❤️
Agreed. Sadly its under powered
@@CarCoachReports Yeah ... but it is ... actually ... a hatch with bigger wheels. 🙂

There are some positive but these great vehicle are not in the luxury category. This competes with Audi Q3, BMW X1, and Mercedes Benz A-Class

LOL thats a good one. The Kona is a great product but not a luxury car.
Kona limited, oh better make sure your abs brakes don't catch your house on fire 🔥 👌 😜 😂🤣😭
Looks great, no power...Next!
You got that right!
I'm SORRY but the Entertainment System "Sux" but everything else is good. Although, I Like the Tuscon Hybrid Better Plus the Warranty's.
Love the Tucson, which we reviewed. But the Tucson is not a luxury.
Is that a glorified Rav4?
it is a glorified corolla hatchback.
@@jrs9264 which still looks like Darth Vader's wife's car.
😂😂😂
Continuously variable transmission
inferior to a dual clutch transmission.
@@jrs9264 I 100 agree with you. I detest any CVTs
I know sad
@@bobdavis3357 uhmmm I own a car with a cvt and it'll blow the doors off of V6 automatics. I feel sorry for your views
@@darioschaeffer5513 not mine. And a CVT doesn't last nearly as long. Nor is it as quick. You are so 😂
The ugly front grille says.."Luke, I am your Father.
LOL Darth Vader - hysterical
@@CarCoachReports The grille looks like Darth Vader's mask.
It does now that you say that - love that
@@CarCoachReports I will refer to this Lexus as the Halloween car. All masked up. 😂
Bruuuhhh blame Audi bawdy for the don't grille
