Thank you for a great piece about one of Britain’s most formidable novelists, whose work is as relevant today as it was then. All her books are wonderful portraits of characters that, even today, we can recognise in the people around us. And the true sadness is that, had she lived longer, we would have had even more of her great books to delight and entertain us.
I'm glad you enjoyed it, thank you 😊
I just adore Jane Austen and Pride & Prejudice!! A classic piece of literature
Thanks for watching 😊
Thank you Jon, good video and as always well presented 😊. She was ahead of her time.
Much appreciated Anita 😊
You have a lovely calming voice! We covered "Northanger Abbey" for my GCE "O-level" (as it was known then)! I loved it! That was 50 years ago. I'm 67 now! Wow! Time flies. Thank you for the memories ❤
Lovely comment. Thank you for watching 😊

Wow I loved Jane Austin. It's been so long since I read any of her novels. I'm going to break them out and read them again! Thank you Jon!😊❤
Thank you, Theresa. I'm glad you enjoyed it 😊
Another great episode. Keep them coming.
I appreciate your support and encouragement Mary Ann 😊
Very nice video with charming illustrations. I think what people today like about her books is a sense of a more settled and predictable society - economically and politically - than we currently enjoy.
It was a much simpler society back then. Thanks Suzanne 😊
Lovely video, Jon! She was one in a million.
Thanks Trish 😊
Thank you Jon that was lovely 🌹✨️

Does anyone know what she suffered from?
Was it Addisons disease?
