- This was a flight in A-10C Warthogs where we joined the Hoggit At War server and just went in blindly to eliminate ground threats. We didn't know we would have to fend for ourselves regarding Air To Air as well.
Arlios was my wingman, with the radios being simple radio mod (SRS).

Yep. I've only stumbled upon him recently and I'm already starting to binge watch him lol. As you said his level of skill and personality in bouncing from serious in combat engagements and swing right back to goofy humor right after are fantastic lol.

They need to fix the damn strobe lights on the A-10. It's like the light of god flashing.
having a strobe light reflecting back to you in the cockpit happens in real life sometimes. I remember flying an old Cessna 172 at night and getting a headache from the bloody strobe light.
@@iflycentral having a strobe blind you and reflect on parts that are blocked by other parts. Yeahhhh no.
@@yoyoyoyoshua the strobe that was bothering me was technically blocked by other parts of the aircraft also. It was mounted on bottom of the fuselage, and was reflecting off of the aircraft swings back into the cockpit. I guess it is a little different seeing as how the 172 is a high wing, but my statement was only to point out that it's not out of the realm of possibility that you would get some light reflected back even in the A10. Bottom line is it's annoying either way.

I’ve been watching ur videos for a few years now. They were awesome when I found them even though I had no idea what any of the calls meant or anything else. I’m in a heli academy now which has made these even better to watch understanding the concentration needed to track all of those flights inbound and also trying to fly the plane. Then having someone land backwards on the active. Anyway, without recapping the rest of the video, I love your channel, but have a new found appreciation for the content 👌

As the Pilot of the F14 landing the "wrong way"... we were landing at different airports... i was further up the coast, and the only aircraft in its airspace.

Shit happens, we were wondering what happened to you but when we witnessed your landing you appeared underground so it must have been really hard. We waited for you to vacate and then the f-18 after you to clear the runway before taking off. I really like your button box setup. I think doing a video showing how someone can build their own would be super beneficial to everybody, maybe post it on hoggit as well, they love this kind of stuff. Love the setup though!
Thanks mate, I appreciate that. My setup is incredibly easy to build and on my site I have a step by step guide to build a F/A-18 UFC plus additional guides about stuff such as set up the Arduino IDE, change USB HID names or DCS-BIOS vs HID. I have coded and designed the wiring diagram for quite a few people already.
I thought about making a video and post it on hoggit but users there seem to prefer ready-to-solder pre-coded joystick boards. Arduino instead requires a bit of very easy coding and that scares them off I guess.

GAW does seem to be a really cool server. Only played on it once but I had a lot of fun flying out a strike F18. Did have a pucker moment when I went to intercept some nearby 25's after going Winchester on air to ground. I was pressed right into the tail of the last one and picking apart with guns when he just exploded. Turns out from tacview that someone pitbulled an AMRAM from point blank range when we were so close together it was 50 50 who it would kill. I'm really hoping that isn't common on GAW or it might put me off.
The radio being in stereo is amazing, can just take one earbud out

I know I am 4 years late, but the GCI's voice is so familiar. I am certain they are a content creator, but for the life of my I can't bring to mind who it is. I realise the chances of someone reading these comments so long after the fact is slime, but if by chance you do and you know who the GCI is, could you please let me know. It's driving me bonkers. No need for a comms tutorial, just listen and jot down the brevity codes these guys use, when and how they use them, and if you don't know the meaning look up multi service tactical brevity codes

How do these servers WORK? Like when you started answering that guy asking you about your mission, do people just...take on roles and then act those roles out? Like was he doing AWACS or ATC or something?
Are there standing missions that people come in to fill out, or do you frag your own missions? And either way, do others have access to that information so they can help you or...or what? I'm highly confused.
You just do your own thing and communicate on the radio between other flights to coordinate. It's not that difficult.

How do you get your SRS comms to be so clean with radio FX? Whenever I use it I can't hear a damn thing.
