- While I only had a limited amount of time to get on and stream before I had to leave, Arlios joined me in the PGAW server so do some SEAD/DEAD against a SAM site. Unfortunately the AI had different plans for us and things got completely out of hand...

Damned fine coverage by that AWACS, trying to do his best to get everyone vectored properly. Good situational awareness.
Arlios' radio presence has improved EXPONENTIALLY, and it's always good seeing him around doing anything.

I'm always amazed how ralfi can hold his ground in a-10c longer than I can with hornet :P especially over water with no cover :D

Oh shit I think I was there! Not in the battle mind you, I was doing something stupid in a harrier at the time. This mission directly impacted mine though! I saw a couple A-10s flying over the straight, and the Hawk was silent so I assumed air superiority was given and the enemy air defense suppressed. If either of these assumptions had been true we wouldn't have a video

What type of (single) monitor, and size, would you recommend for DCS as it seems visibility at distance is an known issue?
it's trade off. the lower the resolution, the better you can spot targets, but it'll be fuck ugly.
if you get a huge 4k monitor, it'll be beautiful, but it would be hard to spot the dots

but curved monitors are really nice, so get one if you can

@@jakewb2316 matter of "just do it" aka training ^^. aviate, navigate, communicate. if you struggle with the first two, don't mind #3. also, if you do this often, you'll get good in picking up when YOU are talked to (aka badger, sabre, whatever) and also how to apply military radio procedure: who, what/why need, where, when or variations of this, depending on what is priority.

They're tuning it and bringing it back, plus (P)GAW has some magic as well.

I'm not a fan of mavericks for anything but tanks or SAM kills. I don't think they have enough thrust to go upwards or the maneuverability to track a flying target, so even helo kills are questionable.
They used to be able to kill AA targets, but if the target is close and not maneuvering you can still kill it.
