I wish my local hobby stores had a fraction of what you have. 😂
Exactly what I was thinking...
Your basement needs a basement.
If you haven't done yet maybe make an apron with your slogan on it "welcome to the bench"
Good idea
Guy has literally thousands of paints and then states, "There was nothing I can do." LOL love this guy.
Nothing I could do but go up 👆😀
@@barbatosrex9473 2 thoughts; 1, you could give away the paint sets you don't like as much, then cycle them as you buy more to free up the space you need. 2, you could just not buy more until you've used up a set (having restraint can be a good thing, I do this all the time with miniature paint ranges).
Don't give up on organizing! Some of the best creative times I've had or moments where I've been able to carry on with something that was difficult have been after organizing - and occasionally, instead of organizing! 😂
I feel ya. I’ve only got 600 or so paints, but I’ve been out of room for the last year. I think I’m going to go with a shelf going around my bench that’ll hold 16 nail polish racks. Love seeing all the paint organized.👍👍
Amazing the amount of paint choices u have..
You Win!!.... Absolutely nothing 😉
After a recommendation, I found these very easy to mount and use. My Vallejo paints fit perfect along with some other items I have for my modeling. When I move into my new house, I plan on getting more. Like you, I'm running out of space.
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot! I’ve never seen so many paints! I have to agree on the shelving though. I use nail polish shelves as well, and they are perfect! You can find so many different configurations. And I like that they are clear so you can better see your colors.
Cool video. You have an amazing paint collection! If only I had the space😁😁
Thanks for the quick video and the time you invest in making them
Love watching all the different vids coming out here.
I just bought some more Pro Acryl paint yesterday. I was thinking, "I am buying too much paint!". I watched this and feel so much better ;)
great been watching (on and off) while painting a tamiya model of Ayrton Sennas Mclaren MP4/4, your videos and tips have helped me massively now I feel quite happy using my airbrush and cleaning it out.
if it was not for the internet and youtube my model building would still be like when I was a teenager
WOW!! You have a few gallons of paint!!
Great video, the shelving looks awesome and functional. Thanks
LOL...I could never have that many paints, because I wouldn't be able to make a decision as to which one to use! Lol
Wow, I haven't seen that much paint in my life. You need someone to keep inventory lol.. Great videos.
You can alway trash something you dont use to my house... XD Ill gladly use them!!
Wish I had your problem Rex 😂
Robert....new paints both acrylic, lacquer and/or enamel, another collaboration on a airbrush, kits to build, re-arrange youre hobby room not just additional shelves. Dud dont how you do it...oh almost forgot your U-tube channel, plus you're patron's.
PS. I was going to suggest putting your posters on the ceiling but i saw it looks like a drop ceiling, so maybe not.
Anyway awsome video, i believe all us just drool when seeing your hobby room. Good luck with everything you're into.
Have you considered using drawer sections for your paint storage? Meaning actual drawers, not the clear plastic ones, something like an IKEA Alex or similar (not a specific recommendation, just an example)?
You could mount the racks to what would be the bottom of the drawer and with the drawer section turned on it's side, they become slide out paint racks. If you can find some pre-fab ones the right dimensions, you could probably store a lot more paint in the same space instead of using open racks.
I know that having all of the paint on display is part of the aesthetic and work flow, but for example, the CD rack has all that dead space around the pre-made racks. Another example are the tiered paint racks. While it's great that everything is visible, all of the space under the tiers get wasted. Even if you did that for just paints you don't use terribly often, extras / overflow, you could probably get a lot more stuff in the same space, or free up the "prime" space for the stuff you use constantly or the things you really want on display.
It also wouldn't be too hard to build something custom sized if you can't find something the size you want it. I know I never can because it's always off in one dimension or another. All you would need are some 1x3's, drawer slides (1) and some plywood (2), and wouldn't require anything exotic in terms of tools. You'd need a circular saw, tape measure, a square, drill, and drill bits, screws & wood glue, and while a table saw would make it go faster, it's not a requirement by any means. Now, if you wanted to get fancy, you could cut in slots and make your own shelves instead of using the racks, but you wouldn't have to. You could also adjust the widths as needed, like using 1x4's to make shelves to hold all of your Tamiya rattle cans, or 1x2's for smaller dropper bottles (Army Painter, Vallejo, etc.) and when you consider the cost of all of shelving and all of those rack units, it might actually be cheaper.
(1) - Order drawer slides online, they're cheaper, and have more sizes available
(2) - Big box store panel saws are NEVER square. I don't care if it's the blue one, the orange one, or some other one, they are always out at least 1/4", which means the pieces will never line up square. If you're going to have them cut sheet goods to transport them, get it cut oversize and cut it to square & final dimension yourself. 3/8" would be plenty for the drawer bottoms, 1/2" for the sides and the back (which you do need, helps keep everything square) can be 1/4" if it's free standing, 3/8" or 1/2" if you're mounting it to the wall, depending on the size
If I didn’t know any better, I’d think you liked paint😆. Excellent organization there, thanks for sharing!!
My goodness you have a crazy amount of pain BUT CRAZY IN A GOOD WAY. Thank you very much for sharing. Everyone keep yourselves and love ones safe and healthy and remember to SMILE 😊God Bless 🙏
God Bless Teddy

That's a heck of selection of paints!!!! I don't think ive that many paints combined!! Nice setup tho!
I'll take that GT-R kit.....lol. Seriously, you make my organization skills look like child's play. Gives me ideas on how to make my space more efficient.
Looks great! Nothing worse than running out of room!😂
Just mount your speakers off the ceiling behind you.
I'd have too much trouble picking paints to use on my kits😂 I do wish to have that many options eventually!
For me, wall space area is the most critical area when it comes to organizing a room. These racks waste a lot of wall space. I have bought the 6 tier acrylic shelfs shown in another Barbatos Rex video and find I can get a lot more paint jars visible on the wall. My opinion only. LOVE your videos, keep 'em coming.
What an awesome paint collection! 🙂
That's a lot of paint.
Put an Alexa in your workshop with Bluetooth speakers in front and behind you. I listen to Springsteen in my workshop.
I thought I had a lot of paint. That's an impressive collection! Love it! 😂😂😂
I ordered a few sets of the iridescent ones. Thinking about it I probably should've gotten clear
Just received some more of these shelves myself and these new ones are around 2.3 inches wide so they take Tamiya spray cans etc. and those larger bottles like stynylrez primer. I just don't know how you make the time to do everything you do for this crazy hobby of ours Robert. Do you ever get to build any of the vast amount and variety of kits you have? Thanks for the eye opener that your hobby room is.
Great Video, great Fella.
Model kit boxes for show are nothing compared to complete kits for show. You've got just about every paint under the sun. When are you gonna make some kits? Lets do some art. Definitely get your speakers set up and lets get crackin on some cool custom gundams
I have that exact brand of racks and I love them
They're awesome
#1 Love your videos. Keep em coming I'll keep watching.
holy crap You read my mind !!!!
He said phase 3 or 4 😂
Can't wait for phase 7 or 8
How do you then decide which line and colours to go with with so many options? Does it come down to colours, brand, or a bit of both?
I was on Amazon and I found a vortex mixer using one of your videos as their own. It was listed as the Four E's Scientific Laboratory Vortex Mixer Speed 0-3000rpm, Touch & Continuous Function - Vortex Shaker Mixer Test Tubes Acylic Paints Tattoo Ink
I don't know if you know about that.
and I thought I had it bad with just one brand of paint with 96 different colors. AND....then the time to update brands of paints.
Rex can you do a review on parts holders with alligator clips with multiple holders? Please 🙏🏻

@@barbatosrex9473 thank you very much I appreciate it. I just have to paint 1 million little screws and you’re the only one I thought of that possibly would’ve had dealt with something like that and done review or I could really appreciate all your videos. Thanks.
Does your wife realize what you have? She’s a Saint.
Put your prints on the ceiling
What is the best paint choice or brand to paint lexan/polycarbonate RC bodies
Will the nail polish racks hold the 23ml Tamiya bottles?
I limit my paint choices to Tamiya and Mr. Hobby - that's just too much! :)
I don't think i could keep all of that paint around, I know you do more than just gundam and cars but I could get overwhelmed.
do you have your own line for acrylic paints? how do you keep your paints from going bad?
My acrylic line is coming soon
Somewhere in the states there a dozen horses gagging..you diffently have anoughf to gag them with wow.maybe you ought think about starting your own paint store.B.Rex paint every color that could be made.......
I just got my first dual action airbrush. Is there anything special I need to do to break it in ? Or are they spray ready ?
Hi Robert those are great paint racks for not to much money. But 1 question. Do you got a special Hazard License in your house?? Or is you house wellknow at the firebrigade, just in case something goes wrong??
Thay are nice looking rack
Heads up. If your music is digital like mine over 2million songs. In my hobby shop basement of RC, Modeling and Slot car heaven. (30 airbrushes later)I picked up white KRK studio speaker with a sub. Crystal clear sound, great for vinyl. Wont be disappointed.. cheers
World biggest hobby paint stock except companies..You need more space..:)
Do you actually build any models
Do you actually use all of your 100s an 100s of paints Robert
When are you going to announce the winner from buying the whole new set of Mecha empire airbrush ready paints
You might have a small addiction.. Just saying 😂
What a liar, this dude is just NOW running out of room for paint! Lol
