Really wonderful build. I'm trying to learn methods of "scrappy" builds so videos like this go a long way in helping me understand techniques and styles for doing so. :)
Hi Sar. It's way late but I'm sorry to hear about your medical issue (missed that stream). I hope you are doing better now. I always enjoy building at oberland, for some reason it's one of the more organic building locations for me. I tend to always forget about that lower elevation spot and tend to build around the upper perimeter. Anyway, take care. Im behind by a few of your oberland episodes so got some catching up to do!

Excellent work! I went back to my oldest character a few days ago and the settlements I built back then make me wince. The ones I make now aren't works of art, but wow those old ones were brutally ugly. I'm happy to hear that your med situation is better than you were initially told! Huzzah!
I know these vids are a few years old, but I’m really learning some cool techniques from them! Trying to do more scrappy builds these days instead of everything being perfect. Lol.
Great additions to the settlement. One thing that I think would be feasible for them to have at Oberland is a small bar. I mean there is a bottling plant just right down the hill for them to loot. They could use some wheeled boxes or something to shove it up the hill by train track. I also finished a new settlement if you want to take a look at it. I'm not really sure how to get the word out for people to see my builds. I'm thinking of posting on the reddit dedicated to settlement building. Can't believe it took me two weeks to build it. I think a week of that was trying to decorate without getting a save glitch. Also sorry to hear you were sick. I'm guessing that was mentioned in one of the streams as I have not got around to watching all of it.

love your videos man glad your health is getting better. just a quick question is where do you get all your building materials? do you buy shipments or do you just collect junk? I love what you are doing with Oberland station.
Thanks, and thanks! I get all my materials from pure scavving... I don't think I've ever bought a shipment in all the time I've played this game. With that said, I rarely start seriously building until the character's in its 30s-40s, so I've had plenty of time to amass resources before I begin. ;)
Getting in and around those trees is a challenge, but fun. The whole thing turned our quite well. The streaming with the Discord should be pretty simple. Vic, Denise or Kat could probably help you out with that. Take care.

SarDeliac absolutely agree, if you get the chance there’s a Mod that’s gives you Red Rocket to build on at the edge of Diamond City would be interesting to see you build there. Once again glad you’re all good and in answer to your question why people sub you, it’s because you’re easy to listen to, humble and most importantly an amazing builder.
You can relocate most "un moveable" settlers by making them a provisioner then assigning them to a job at the other end of the route. In my game I have 10 residents at abernathy farm that are all original settlers from other places. Dealing with the current residents, and also the trees and bushes that cant be scrapped are most of the challenges related to settlement building. Remove them 3 and the only motivations left are made up head cannon? For me the whole progression of the game is related to meeting these ppl at different times, and either moving them for their own saftey or defending their home and clearing out all the nearby locations. aka dont move on until everyone i already met is safe.

Had to use mods to scrap the vanilla tower but I turned Oberland station into Oberland Castle equipped with four defence towers 3 sets of barracks dinning area shopping area and even a Throne room
Never thought about using the Junk walls to give the outsides of the walls some more character. Bravo.
