Ralfidude, OperatorDrewski is a HUGE inspiration and entertainer of mine to watch. Just watching his DCS video of you helping him out was amazing. I can't really explain in words how much it means to have an inspiration of mine learn by someone I've never known up until his video, though all I can say is thank you for also inspiring me, as a viewer to learn and be inspired to enjoy a realistic flight simulator, although I cannot play it, I can watch it and hope that one day, possibly in real life, I will be able to have one of those planes in my hands. Once again, thank you for the inspiration.
@@Xxfireman024xX ED sais that, but I have doubts...there are two versions of the M61...the ground version mounted on the M163 Vulcan is build with slightly different angles for each barrel, where as the aircraft version looks to have straight barrels.

How do you render those targets so well in 1440p for example @10:43 they are so black and clearly visible even when you zoom they look like they are rendered double?
As much as I miss the hog vids, I can't blame Ralfi for having fun in all the various other things. Being a walking WMD in an a-10 can get boring at times, I imagine. Don't get me wrong, I still love the uploads. Everything Ralfi uploads is great.
@@Zbenesch That what people sometimes miss about range. It doesn't just have to fly the range that the target is when you shoot, it also has to cover all the extra distance the target travels after it's launched.

I don't know. Maybe I'm just being too pessimistic, but it looks like zero fun to me. None (or maybe one) of the bandits fired on ralfi. And there was lots of them. Either it's AI on easy, or AI with no missiles... Whatever it is, it's not fun if you have targets flying in the air waiting for you to fire missile on them.

Hey Ralfi, I've been wondering for a long time every time I see your desk setup what equipment you use? On your Twitch and RUclips you have your PC Specs but not your peripherals ( I recognize the Cougar MFD and that's it). Of course I know your HOTAS choices because of your various review videos, but for example there was a button bar behind your Cougar MFDs in one video (I think the F/A-18 Grip review?) that I can't find anywhere... all in all I'm just wondering if you might add your peripherals to your PC area on your twitch channel for those of us who are making our own setups / simpits. Thanks in advance, and keep up the great vids!
That was probably the Buddyfox UFC which I made a video on as well. Other than that, I have the thrustmaster TPR pedals, as well as a streamdeck. Everything else I own is what you've seen me review. (Aside from the WinWing F-18 HOTAS which I'm reviewing right now, video soon).

Because the target was diving towards the ground and the missile was trying to pull lead pursuit. Therefore it crashed into the ground. This is the reason why he was diving in the first place.
@@alexanderbeck5998 The issue is that they haven't updated the SA page to include altitudes for those data link targets that show up on the radar screen. So you end up locking dead space by accident. I hear they are supposed to make some corrections or additions to help with that because it's stupid difficult to discern the host targets from own found targets on radar, while it's clear on the SA page.

DCS World itself is free, and there are some cheap HOTAS available...that's how I started. Of course it starts adding up once you really get into it. Track IR head tracking: 150-200$ on Amazon Warthog HOTAS or similar: 300-400$ Full Fid Modules: 30-80$ each Maps other than Caucasus: 30-50$ So yeah, I can see the problem...
Hey Ralfidude .. Did you do something to piss off the exec's at Thrustmaster ? This recent TM FA18 stick compition , was very suprised to not see you in the melting pot.. for what it is worth I think you should have been in the mix of the North American guys .. with that compition . (Might be busy teaching an other well know streamer how the art of Virtual flight ;-) ).
fox 1 :Semi-active radar guided missile (aim-7 sparrow, needs to maintain aircraft radar lock) fox 2 : infrared guided missile (aim-9 sidewinder, follows aircraft heat signature from their engines.) fox 3: Active radar guided missile (aim-120 AMRAAM, radar guided missile with the ability to track with its own radar. AMRAAM is a bit different because its semi-active radar into terminal phase active guided radar, which means it tracks by itself in the last 10-12 miles of impact to target. alternatively the aim-154 phoenix is also a fox 3) Yeeting an AMRAAM/Fox (without numbers): acceptable enough in a casual environment. im sure your buddy can understand what your intentions are as long as you don't have them locked up. they might want to know if its a fox 3 specifically on the off chance that they're within tracking range of the missile and it goes pitbull on them.
