Something to note about this game is that while JP and EN are shutting down the game is still successful in CN to the point where the CN server is making their own original content and to my knowledge has no sign of shutting down so for those who still wanna experience the gameplay/music you can still try it there
Huh... I wonder why it didn't succeed in JP, EN didn't because of the launch and people complaining about some censored designs... I hated how people acted with the EN launch... I loved this game, the only reason I stopped playing it was because I stopped having enough space on my phone and Cygames decided to make the game impossible to emulate on PC, that was the biggest reason, I would have had it on my laptop if I could, same reason I don't play Guardian Tales at the moment eather...
I started playing it in the beginning but I stopped after a while, not because I hated it but I was just too busy at the time. Finding out it’s ending is kinda sad because the designs in game were actually really cool 😭
having a graduation event before a game meets its end of service is such a cool idea ngl, since it's actually a farewell which is only accessible before that game disappears
Wait...whaat? I had a massive account that so lucky with pulls with great units and I deleted the app when the shutdown was coming close. That means I can't log back in and get my account back?
I deleted the game when the server shut down was eminent. I had gotten so lucky and had a great set of units. If I can get the app back am I able to get back in the game if I deleted it
i was playing it while the servers shut down, hit me hard cause the game released when i was in a rough patch, the story helped me get through a rough time in my life will never forget that, so long world flipper
I had the same experience. World flipper had a special place in my heart and I was able to find joy in the story when life wasn't going great. I'll never forget this game.
I'm glad that you made a video about World Flipper, since it's one of the best gacha games I've enjoyed. One unique thing about it is that grinding bosses is possible even after using all your stamina thanks to random bells, letting you join a random player's lobby if they decide to host it publicly in multiplayer, and you can still get the currency from it to buy stuff like armaments from the shop. Hosting a private raid is also possible, and I absolutely love this feature as it allowed players to use stamina pots and ask people on a discord server to join a raid without the possibility of trolls, and sometimes even carry them or help one-shot a boss for faster farming. I've met many cool people thanks to this small feature.
In the world flipper unofficial discord the game has been fully archived (all of the character stories, world stories and side events) along with offline/ independent servers being available and being further developed! :D
this is the type of game that if they made a version without the gatcha (get units and other items through story/quests/grinding, max lv cap by default) for $10-$15 on mobile and steam/console shops I could definitely see myself and lots of other people playing
Sad Dragalia is already gone because to me that’s one of the most interesting examples on how to handle a Gacha game. It was so absurdly generous that I believe kinda lead the game to fail. Another interesting example is a game that imploded on itself called DOT: Defenders of Textel (iirc), which kinda ruined its own economy by allowing players to TRADE units.
That’s the sad trend about gacha games it seems like being generous is often a death sentence while being as predatory as you can get away with is rewarded with big money. It’s sad that what moves game profitability isn’t how good the product is but how good it is at convincing you to put up with its psychological exploitation.
@@-Seaheart-That's why people are better off making regular games instead of gacha ones. That way, you get a complete game while the developers get paid more consistently.
@@-Seaheart- I mean, when you're in the F2P market, stuff like "generosity" is always a balancing act. Too singy and nobody plays. Too generous, and the devs make little money.
Yeah I remember that game doing everything it could possibly do to direct you away from spending money on it. Everything you could spend money was so expensive and not worth it, meanwhile the game would constantly shower you with free resources and powerful units.
I think the easiest way for a gacha game to not fail is to follow the azur lane formula. -Make ssrs easy to get, even urs have servicable rates -Go all in on making every character worth having, even if not gameplay wise -Make the ammount of characters you can have limited, but not to the point where its particuarly hard to have everyone you want -Make the skins also all out, voice lines, design, and animations. Boom, now people wanna pay for the cosmetics as theyre using the free gems to expand dock space to have the characters themselves that are worth it. If more gacha games capitalized on cosmetics and voiclines being the sticking point for premium currency rather than the gacha itself, they would have a better monetizarion and not need to worry about being too generous in the gacha. Nikke almost follows the same principle
world flipper had such fun and unique gameplay. I played for a bit until the grind became too much. Rather than these big expansive open world games, I would like to see more gachas embrace smaller scope but higher quality games.
I found this game late 2021 and immediately fell in love with it. The gameplay was so simple and the characters were so lovable that I just couldn't help but play it more! Unfortunately, due to psychological mumbo jumbo, I ended up only playing it around the holidays and losing my progress each time I stopped playing. I regret not playing it more because it has to be one of my favorite gacha games with one of the most banger soundtracks ever. If anybody else wants to find a good gacha game to fill the void, Touhou Lost Word is still active, though it can be a bit confusing at times. And The Battle Cats is also a great game if you're willing to do some grinding. I hope all of you have a great day!
I remember being excited for the English release of this game. I picked it up as soon as I could and instantly saw the lack of care the dev for the English version had. Don’t know how it was near the end, but at launch you couldn’t spark if you didn’t do paid summons. Several characters monuments were also just in Korean even if your language was set to English.
I honestly wish they would take the games they spent years on and completely convert all the content into a functional game you can just straight up buy. I'd likely give World Flipper a shot for 20 bucks or so.
Honestly all gachas should get the Megaman X Dive treatment. I have a VERY strong feeling of schadenfreude with every live service that goes belly up, it fills me with glee, cause I think every gacha is inherently predatory and made to be as inconvenient as it can possibly be for no reason other than customer exploitation. But I also understand there's a LOT of people who are genuinely invested in these characters/gameplay/story and it pains me that there is no real way for them to preserve that experience and share it like any other game. Which is another reason why I hate live services, even when they are mildly good there's always the looming shadow of it being suddenly shut down one day, left to rot in the void, unplayable.
@@grayrodent8232 Yeah, even if it's no what Megaman X-Dive thing They could at least do the Kingdom Hearts Union-X one Where they replace the Game with a Menu of all your Statistics and an option to visualise all the Story Cutscenes
@GearDiego23 no, Regis' Voice actor is Tomokazu Sugita who also has some well known roles. King Johnson is voiced by Takehito Koyasu who is the person you're talking about ^^ The two are together alot so it makes sense for the mixup lol
If I were allowed to make a deal with the Nintendo Devils, I’d sacrifice Fire Emblem Heroes for five more years of Dragalia Lost in a heartbeat (I’m a feh fan, but God I miss DL)
You know a game was beloved by its players and community when said players make private servers for the game so they can replay it long after the EoS happened. Dragalia Lost was the only gacha game I've played for more than 2-3 weeks (only recently matched by ZZZ too but that's beside the point) having played it from beginning to end. Such a great game, RIP
RIP World Flipper, you will be missed 🥺 thank you for the 75$ Amazon gift card prize from the global launch giveaway 💔 I'll miss you Shiro and Rolf, the bestest boys of World Flipper 🥺💔
I'll forever cherish my times with World Flipper, it's very surprisingly nicer compared to other gahcas, it's the very first gacha I've been with from beginning to end. I love everything about it and I'll miss using units to fill up the screen with all their projectiles, especially Marina.
I played World Flipper sense it first launched and fell in love with it's unique gameplay. I also really enjoyed the amazing story and awesome cast of characters. I did take a break from the game because I wanted try other games and the newer updates were kinda slow, but I still really loved the game and was heartbroken of the news of the game's termination. I came back to finish the story and I'm glad I did because the story final chapters were phenomenal with an that ending that made me cry. I really hope World Flipper finds second life again someday because it was truly a fantastic game that I glad I played!!!😊😢😭🥰❤❤❤❤❤
This game was the first gacha I fell in love with! Generous and amazingly visually appealing. I really hope they don't move to 3D for the "another dimension" bit.
After years of playing world flipper as my main gacha this saddens me so much, the final event, people from the discord with which i played and requested guidance so many times saying goodbye, the hours and hours building teams, looking at the drive docs with the new meta, rushing to pull for XBianca cause it wouldn't come back in like 5 months, man, I never thought I'd be genuinely sad for an EoS, and I really can't think of another game that could make me feel like this, goodbye WorldFlipper.
I actually played World Flipper a few years ago, and it was quite a good time. I loved the art style and unique gameplay mechanics. I'm surprised it lasted this long but I'm happy it did. I also played Dragalia Lost which was also by Cygames, and that was honestly one of the best gachas I've played. I was real sad to see that game EoS as well.
Great video, I played World Flipper back when it initially released in JP as I was a fan of Cygames but didn't play for very long as I was more preoccupied with Granblue Fantasy at the time.
Not only did I enjoy the gameplay, this is one of the ONLY Gacha game (not based on another property) that made me care about the characters and their stories. I even did the character's side stories, not just for the bonus beads I got, but because I genuinely cared about it. I hate how Gacha games try to force players to work together like sending Friend Points, making Guilds/Clans, and Raid Modes where everyone HAS to participate to get rewards. But World Flipper just allowed you to co-op with whoever was available at the time along with the option to do questions solo or invite specific friends. There is just SO MUCH this game did right to create an amazing experience and it just genuinely breaks my heart that it didn't last longer.
whoa dragalia lost mentioned, i remember world flipper coming out after it, im surprised it outlasted dragalia, but it makes sense, you should do a deep dive on it since its a very unique gacha game in several aspects, from the controls, the attempt to be a mobile coop arpg, and ghe fact it was a joint venture between cygames and nintendo who are incredibly reluctant to share anything, it event got a fire emblem heroes collab
I really wish you would release these videos like a week before shutdown to give viewers the chance to actually try it out for themselves. It's always so frustrating to watch these videos and seeing that it shut down just a few hours earlier.
I had a fun time playing World Flipper in the JP server from back in like 2018. At the time, I was juggling World Flipper, Crash Fever, and some other gacha games but World Flipper was the most simple but easy to get into gacha game ever. So many good waifus to collect and stories to listen to while playing this game. Going to miss this game 😥
I came to world flipper at launch since it was around the time Dragalia Lost announced EOS and absolutely loved it, it essentially was my rebound. I had the same thoughts with Dragalia where the IP that Cygames managed to build has so much potential for a Re-Dive similar to what princess connect did that i hope when the gacha genre calms down they can resurface.
omg i was sooo into this game and so involved in the community and i havent played it in a hot minute but i was still sad to see it go. im happy to see you make a video on it!!
Miss u in nikke but your recent videos have the highest quality I could dream of in the gacha community, this end of service are doing more good that we can think because the issue with lost media is not about forgetting something but about not being able to learn and repeat mistakes, thanks for your hard work
12:20 You could skip the pull animation entirely...but there was also an option in the settings to turn off the "fake out" animation, so every time you got that animation it was a guaranted upgrade to that pull.
This was one of the best Gacha Games in Years! It was creative and the story was super good! Im glad they could finish their story! But dont mourn my friends they actually registered a new World Flipper IP recently in JP so we can hope
Man I was so addicted to this game in college it was actually so good. It’s a shame it shut down I never got to finish the story. Also I know the whole OST isn’t posted online still we really need to fix that somehow.
Wow. This looks really cute and neat. I really would've liked to test it out just for the interesting concept. I feel like it's interesting, but pinball is something that is inherently built around limiting your control as the player. I can see how it felt like team comps and your gear was more important when skill is meant to play a smaller role to a degree.
Didn't realize this ended, this was atleast to me the game I would occasionally play when I'm waiting for just screwing around on my phone. Didn't really keep up with it or play it a ton but did quite enjoy it.
Great video! I really love hearing you talk about gaccha games! I would love some kind of video about Valkyrie Crusade, I played that game so much for a long period, but then they changed so much that it became a game just for whales and now it is out of service, only the gallery of all the characters remains.
Shit. This hit me harder than I expected. I knew it EoS was announced. I knew it was coming. I forgot it was today. I’m gonna miss this game. It was such a breath of fresh air in the gacha landscape. It’s one of the very few gacha games I spent money on (I’m almost always f2p). Had a full electric team centered around a 3 star that I adored the design of (the rest of my units were all 5 stars though lol). Good bye world flipper. I hope another one like you comes along.
honestly just wish they would put the story mode avaible for offline play & give us tate mode support. I honestly think this combat system was so much fun and we dont get enough games in this style! o7 WF
World Flipper was great. Hopefully I will hear about a non-live service version. 💙 I just came into a time in my life where I wanted to be more focused, and I kept hitting the end of the story quickly after an update. If I had known the story had ended, I definitely would have come back.
The story of this game took me for so many turns through the last few days, and even though I never got to max rank or got every unit... I still enjoyed everything I got to do. All of these characters and the story will always stay with me. Until we meet again in Starview Village! Thank you for everything, World Flipper!
I'm gonna miss this game. Played for nearly 2 years and stuck with it until eos. Characters were just so fun and interesting, damn shame they might not see the light of day again. Hopefully I am very wrong though. See you all on the flip side!
I really like their visual choice, 16bit pixel art style with colorful color and amazing visual effect even for such small character is really lovely Story is simple but interesting Sometimes i'm forgetting this in not develop by cygames themselves It's kinda shame they can't survive much longer because the gameplay kinda stagnate the more they progressing I hope what they tease is proper game of world flipper on console
I think that every end of service can be handled better but this is one of the better ones. I would like to see one where the developer just makes the game like an archive single player game but of course there is costs associated with that.
Honestly, this game helped me cope with the fact that dragila had its eos. And in played through the story fully. And helped me understand many things. I wasn't until I heard that jp had its eos. I didn't feel as devastated as Dragani lost, but I had some regrets while playing. For every five star I got, I screen shot it in remembrance of the game. Now that I know the game is ending today, I feel kinda let down since it was made by cygames. But other than that. I feel as though the game did me justice❤❤❤
I’m quite sad World Flipper EOS’d, especially after being a DL fan (still sad it’s gone because it was one of my first online multiplayer experience growing up. I’ll never forget building specific units for team comps in High Dragon Trials / the Agito Uprising / Raid bosses, etc.) I fell in love with the pixel art chibis and the pinball gameplay had surprising depth for it being literally anime pinball. I ended up quitting a few months after playing just because I kept getting busy at the time.
@icession4872 oh boy since introducing higher than EX fighters the game started slowly dieing, not to mention like two months before the announcement the was just no content except new Kyo
@@shorterazer6858 dang so the collabs died down huh or mismanaged I suppose which sucks because I was there when the Tekken Collab happened iirc then I stopped at the Wwe collab cause I couldn't play anymore because of storage problems which is I still have the same phone to this day I'm guessing it's gonna be 10gb+ and welp I'll hope he'll make a video on KoF:AS indeed.
@@icession4872 oh we got second tekken colab and it was dogshit, then street fighter 5 colab was good, virtua fighter colab was good, guilty gear colab was goated tho, but street fighter 6 was the last one and it got truly paywall charcter
I wish they'd kept the game on life support for longer, because I really loved this game. Same with Dragalia Lost. Two of the best mobile games, gone. The uniqueness of it being a pinball game, combined with extremely cute and interesting character designs really drew me to it. It wasn’t the usual gacha waifu combat simulator trash, it felt interesting and cool. The loading screens were really annoying, and part of the reason I didn’t get much time to play it was that I’d poke at it for a little bit every few months and have to download a massive update. really wish they had done an offline version.
I played Dragalia Lost from launch to EoS, then moved to World Flippper and have now played that from launch to EoS and now I don't have another similar-looking gacha to jump to, pretty sad. Gonna miss it, but I guess this is my chance to leave behind the gacha life.
I loved this game, the only gacha I could play just on the go and have fun knowing I can get a bunch of pulls from nowhere and randomly get 5 stars like crazy. I’m sad I never finished the story I loved the art and the character, never would I thought it would die 😢
I was always interested in trying this game, but never had a device until recently, around when they announced they were ending service. A Pinball RPG is a pretty unique thing that we really don't see much of, and would of been cool to see it get an offline mode.
I LOVED THIS GAME! The voice acting was perfect, the graphics were awesome, and gameplay was superb. It's kinda sad it came to an end. I hope the game is re-released somehow
This game made me happy like no other! I played it by chance, looking for new games, and stuck with it for a few years. It had so much charm, and I am glad it collected such a fun community~
It should be mentioned how great the writing is in english. The writers were so good and I had proper chuckles and funny moments, especially when the last event they ever had deadass had a character talk about improving their "rizz". Nimbus and Alk's dynamic is especially well done.
gosh i loved world flipper when it released. the soundtrack had me humming it for months. i left because i wasn't in the mood for the late game grind as i was there for some pinball
started playing it months ago and managed to beat it just in time for the finale, although it ended just as i was reading the finale lul... im gonna miss it so much, it was such a fun ride all around, i loved all the characters so much.. Nimbus, Alk, Stella I hope we see u again someday 😟 (untill then hurray for fan servers!)
I loved this game, but my main reason for dropping it after a few months was because it was a gacha game. The art and music is great, the story and writing is honestly better than many big players like Genshin, and the gameplay is perfect for a phone game. The issue was feeling like I have to log in every day, and feeling manipulated into dropping money for more pulls only to not get the characters I want. I hate gacha games, I hate playing them, and I hate that feeling of getting addicted, that 'I need to log in once a day' nonsense, the only way I can stop it is by uninstalling the game entirely. The game also didn't have a pity system at first, so I spent a lot and got nothing to show for it, so I gave up before I kept spending. I really wanted to finish the story but the final story hadn't been released when I dropped it. Still probably my favourite character designs in any gacha, the artists really poured their heart into making a great game, such a shame about the business model.
I played World Flipper for a little while and I really enjoyed it. Finding out the EoS notice really made me sad even if I didnt play it anymore. I am glad to have been a part of the community, even if it was for a small bit. See you on the flip side gamers o7
Speaking of Cygames, to set more context towards another of their games, I would like en episode of End of Service on Dragalia Lost that you mentioned. Cause that one's shutdown hit even harder compared to World Flipper, especially when there's no currently no sign of a revival coming. And I know you're gonna say you can't do an episode towards a gacha you can't play anymore, but thankfully, there's private servers available with the majority of the content playable.
such a charming and unique game. it did always feel rather generous and honestly despite the heart break of missing the rainbow crystal during gacha it was hype as heck
i remember playing this game, the co-op experience in the first week is awfull, lot's of unsync that sometimes i don't know what is happening. But i have so much fun due to how simple the gameplay is.
When a gacha game has an original combat system it immediately makes me want to try it. That was the case here. I tried it at launch and played for some months, but when it became pure grind with autocombat I thought it was time to leave. Really enjoyable until I reached that point.
my favorite part of the game was definitely the main 4s dynamic, it was so cute and fun seeing them interact! Its sad that there wont be anymore of that 💔
I used to play in JP and was pretty good actually. my favorite part was the raid system mechanic, it usually was pretty quick at finding other players but near the end they added a bot system that could choose a team to fill the gaps (it the bot used a player team that already beat the boss so you don't have to worry about it). Fun fact (?) WF had some furry characters and they were some of the few that focused more on the female furry characters, this is rare because most gachas with furry characters try to hide them by making them lower rarity or focus on the male ones.
The only mobile game that I fell in-love with. What I hate about live service games is if they die, they die for good. A big part of me really hopes that it becomes a trend where mobile games that are shut down is turned into standalone offline games, Megaman ReDive and Metal Slug Attack Reloaded for example. In that way, I could always revisit these games virtually forever. World Flipper would be a very fun standalone game since it's already satisfying to watch a pinball machine go wild. I'm calling it here here. World Flipper: Reflipped, coming soon. 😭
It’s still very bitter to me, I absolutely love Vainglory but greed made its downfall inevitable, it’s still playable online but absolutely nothing new, riddled with bugs and long queue and error yet people still play them to this day.
Started playing it when it released, can say one of the best gacha games I've ever played, loved the marble style combat, wish I new it was shutting down so I could have at least finished the story. o7
World Flipper had my favorite cast of character designs, it was so varied and colorful. It was also the only gacha I had with more than one playable female furry character instead of the same copypasted buff guy in every other gacha doomed to the lowest rarity. My favorite design wasn't a furry though. Cirqueharle was an idol, a circus master, a harlequin and a harlequin rabbit (irl rabbit breed that has differently colored fur in both halves of their body) which was reflected on her hair and clothes, she was so damn cool and her second art went so hard. Rest in peace my wife Mia you will be missed, best tiger girl to ever exist, I had both of your alts and used them even off-meta.
I was there for the full four years for the global version, and I learned of the end of service but didn’t think much of it since that would only remove multiplayer functions or so I thought… Imagine my surprise when I find out that the entire game shut down instead. Why couldn’t they have just left the story and events singleplayer and just removed the multiplayer function. I loved the game and I can’t help but hope that it somehow will allow me to access my account and play single player again.
9:00 That reminds me of Naruto Ultimate Ninja Blazing. They did also have an encyclopedia that was next to the login screen and when the game shutdown, you could still open it and look at all the characters information entries of the chars you got, but you couldn't login anymore or download it from the app store. After all, it would be kinda weird to have a game advertised on the app store, that isn't playable anymore.
10:51 Finally someone is gonna address how horrible the Sakura Wars roll out was, make sure to mention how DW shutting down affected negatively FGO in the last couple of years 😭 Also nice vid man, I played WF for a few months and had always a soft spot for this game, it's really unfortunate that it was shut down 😔
Final Fantasy Brave Exvius announced it's global EoS to the end of october (not the jp servers), it's an interesting game to comment about because it's one of the oldest gacha games that was running until now, it had it's problems like the crazy power creep and the neo visions problems but overall the game was nice, definely you should check it out
This game helped me get distracted during a bad period of my life and was a place that i met a lot of good friends, it's sad to see how it ends but i will always carry these good memories with me.
Man i was a day 1 player, the end of service notice killed me man the game was so good i always kept it on the side monitor to farm and the TAs were peak (except thunder lmao)
I discovered this game when i entered university, I played it for a bit, found it really fun then forgot about it, I'm now recently graduated and I actually just learned it got terminated by watching this video, i'm a bit sad I didn't spend much time on it while I actually wanted to, but well, it's too late Anyway, great video
About Cygames, one titles I wished they kept offline somehow was Dragalia Lost. Especially considering it was also a colaboration with Nintendo. Maybe they should had made a Switch Offline Port.
i played jp world flipper religiously and it was honestly one of the more fun gacha games out there. i was so sad to see it go, and even sadder now that the global client is now also gone. hopefully we get something new based from the cryptic tweet the jp twitter account posted.
I played world flipper when it dropped, played when it ended, and played it many times in between, and I always had a good time with the game, the unique ideas and themes and gameplay. I'm gonna miss it
I actually managed to play it after it went global at the time. It was fun, however i remember the game had a very rocky start. As you mentioned the amount of unnecessary loading in this game is insane. Also energy portion was very scarce back then. And there were a lot of frame drop and lag when playing the game. To the point where it always crashing. It was very annoying. Also playing the story required energy to play in which it leads to some situation where i was so invested in the story to only get cliffhangered because i ran out of energy to continue which was such a turn off.
Looks like Guardian Tales is next to be EOS before Season 3 is finished and by the time I complete World 16 and get 1st Corps Commander Camilla on the Nintendo Switch.
Something to note about this game is that while JP and EN are shutting down the game is still successful in CN to the point where the CN server is making their own original content and to my knowledge has no sign of shutting down so for those who still wanna experience the gameplay/music you can still try it there

-Make ssrs easy to get, even urs have servicable rates
-Go all in on making every character worth having, even if not gameplay wise
-Make the ammount of characters you can have limited, but not to the point where its particuarly hard to have everyone you want
-Make the skins also all out, voice lines, design, and animations.
I hope all of you have a great day!
grand summoners has a similar vibe to it and with the recent changes the game it became a chill game to play
@@grayrodent8232
Yeah, even if it's no what Megaman X-Dive thing
They could at least do the Kingdom Hearts Union-X one
Where they replace the Game with a Menu of all your Statistics and an option to visualise all the Story Cutscenes
Bye World Flipper.
Regis gang forever
I miss regis. Best character ive ever experienced
Was Regis the guy from the techno dome world? with DIO's VA?
@GearDiego23 no, Regis' Voice actor is Tomokazu Sugita who also has some well known roles. King Johnson is voiced by Takehito Koyasu who is the person you're talking about ^^
The two are together alot so it makes sense for the mixup lol
RIP dragalia lost :(
yea
I remember wanting to give that game a shot, but I couldn't move it to my SD card for some reason.
Ended up just playing Granblue Fantasy instead.
I love that game
If I were allowed to make a deal with the Nintendo Devils, I’d sacrifice Fire Emblem Heroes for five more years of Dragalia Lost in a heartbeat (I’m a feh fan, but God I miss DL)
You know a game was beloved by its players and community when said players make private servers for the game so they can replay it long after the EoS happened. Dragalia Lost was the only gacha game I've played for more than 2-3 weeks (only recently matched by ZZZ too but that's beside the point) having played it from beginning to end. Such a great game, RIP
World flipper is one of the games that makes me really sad to see end, it's a great concept and a fun game that just didn't catch on well
RIP World Flipper, you will be missed 🥺 thank you for the 75$ Amazon gift card prize from the global launch giveaway 💔 I'll miss you Shiro and Rolf, the bestest boys of World Flipper 🥺💔
I truly wish I could play it all again
There is just SO MUCH this game did right to create an amazing experience and it just genuinely breaks my heart that it didn't last longer.
grand summoners has the same concept no guild bs and co-op is pretty generous and ennoyable
whoa dragalia lost mentioned, i remember world flipper coming out after it, im surprised it outlasted dragalia, but it makes sense, you should do a deep dive on it since its a very unique gacha game in several aspects, from the controls, the attempt to be a mobile coop arpg, and ghe fact it was a joint venture between cygames and nintendo who are incredibly reluctant to share anything, it event got a fire emblem heroes collab
I’m gonna miss this game
I just came into a time in my life where I wanted to be more focused, and I kept hitting the end of the story quickly after an update.
ALSO CLAW AND ALBERT WERE MARRIED ITS TRUE MISTER FLIPPER TOLD ME
I'm gonna miss this game. Played for nearly 2 years and stuck with it until eos. Characters were just so fun and interesting, damn shame they might not see the light of day again. Hopefully I am very wrong though. See you all on the flip side!
I really like their visual choice, 16bit pixel art style with colorful color and amazing visual effect even for such small character is really lovely
Story is simple but interesting
Sometimes i'm forgetting this in not develop by cygames themselves
It's kinda shame they can't survive much longer because the gameplay kinda stagnate the more they progressing
I hope what they tease is proper game of world flipper on console
Can't wait for you to review guardian tales
Same
The video will be titled "End of Service | Guardian Tales"
I’ll never forget building specific units for team comps in High Dragon Trials / the Agito Uprising / Raid bosses, etc.)
I fell in love with the pixel art chibis and the pinball gameplay had surprising depth for it being literally anime pinball. I ended up quitting a few months after playing just because I kept getting busy at the time.
You know, there are now private servers for Dragalia if you're interested
Oh!, King of Fighter All Stars is gona End of Service in 99 days, from today, Would be nice to be in the list, meanwhile, i´m waching the vid ❤
Wait, really? Damn
Dang you serious about that one?! I thought it was popular enough I might as well redownload it to check it out again.
Wow this series is very interesting, as a fellow gacha player seeing smaller ones I've never heard off getting shut down is very insightful
This game was actually so good.
Wow, this game looks like my kind of game. I am sad that I never heard of it until now. Thanks for making a video about it!
such a charming and unique game. it did always feel rather generous and honestly despite the heart break of missing the rainbow crystal during gacha it was hype as heck
Me entering the vid: "Well, this vid sure can't hurt me"
Me 1 min into: "Dragalia ;_;"
i remember playing this game, the co-op experience in the first week is awfull, lot's of unsync that sometimes i don't know what is happening. But i have so much fun due to how simple the gameplay is.
I appreciate them not being scummy in the end and actually programming an ending. Kinda sad :(
When a gacha game has an original combat system it immediately makes me want to try it.
Thank you for making to what I consider a tribute. Side note, very excited for Uma Musume
I played this game for most of its existence in global, fantastic game. Super sad that it’s gone :(
Thank you World Flipper for giving me hours of fun and being my favorite gacha. I will keep you in my heart ♥️
I wish it had a download and single player version of this at all times :( sad to see it go
This game was so fun, I wish it had an offline version with all content accessible. I’d definitely spend 10-15$ for it
I was there for the full four years for the global version, and I learned of the end of service but didn’t think much of it since that would only remove multiplayer functions or so I thought…
Imagine my surprise when I find out that the entire game shut down instead.
Why couldn’t they have just left the story and events singleplayer and just removed the multiplayer function.
I loved the game and I can’t help but hope that it somehow will allow me to access my account and play single player again.
"See you at the Flip Side."
I played a lot of World Flipper. It was one of best game I have ever played. Thank you for this video.
Omg, these pixel arts are so nostalgic of Maplestory items!!! Their graphic design is peak.
10:51 Finally someone is gonna address how horrible the Sakura Wars roll out was, make sure to mention how DW shutting down affected negatively FGO in the last couple of years 😭
Also nice vid man, I played WF for a few months and had always a soft spot for this game, it's really unfortunate that it was shut down 😔
Final Fantasy Brave Exvius announced it's global EoS to the end of october (not the jp servers), it's an interesting game to comment about because it's one of the oldest gacha games that was running until now, it had it's problems like the crazy power creep and the neo visions problems but overall the game was nice, definely you should check it out
Yeah I was just about to say that and that sucks
My first live service gacha game was a game called Ayakashi Ghost Guild which was launched by Zynga. Gave me my first taste of End of Service ptsd
This game helped me get distracted during a bad period of my life and was a place that i met a lot of good friends, it's sad to see how it ends but i will always carry these good memories with me.
kancolle plays a major role in the japanese gacha industry, and you can trace all of them back to the golden days of DMM games
Man i was a day 1 player, the end of service notice killed me man the game was so good i always kept it on the side monitor to farm and the TAs were peak (except thunder lmao)
I discovered this game when i entered university, I played it for a bit, found it really fun then forgot about it, I'm now recently graduated and I actually just learned it got terminated by watching this video, i'm a bit sad I didn't spend much time on it while I actually wanted to, but well, it's too late
Anyway, great video
This genuinely makes me so sad. After monster strike went away, this was even better
About Cygames, one titles I wished they kept offline somehow was Dragalia Lost. Especially considering it was also a colaboration with Nintendo.
Maybe they should had made a Switch Offline Port.
Not my furry units... MY ROLF BUILD WAS PERFECT! PERFEEEECT
i played jp world flipper religiously and it was honestly one of the more fun gacha games out there. i was so sad to see it go, and even sadder now that the global client is now also gone. hopefully we get something new based from the cryptic tweet the jp twitter account posted.
Oh man, I was thinking about going back to this game. It has pretty effects that make brain happy. Sad to see it come to an end
Can't wait for the FGO review. I've been playing for close to 5 years and im curious to see what your opinion is even if it's negative.
I played world flipper for about half a year, it was fun and unique but there was always a content drought.
Looks like Guardian Tales is next to be EOS before Season 3 is finished and by the time I complete World 16 and get 1st Corps Commander Camilla on the Nintendo Switch.
