I appreciate all the comments everyone! But again! I build my cars which make me happy and I build them in the image I envision. I enjoy my cars and builds. Not everyone is supposed to like your car. Again everyone has different preferences and I hope you all build the cars you all envision as well. Build something different too many cars the same these days. Mitty Tokumeisei tbh. With how much power these cars have unless your doing MAJOR track events I didn’t value brakes that can be between 4-6k on these cars. Brakes are VERY important but cost/effectiveness personally on “these” WRX cars there are many other mods that can be done for street driving :). Now if I do a mod video of top mods for track. Brakes easily top 10 if not 5
With a factory tune, I recommend the xtra long throw shifter. That way, after easing off the throttle, double clutching, and playing a full game of solitaire, you can shift from 1st to 2nd
Best mod by far is a universal Subaru flex fuel kit from eBay saving 200-250$ from buying same thing branded by Cobb and then getting a flex fuel tune by Bren or phatbotti. Hands down best money spent. And if you bundle the ap purchase with their e tune then you save 100-200$ on that as well. Just went e50 with universal flex kit and power gains are insane. 360/360.
1. Shift stop any brand 2. Kart Boy or Perrin short shift adapter 3. Weighted and/or ergonomic shift knob. 4. Lighter wheels. OE weighs 26 lbs. Don't gotta spend $4,000 for 18 LB Volks. $1000 gets you a good set of Cosmis Racing or ESR wheels that weigh between 20 and 22 lbs. Rota Grids are circa 22 lbs. Rotary forged wheels are great too but understand these wheels (like RPF1 or NTO3+m) are great wheels but not ideal for places with potholes. Your wheels will bend. Can never go wrong with a set of Gram Lights 57DR. Recommend 18 inch wheels between 8.5 and 9.5 inches. +40 to +55 offset is best for handling. 5. Don't gotta buy Michelins, but Nitto, Nankang and Hankook make good wallet friendly performance tires. 235-255 width is best. Any more and your wheels gets heavier and wet traction worsens. 40 sidewall is best to protect the rim. Wouldn't go beyond 35. 6. Coilovers. OE struts and shocks are great. But if you wanna go low, fortune auto 510 on swift springs are really good. Ohlins if you got money. Tein and BC if you like me. 7. Sway bars. 8. Quality exhaust. Tomei, AWE, Fujitsubo, Nameless, Remark, Magnaflow, Perrin. 9. Air Oil Separator 10. Paint protectant (synthetic sealant, ceramic coat, whatever). Front lip for protecting the bumper, mud flaps to keep the summer tires from sand blasting the paint, whatever. Less warranty friendly but not voiding mods: 11. Hear wrap your headers. Headers will wear faster but oil temps will drop. A lot. 12. Cobb Accessport with Cobb intake and stage 1+ 93 octane tune. 13. Everyone builds around their budget, I dig it. Personally I like the flares made for the car more than the universal ones, and I would get real wheels over the vordovens. But I definitely recommend when you do have more saved up to swap out the cipher seats, they look nice and all but they're cheap and not FIA approved, in a car accident I wouldn't trust those seats to not snap on you. I've had friends run fake/cheap seats, your life isn't worth $400. Just my two cent, keep it up tho 👌🏻

LaFlame 5280 thanks bro! Headlights are OEM. Just added the c light and halo rings from inside. Previous owner did kit but you can do it yourself. Look up subiespeed and online to get pieces
I’m not into the STI style wing. I put a Perrin gunny flap on mine. Only 100$, looks mean, adds some great down force that you can notice even at 30mph. If you’re not into paying hella money for short throw shift, get a shift stop. Takes the rattle out of 1st and 2nd gear
That hood looks great. Theres some shit ones out there that dont fit right. You should post a list of the mods. Are the seats u got wider. Im 6'2 240lbs, stock seats are narrow as hell
Nice car overall, but I personally would have picked a different body kit, maybe something with more coverage, as to me it kind of looked odd or out of place, especially on the rear fender area, just my opinion :).
Sphoxros all good! The car came with this wide kit on it when I bought it. There are definitely better kits out there but looks much better in person. Appreciate the comment thanks :)
RED HOONIGAN VLOGS I have a white 2018 so I don’t think I would like the carbon fiber hood or that many carbon or black accents aside from a front lip but I do want some new headlights/taillights. I really like subispeeds. Everything goes really well with your car though good looks man
Mathias Strickland thanks a lot man! And aye that’s dope the new 18s look really good. Subiespeed has DOPE lights and like them. But they are pretty pricey. But they are swag and really nice go for it :). Build the car that makes you happy man
I got DGM, but I should have gotten Pure Red or WRB. DGM looks great with silver or white wheels and yellow Brembos. Otherwise, it's just not a great color for the body lines. Go blue.
The issue I always see is the fit and finish of the fender bolt-on's always seem to have space between them after warping. Seats def good idea. I'm 6-4 and when my kid had an STi I didn't fit within the bolsters.
Yeah you have to be arch for warping and just stay on top of it and make sure dirtying install fit is flush as you can with good hardware. Seats much better. Yeah my buddy is 6’4 as well so I understand how you feel. Thanks for comment
I have a dgm rex too and fam yours looks good. I just installed that same lip. that grill...omg Wish you were over on the east coast for a collab lol good luck with the build
Bro I love your wrx! I just recently picked up my 2019 wrx and I love it! I was wondering where did you get that red tow strap that’s hanging out the front? I’d like to put one on mine. @SubZeruVlogs
ROBSKI yeah those should be fine. To void warranty and manufacture has to “prove” the mods you did damaged or caused the failure to occurs. So that’s why embers, catback exhaust, wheels, etc are fine cause they have nothing to do mostly with engine for most part in terms of warranty
The carbon fiber hood is definitely first on my list. Am most probably going with an sti. Found one today in the pearl white....think it would look nice to contrast that white with the black carbon fiber in different spots.
@@ChristianHudnell Actually will be a good gift from my fiance. She drives a forester and after I commented on how much I liked driving it, she said "I'm gonna get you a Subaru then". I was like..."but the only Subaru I want is either a wrx or sti".
Initial D sticker on a all-wheel-drive car that will never drift in its life and put wide sticky tires on the car that will never spin. All the mods he showed never increase the horsepower
Mod 4 gonna have to disagree i have a 18 sti and 19 wrx as my daily.... sti handling is 10/10 out the box even if you change the sway bars or add coilovers its just not the same... let alone the better brakes and the lsd... wrx is more of the daily driver car🤔🤔 But you said for you... you must be smoking that good shit bro to feel that🤣🤣
Duckrockerz4life i was referring to daily driving handling, hence the daily reference. A WRX won’t handle on tracks better then an STI with suspension, brakes, diff, etc. but driving everyday being able to have a more comfortable driving feel and smoother. That’s what I meant. You can’t push in the street anyway. Thanks for watching appreciate the comment and congrats on cars :)
@@ChristianHudnell cant hate on the wrx i think it got a overdue update it clearly is the better value, because the sti to me is just a 2006 sti with better technology and handling But even street wise handling is a lot better like on the street u cant hit its limits, its just sometimes when you go on a rough road that experience is annoying but the wrx is more liveable your 100% right🤣🤣
Duckrockerz4life haha yeah!! I’m just excited for the next gen STI, it is seriously in big need of updating. I do agree though and handling I’m sure will be really good
Red Hoonigan, you caught any flack for trying to gain fame by bouncin' off the Hoonigan name.? I see you even rock some Hoonigan stickers. I see possible legal action in your future.
TEKNOiD hey! What’s funny is that’s kind of the name others started calling me. I have a red corvette and says HOONIGAN in it so people started calling me that. Many cars here in LA have HOONIGAN in cars. I been to the HOONIGAN headquarters with my vette and they liked car :). If change name if they asked me to
JTundra hey! Well a “catback” exhaust upgrade will be fine. The catback is just the edit point and doesn’t afford anything. However, changing the downpipe/j pipe- etc will because you will need a tune with those mods. Mainly catback good also because you don’t need a tune :). Good question
Did you consult the dealer first about whether or not these voided the warranty? I'm just curious, how does the suspension not void the warranty? You basically overhauled the whole suspension which seems like something that is voidable. For the spoiler, I know in the past you had to purchase a whole new trunk. Is that the case for these newer Subarus or can you easily just drill and mount it onto a stock WRX trunk?
Clemente De La Cruz hey! Brakes is a great mod but IMO if your car doesn’t have serious power or isn’t fully built then cost/effectiveness doesn’t make sense. Good brakes can be between 3-5k for really good ones. But spending that much on a car under 300 RWHP doesn’t make sense personally. But if my car was best mods for “track/modddd setup. Brakes would be top 5 for sure! 🙌🏾. Now if we talking about my vette brakes are important as well. Thanks for comment man
Ok, so the first mod, I highly highly recommend is watching a video from another, more knowledgeable creator who has a tuning philosophy for the sti and doesn't just highly recommend the parts they sold him at the local "tuner" shop...
Edward Agora Feenman I’m confused. I didn’t mention a single thing about “tuning” or performance power “mods”. This video is about warranty mods. “Tuning and power” voids warranty. I appreciate comment but I didn’t talk about that aspect in video. This car is my daily. I have my vette tuned
Madtwos ! Well he is stating to see a Person with more knowledge about “tuning” and assuming I bought parts from a local “tune” shop. I’m just confused how he can make that accusation when I mentioned nothing about tuning in the video haha. Also, I pride myself on getting high quality parts and taking care of my cars but again my cars. I build my cars to fit my needs and wants not just for someone else. If I’m paying for car I will build them the way I like and what makes me happy :)
Madtwos ! It’s all good. I just want to spread love throughout car community and enthusiasts. We all enjoy cars and building them. Take ideas from each other and if you don’t like them don’t use them. We all wanna build cars in the image we love and that’s what makes it fun! Your perfect build won’t be the same for others :)
Y'all might call this a "ricer" but this is about what the car owner likes. If you guys were really enthusiasts then you would realize that it doesn't matter how a car comes stock (to an extent) it matters how you upgrade it and how much enjoyment YOU get out of it. Remember how vehicles started, and look at where they are now, a lot of the styles makers use are inspired by modded performance cars, so wouldn't that make any car you get straight from the dealer somewhat a ricer as well? It's "slow" but it has added looks that at one point weren't standard.. An enthusiast should respect others visions....hey the dude with the lime green lambo or car on rims that cost more than the actual car might look ridiculous to you...but that's what they like.
SubZeru Vlogs You have good taste and no problem. Just curious, what headlights are those? They are the only aftermarket headlights I like the looks of.
xxDuo appreciate it! I actually made a headlight video talking about everything that went into the lights. I can’t remember everything fully but it’s on there :)
Mace 1 Subaru dealers scan a card ECU to see if it’s been tampered with. You can always try doing a stage 1 tune on car but they can now see if it was previously tuned or not
What is the width on your wheels? Did you have to cut a lot for them to fit perfectly? I’m about to do the flares myself and I’m worried about tire fitment/clearance??
Subaru’s are like a bob ross painting You fix it up it’s perfect and then at the end you go to far and ruin it Like stickers rope tow hook splitters on the rear spoiler Basically if you cut back a little it will look so much better
Not my cup of tea but those seats are mint!.. The ricer in me wants to love the headlights but man I keep thinking "evo" when I look at them.. idk if ill do it... What I hate the most is the color. I have the same color and I just hate it. Its so plain and does not give the CF hood any justice. With that said, I highly recommend you do a paint correction and full paint detail. It really brought out the deep color on my car and I can tell you need it too. You will love it.

Yeah exactly! If you have the warranty might as well take advantage of that
Hey man quick questions, what front lip is that. And where did you buy the wing and or get it installed
Armando Osorio check my RUclips video on front lip :) I got STI wing online
He highly recommend it
Just got my 2020 wrx and it’s got some of the comfiest seats I’ve ever sat in, lol
Kyle Weedon that is awesome! I know they made some cool updates on the WRXs. Congrats on the car
SubZeru Vlogs should i get a 2017 wrx or a 2020?
upix 17 if you’re trynna save money lol
Mod 4 gonna have to disagree i have a 18 sti and 19 wrx as my daily.... sti handling is 10/10 out the box even if you change the sway bars or add coilovers its just not the same... let alone the better brakes and the lsd... wrx is more of the daily driver car🤔🤔
But you said for you... you must be smoking that good shit bro to feel that🤣🤣
Duckrockerz4life i was referring to daily driving handling, hence the daily reference.
@@ChristianHudnell cant hate on the wrx i think it got a overdue update it clearly is the better value, because the sti to me is just a 2006 sti with better technology and handling
But even street wise handling is a lot better like on the street u cant hit its limits, its just sometimes when you go on a rough road that experience is annoying but the wrx is more liveable your 100% right🤣🤣
Duckrockerz4life haha yeah!! I’m just excited for the next gen STI, it is seriously in big need of updating. I do agree though and handling I’m sure will be really good
Great video. Where can I get the halo lights?
Thanks! I got the car with them on but I've seen people google them and add them on
Man awesome car, love the color and nice mods!!!!my grade is 9 out of 10.
Victor Herrero thanks appreciate it a lot!
hey great video, what year car is this?
Liam Rowlands thanks for watching! It’s a 2015 Subaru WRX
If change name if they asked me to
I saw you said your cat back exhaust was custom. Just wondering if you can tell me what you did?
Hey! Just a custom pipe that was made to fit the oem pipes. 3inch muffler delete with a mid pipe essentially
I was told exhaust will void anything from the warranty that covers exhaust
JTundra hey! Well a “catback” exhaust upgrade will be fine. The catback is just the edit point and doesn’t afford anything. However, changing the downpipe/j pipe- etc will because you will need a tune with those mods. Mainly catback good also because you don’t need a tune :). Good question
RED HOONIGAN VLOGS im thinking of doing a muffler delete
Easy mod to do and should make car sound better :)
I have the same questions, if u find answers please reply
How about brakes
Clemente De La Cruz hey! Brakes is a great mod but IMO if your car doesn’t have serious power or isn’t fully built then cost/effectiveness doesn’t make sense. Good brakes can be between 3-5k for really good ones. But spending that much on a car under 300 RWHP doesn’t make sense personally. But if my car was best mods for “track/modddd setup. Brakes would be top 5 for sure! 🙌🏾. Now if we talking about my vette brakes are important as well. Thanks for comment man
Great video! Thanks for putting all of this together! Hope to see you out on the roads in Chicago!
Thanks a lot for watching! I appreciate it
First mod to do as a vlogger. Get a better camera and gimbal to make it smooth. But sick wrx!
Ricky Marlbro thanks man! Yeah need to get equipment. Just wanted to start making videos and content but defiantly need better stuff thanks
@@ChristianHudnell Have to start with what you have. Good job.. will be subbing
Jason Hall thanks a lot man! Really appreciate it. I’m gonna buy a gimbal for next video
Did you remove the lip for the trunk and install the wing or did you trunk swap?
These years didnt have a lip spoiler and just added the wing to this trunk
I'm a DJ sticker cringe level cranked to 100
Damnnnnnn that model looks amazinnnngg
Thanks a lot! I appreciate it a lot
What he was saying is that he recommends someone watch a video from another person who has a tuning philosophy rather than your video which is not.
He was pretty much just being rude. But I understand what he said. lol
K M facts! Appreciate the comment and I feel the same way bro
@@ChristianHudnell Broette* ;) and my pleasure 🤙
rice
Jayson Asuit I do like my rice. Thanks! Appreciate the comment. Keep spreading positivity :)
Jayson Asuit xff
Jayson Asuit lmao ur ruining the car scene bro
I agree man rice asf
Yuuuup. Big time
I don’t care what anyone says bro your subie is really nice. And I like how you put the wing on.
SERGIO GARCIA thanks a lot bro really appreciate it man! Thank you
First wrx I’ve seen that I like with a lot of customization. Good job!
Thanks a lot, I appreciate the compliment and for watching the video
SubZeru Vlogs You have good taste and no problem. Just curious, what headlights are those? They are the only aftermarket headlights I like the looks of.
xxDuo appreciate it! I actually made a headlight video talking about everything that went into the lights. I can’t remember everything fully but it’s on there :)
SubZeru Vlogs Word, Ill check it out when I get a chance 🤙🏼
What about the Cold air intake? Shouldn’t void your warranty cause you can always put back the old intake and remap your car back to stage 0
Mace 1 Subaru dealers scan a card ECU to see if it’s been tampered with. You can always try doing a stage 1 tune on car but they can now see if it was previously tuned or not
Very nice. I'm missing my 09' rex now...😢 Keep up the good work ✌
Mister -_- McGill thanks! My friend has a 08 rally track Alex WRX. These are great and fun cars
Which fender flares are those? Great looking WRX btw 👍🏼
Thanks! HT AUTO FENDER FLARES
what rims specifications and tire specifications do you have? they look really nice.
Thanks they are vordoven forme 9 wheels and 285 30 18s all around
What is the width on your wheels? Did you have to cut a lot for them to fit perfectly? I’m about to do the flares myself and I’m worried about tire fitment/clearance??
Subaru’s are like a bob ross painting
You fix it up it’s perfect and then at the end you go to far and ruin it
Like stickers rope tow hook splitters on the rear spoiler
Basically if you cut back a little it will look so much better
Ohhhh that looks sick
Thanks so much!
Very good looking Subaru
Paul Saari thanks a lot man!
That WRX is sick, bro! Love the content
I have a 2011 Dark Grey Metallic WRX and I just got some matte bronze wheels!
Awesome! That is a really nice color combination
Jonathan Chavez I’ve thought about wrapping the car. Have a hook up on getting a wrap for car guy who did my vette! Can’t decide on color
GREAT LOOK! I have the same HT Auto flares. Did they cut or just bolt on? I will most likely just bolt-on.
Clean Wrx. Quick question, are you running wheels spacers? If so what size. Also is your fenders cut?
JFal hey man! Yeah running 10 spacers and fenders were cut and trimmed
Car looks badass.
tony Hern thanks man!
Wrx and sti diffarent markets for the love of the car. Wrx sexy car but comfy daily driver. Sti sexy car and performance. Love the subi man good work.
Agree and thank you I appreciate that a lot
Hey man awesome video and WRX. dude what catback exhaust is that?
Jefferson Isip thanks! Was a custom made 3 inch catback with 4 1/2 inch exhaust tips
Love it. Mine is the same color
Really cool! This is a really cool color
Getting mine the 14th I’m so excited
Congrats! That is awesome
nice vid bro, headlights look dope!
JakeLemons thanks a lot bro! Appreciate it
