  • Every year, around Independence Day (Fourth of July), our kid's high school band program has a firework booth and as parents, my wife and I volunteer to help. To drum up some attention, the students bring their instruments and play random music. One of the students had brought bits and pieces of his drumset and set it up next to the sidewalk. Oh, and it's 104°F (40°C) at the moment.🤣
So yeah, we moved to Las Vegas. Today actually happens to be the 3 year anniversary of us actually bringing the kids here.
It's been a very hectic 3 years, especially coming back from covid. Part of the reason I haven't been able to post any vids are the lifestyle changes and not having a proper place to actually drum.
At any rate, the drums were sitting there on the side of a fairly busy intersection so I figured, why not?😅 It's interesting playing drums right on the side of the road. Maybe because it's Vegas, no one really batted an eye. Heck, there was some random dude playing one of those electronic wind instruments through an amp across the street earlier. 3 years living here and I get it. There's so many odd things happening in this city that you just kinda let it happen and move on.
