Excellent tutorial, however, I'm trying to find a tutorial to play the original album version where Ray plays an acoustic piano. It's probably very similar to this organ version, but maybe a bit more staccato. All of the tutorials I've found are for this live version using the Vox Continental (also a great version).
Happy you liked it. I play also the studio version on piano. The licks are similar, sometimes identical and of course when you play on piano you use a more percussive articulation indeed. Maybe I’ll do the studio version as well one day 👍🏻
Look for a good midi file 💾🎶 but it would be better if you get a professional score 🎼 from a Doors keyboard book... 🚪🎹📒 (Hal Leonard or similar)

JIM DID SAY "DO IT ROBBY, DO IT." NOT LONNIE. LISTEN CAREFULLY. HE ALSO SAYS IN SOME LIVE VERSIONS WHERE LONNIE MACK WAS NOT THERE. he also says it right at Robby's solo when Lonnie wasn't playing anything special.

Thanks a lot Jules, I'm always very happy about meeting new "Manzalovers" :-) I do play LA Woman of course and I transcribed it. I'll make the video (or maybe in some chapters as it is so long!). Don't have the changeling for the moment, but I love the hammond there.

wisegamer yes, I always play the Grace notes indeed. They were very used by Ray to give the bluesy effect. I didn’t play them here because they confused the score, but I do advice to play them

My name is also Daniel, like the name of Raymond Daniel Manzarek. When I was 15 years old I saw a TV show about rock and met The Doors. I thought, "this is it!". And I was fascinated by that sound of an allegorical organ that was unlike anything I had ever heard. And I decided to learn to play. I came from a poor family so I had to be self-taught and spend my life playing low quality instruments. Today I play in a band. Here's a song that I wrote.

Well, I don't know very well the CTK-800. This sound is obtained by a Combo Organ, in this specific case of this recording it should have been a GIBSON G101, however the signature organ used by Ray was the VOX. I doubt that the CASIO has a similar sound, from the tone lists that I've seen, maybe the "electric organs" could go in the direction. However you could come close also with some organ sound "hammond like", that will be present in the CTK. They will be more than enough to have fun which is the final goal!
