How much fuel drains before you remove the rail filter? Mine won’t stop. Almost 3 gallons.

Itll just keep draining, if you spin the housing a couple times itll activate a valve to stop it from draining the whole tank, i should have mentioned that but it slipped my mind, I apologize. you’re safe to just unscrew the whole housing now, itll be a bit messy but thats how i usually end up doing it anyways lol

Wix 33615 has both filters in the same box, in case you get confused. Prime the top filter with the diesel to cut down on the "6 key turns to prime it". (Also, diy'ers-use some diesel to moisten the o-ring before install-better seal).

I'm buying a 2015 F350 diesel from Tampa on Wednesday and driving it back to Washington State and I don't want any issues. Thanks for showing guys like me how to do this? I'm going to have extra filters with me just in case. :-)
    Great videos!!!

That valve is to check and see if you’re running red fuel. Farm diesel.

Shouldn’t be handling diesel fuel without rubber gloves.

You are right, but I’m a railroader I handle worse haha

    • @twilliams9326

There's plenty of worse materials to handle out there, diesel actually has a lot of detergents in it
