    you have no idea how much this is making me feel better. I’m so so sorry you have to go through this. The weight of the pain was cut in half while listening to you talk about this. Something about not being alone is so helpful.

    Oh my gosh. I ordered from your etsy shop about a week ago as I wanted to get some fun tapes for my new NG tube. I stumbled across your videos around the same time but didn't make the connection that you were the owner of the etsy shop. I just want to say thank you for sharing your story. I was just released from the hopsital after a two week stay for a Crohn's flare. During my time there I was put on an NG tube and I found so much comfort in watching your videos. I'm back home now, still watching your videos haha. You're such an inspiration to me, thank you for doing what you do, even though I know it's hard sometimes.

    Hoping you're feeling better. Thanks for allowing us to join you on the ups and downs of living with chronic illness, while giving those of us who also have chronic illnesses someone to relate to and to also inspire us. I admire all the work you put into running your fun and interesting business!
    For nausea, I'll often stand in the shower and put the back of my neck right up to the shower nozzle and let the warm water hit the back of my neck for several minutes, sometimes even as long as 15 minutes. The vagus nerve is in that area, and stimulating it with the shower head helps.

      i am feeling better! And thank you so much for being so appreciative! I may have to try that shower trick next time

    flare ups are absolutely the worst. i (and im sure many of your viewers) understand that feeling quite well. the nausea gets so intense that you feel like you are on the brink of losing control and expelling your stomach contents everywhere. it’s literally my worst nightmare. im glad you’re doing better tho, thankfully those are only temporary! im so looking forward to seeing what the new product is 🥰

    • @KennaKrueger

      They really are and the intense nausea is the worst, but I’m so happy it has passed!

    Do you have different “kinds” of nausea, or am I just weird? Some nausea means I need to eat, some means zofran, and the worst kind means stomach evacuation. It has taken me a long time to figure these out, but it is helpful to know what helps now. Sorry you are flaring. I hope it eases soon. I was doing better, but some nausea returned today (thankfully not terrible). I cannot wait to see your new product!

      omg yes!! i relate to the different types of nausea so much. Also understanding different severities of nausea! Like i can usually gauge what kind of nausea treatment i need to give myself to help it. My flare is doing much better now i am so so thankful. Hopefully your nausea eases soon!

    I have gastroparesis too. I’ve missed an entire week of work. This condition is not good. The flares are horrible and my energy level afterwards is so low. I have to go and get fluids just to make myself feel somewhat better.

    I've been feeling the same as you. Fatigue is horrible, nausea is through the roof nothing seems to help me right now. I've lost so much weight. I don't have a feeding tube I wish I had one. I never thought I'd say that. I hope you're feeling better today ☺️

    My nausea is constant, but it’s a moderate level. But you know because I never get a break from it I feel crazy and super lazy some days. Nausea is such a weird thing because it can go from bearable to debilitating in like seconds and can come and go so randomly. I mean it sucks but the symptom that ends my days is always the pain.

    • @KennaKrueger
      @KennaKrueger  2 года назад +3

      Don't blame yourself!! Constant nausea is so so rough. And nausea truly is so confusing and unpredictable

    Yes I am at the end of my gastroparesis rope I go to the ER for help in terrible pain and they act like I'm nuts making it up the doctor say there's nothing they can do for gastroparesis besides offer us Ragland which 40% of the gastroparesis population I read cannot tolerate it and I'm one of these people one of these very unhappy people in sick of suffering with no help and even if they give me hell there's no help they can give me it's so frustrating

    Hey quick tip here, did you know you can run sterile water on your PEJ (just fill up a container or bag with it) up to 100ml/h. This is how we keep me going without a central line without me being able to keep liquid. 😉

    • @KennaKrueger
      @KennaKrueger  2 года назад

      Yes I know I can run water but with continuous feeds it’s hard to find time for it! Idk if my intestines could handle that rate but I could likely do a higher rate than what I use for formula!

    • @Junes.dreams.uk_
      @Junes.dreams.uk_ 2 года назад

      @@KennaKrueger yep that is correct water is generally better tolerated than formula 😃. I am on continuous feeding too (over 24h) but I have a second pump to run sterile water at night at the same time as I run my feed. You need to check with your home care company and your dietician if its available where you live (you would also need a given set with a med port in order to have dual entry) ☺️ (PS 100ml/h for water is a maximum rate indication as the jejunum is a fragile organ, you can run it at less if you want too depending on what you can tolerate).

    Forget the blood work thank and I'll find anything they already know what you got gastroparesis hell that's what you've got that's what I've got and a lot other people have it too and they just can't do anything for us who were left unaided to suffer on our own

    Nausea is awful.
    I got really depressed on Friday. I went to M&S (Marks & Spencer’s) & went to their food hall. M&S is well known for their lovely food. But because of having GP I couldn’t buy anything.
    I managed a mini hot cross bun on Friday but payed for it afterwards by feeling sick.
    I really enjoy your videos but I wish so much weren’t sped up so much. I tend to lose interest when videos are sped up. (Especially cleaning ones)

    Benadryl helps. Also, are you able to get on medical marijuana? A small amount will take it away.
