Best prepared mentally? Strongly disagree. Only 1 gold medal doesn't make USA the best team mentally.

Back in 2021 that was very true but this year not really.

Guys, you kept repeating the same twisted information that China beat Serbia 3-1 in the Olympic Qualifier, but you’re forgetting that Boskovic was kept off the court during this entire match. Serbia had already clinched her Olympic spot before they played against China and Tijana didn’t even bother to play.

I think Serbia managed to have a good passing line vs. Italy, they had Jegdic, Busa, and Uzalec (Lazovic as sub). they were good.

Tijana is the queen! And I agree, she’s the most consistent opposite hitter as of the moment.

1.) China, 2.) Serbia, 3.) USA, 4.) France. I think the Chinese have figured out an effective formula this past VNL with a combination of veteran players and newbies.

If every nation has improved except USA, & you're still picking them as top 2? Lol. They've gotten worse in my eyes. Yeah, China bombed out in Tokyo but....Yingying was still a raw & young player and Zhu was dealing with a wrist injury. Definitely Zhu is not the player she used to be but Wu Mengjie has flashed potential to be the next great OH.

And China's alternative player is Zhuang Yushan, the reigning FIVB U21 world champion & MVP.

100% Zhu Ting (hopefully) plus Ding Xia will get China into the medal rounds. Otherwise, they'll be eliminated in the QF if facing a strong team.
USA is very unpredictable every Olympics although they dont have a solid offensive player. Jordan Larson will play a vital role again here if they want to reach the medal rounds
If Boskovic gets the supports she needs (good service receptions and someone who can do the scoring aside from her), they'll surely reach the Gold Medal match and can even win their 1st gold. But Guidetti will be a factor here as he had bad Olympic records despite having a strong team. Hope nothing's serious about Boskovic's left wrist though.

1 and 2 will either be China or Serbia.. USA will be 3rd.. USA may not even qualify for the play-offs..

I think Rob is right and so is everett. Rob is right in that this team will live or die by Plummer. She can be a complete difference maker. But she can get in her head and completely tank it too. Everett is right on the Koga point. I think the US can match her offensively, but they can't compete with her all around game, esp defensively. Personally, if the OPPs struggle and it is the weakness for the USA, I would love to see an outside the box move Plummer to OPP to take the passing pressure off and start Larson/Krob as OH's.

Can you both do a video or segment just talking through why Karch is the GOAT? A resource for some of the newbies who might not understand, seeing a LOT of silly comments in other groups about how he's not that big of a deal because they don't like/understand his coaching decisions 🙄

USA setting is a big question mark. Annie Drews > Jordan Thompson. MBs are all great. KP and Kelsey hitting. Justine working her hardest to put the team on her back

Team USA lost to China, Brazil, Poland, Türkiye and Italy (twice convincingly within a week) just a month ago. I love our athletes and I’ll be for sure rooting for them but American athletes are very inconsistent and we’ve seen that in the VNL and world championships in the last few years. The USA still has a lot of work to do in their program and hopefully will be in contention for the gold again in LA 2028. Meanwhile for Serbia, they just lost a friendly match against the Dominican Republic so I’m not sure if Boskovic will be able to carry them to anything beyond a bronze again. The Cuban Vargas won’t be able to carry the erratic Turkish team just like she couldn’t at the VNL. In my opinion, the clear favorites are Brazil and Italy. But I can see teams like Japan and China making it far as well.

serbia also defeated italy and poland in the friendly games, so you might as well put premium into that as much as you do to serbia’s defeat to dominican republic.

Larson (if healthy) is much better than Robinson.

Agree. Kelsie couldn’t step up as the leader. She only relies to nice sets but when it comes to out of system she fades out. She can’t take control of the situation unlike Larson.

      @el222 Месяц назад

Worry not. Cai's secret pet or lover Wang Yunlun is not on the roster, thank god for that. Wang had the ability to wreck the team all by her own self. Millions of fans are still wondering why she got picked over much younger players with way more upside. At her age, what you saw is what you were getting, not an ounce more. 😂
