Very good. Rays baseline uses the root notes shown here, also in ascending major thirds, while he played the melody. I can do it...just. Ray was classically trained. Thanks for a good refresher!
Hey Willie, came across your channel recently. I wanted to try and learn this song. I thought I would never learn it. I am a beginner. I bought the full lesson on your website and in two days I am up to section 2 of the solo. I'm so happy to have found it and wanted to say thank you.
You probably dont give a shit but if you guys are bored like me atm then you can watch pretty much all of the latest series on instaflixxer. I've been streaming with my girlfriend for the last couple of weeks =)
The original was played in Abm. This places the intro in Ab, a semitone lower than you teach. Most teachers on RUclips teach it in Am. Why? Why not do the original key?
I know this is an old comment, but in case anyone else was wondering: This is the original key The Doors played it in, as you can see and hear from their live performances. It just sounds off because the original reel-to-reel was playing back to slowly, which made the song slower and a quarter step flat.
Because it is much harder to play in Ab instead of all those white keys and obviously those tutorials made for nonprofessional piano players, so I think this is the reason why

EL TONO ORIGINAL EL Ab y Db :S
I love it really, but it could be less talking and more playing. Slow playing.
Exactly. Slow and steady.
Very good, but talk too much! But very good!
Too fast, can't even pause the video to copy down the notes.
