The closest thing to a bald eagle I have ever handled was a full grown red tailed hawk. I had gone fishing and found it in the field drooling so I wrapped it in an apron and took him to a wildlife certified vet. That was the most exquisite experiences of my 77 years of life.

If you didn’t know I believe the caw which is used in television that depicts a bald eagles caw is actually the red tailed hawks . They opted to use the red tails due to its more menacing sound compared to the eagles which sounds more wimpy. I guess they didn’t want the national animal to sound not as menacing 😅

Could of done the same thing up in the tree. But I suppose it was more important to get a picture with it.

DC nest just underwent nestoration by the parents from a partial collapse . Best not to have too much human weight and activity within the nest plus its safer for the eaglet and the biologists to be on stable ground.

That looks like it would be uncomfortable to him. I hope it doesn't scrape around his foot like maybe shackles would to a human. I don't like this at all!!!! Seems like you could create something way more comfortable for them. Please do better.
