I'm American, but I literally could not tell by his accent that he was Scotch-Irish. He sounds like our Protestant preachers. I love his enthusiasm for the Gospel and how personal it is to him.
Ian Paisley was brought up in a part of Northern Ireland called north Antrim, an American fella I worked with said their accent is similar to American.

I was greatly privileged to hear this man preach several times in my life time. What a powerful man of God, not just in his preaching style, but in the effect of his preaching. One could quickly tell that man spent much time on his knees in prayer. Yet as bold and like a lion in pulpit, he was soft, sweet, and kind out of the pulpit. He has been enjoying the company of Christ for many years. God will that we all may be as faithful to Christ as he was. We look forward to meeting you once again dear brother. What a day it will be to worship Christ together without the stain of sin to diminish our praise and worship of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Churches on the ravenhill are nearly gone now. Belfast will never preach the word like this. Belfast /ulster need a man that can put the fear of God in you as our churches are not preaching the word they are feel good churches not God fearing..

Heard him preach in Glasgow once, had a true gift for expounding the scriptures.
