- This is a virtually fool proof process on how to restore the analog sticks for little to no money! Turns out the PS2 remote is a great contender for solving such a problem! You could also sand the plastic to give it some grip, not as good as rubber, but better than nothing.

Hi ,guys just wondering if Anybody knows what the best glue to replace my ps4 stick grips with.
Just buy a pair of metal sticks. The grip is a little bit worse, but at least they cannot get broken like the cheap original ones.

You can do this with ps4 joystick grips from another controller?
You can I did it with a spoiler PS4 controller I had lying around. I transferred it from the one which was spoilt (the pressure ribbons were spoilt) to my good controller where the grips peeled off
yeah it’s just kinda tricky because the rubber is much more tought

Cost effective tove my ass. you just have to open it up and change the shitty thumbsticks. What i really want is have the goddamn domed thumbsticks on my awful ps4 controller! I wosh sony would just make a "vintage" dualshock 4/dualshock 3 with touch pad for ps4. I tried grips/covers, got different thumbsticks like xbox one sticks and metal ones (dont get them they are AWFUL.the feel of metal sticks bumping against the plastic edges is plain awful and LOUD) . In the end i just took the rubber off the dualshock 3 and put them on the sticks i already had as i got tired of opening up my controller just like in the video. Sadly after a while mthe rubber tore off (like on your left stick) so i had to glue it together. My ds4 started to act up strangely (turning off by itself, some input delay etc...) so i was i thinking of buying a ds4 and a ds3 to take the ds3's rubber and put them on the new ds4 but....i forgot how i took the rubber off as i did about 4-5 years ago.
Btw...doesnt it feel weird without the ds4's rubber as its plane hard plastic so doesnt the rubber cave in a bit when clicking L3/R3? Thankfully this whole thing doesnt need me taking apart the controller cuz the V2 is a pain in the ass to open up. V1 was way easier. You have like a short ribbon cable that you have to connect with the back part half closed while the space is all crammed up and its hard to see..on v1 you just take the back apart and disconnect the long ribbon cable no problem. Cool no need for that. Im just gonna put the ds3's rubber on top of the new stick and thats it. If it feels weird as you said im gonna do like how you did it. Just hope its not gonna be hard to remove the rubber cuz i remember on my ds3 the bottom part was all entirely glued and i had to like heat them up for a bit cuz it was all hard glue and seemed like the whole thumbstick was all one part and no rubber to remove. Oh man what pain... Why wont sony just release a domed controller?! Even all these 3rd party ones are all xbox one copies that are shit and i hate them. Be either offset or concave sticks, i hate both
