      Thankfully it’s a bit outdated! Now I can’t guarantee anything after HallowFest is done (fright fest) but everything has been open, including Justice League, and things have been running more smoothly. Houdini is still closed. Regardless, next weekend should be a great choice, especially if it’s sunny!

      Great Adventure Guide I am contemplating going back as well because we missed several rides we wanted to do: both dark rides, Sky Screamer, Congo Rapids, Wonder Woman and a few other smaller rides like the mine train, which had to shut down for maintenance while we were there. But we mainly went for the big coasters and those definitely delivered!

      F A U G H T E X maybe have him watch some You Tube videos on the precautions they’ve taken. That’s how my son convinced me, lol. If you go on a Monday or Tuesday, the park should be near empty until late afternoon. That was our experience at least. Rides were either a walk on or a 5 min wait. The exception was Kingda Ka, which broke down right when we got into the station. We decided to wait it out, which ended up being a good decision. They had it up and running again in about 20 minutes.

      I went on a Monday in the beginning of August and the lines were actually kind of long. Most of the rides were a 20-30 minute wait. For the really popular ones, Wonder Woman in particular, that line stayed at 70 Minutes the entire day, as well with El Toro. Nitro stayed around 50 minutes the whole day but otherwise the lines were somewhat manageable. I recommend you download the app so you can check wait times when your in the park after 12:00 PM.

    • @GreatAdventureGuide
      @GreatAdventureGuide  4 года назад +1

      @@matthewfaltaous7300 Yeah, there have been some days like this and some days where every ride is a walk on. When you compare it to normal wait times in August, it still seems to be better than usual, with some exceptions at certain rides. The other draw back is the earlier closing time. The last couple of hours at the park were always my favorite with low waits and cooler temps, but that's not as much of a reality with the 7:00 close time...

    We had a great time on Monday despite the 93 degree temperatures! My 9 year old, who is my 5th and last child, was finally tall enough to ride all the rides. She was determined to ride Kingda Ka! 😳 So I told her we’d start “small” with Batman and see how she did. Well, she went on Batman, Nitro, Bizarro and El Toro without a glitch, so I let her come with us on Kingda Ka. She loved it!! It’s great that I can share my love of roller coasters with my kids, and they enjoy every second of it! 🎢

    • @shaynak745
      @shaynak745 4 года назад +1

      I will say in retrospect that she didn’t like El Toro or Green Lantern. They were too jarring for her. None of my kids liked Green Lantern! That was one I thankfully passed on. I remember years ago, GA had a stand up coaster which I didn’t like at all.

    • @GreatAdventureGuide
      @GreatAdventureGuide  4 года назад +2

      @@shaynak745 Yeah, I am not a fan of Green Lantern either... and I still say that El Toro is the most intense ride in the park, if you are towards the back. Yes, Kingda Ka's launch is insane, but El Toro gets me every time.

    • @shaynak745
      @shaynak745 4 года назад

      Julia_x not crazy at all. She’s very tall for her age and I made sure she fit properly in the test seat. I told her if she wanted to ride it, I’d have to see how she did with the less intense roller coasters first. Since she did fine on those and met all of the requirements to ride, I allowed her to do it. Safety is always my first priority, as it was with my other four kids when they were ready to ride roller coasters.

      I finally got to ride it today! One of the workers, who I think is higher up because he was wearing a grey polo, started to seat a different party in the seat next to me, like directly next to me, so I shot up and asked to just wait for the next ride. There ended up being a distanced spot on another car so I still got to ride that round, but I was dumbfounded that he wanted me to sit with a different group. And he was COMPLETELY aware that we were not together. I was tempted to get his name and report it, but I decided not to ruin his day.

      Great Adventure Guide watching your videos was very helpful in making my decision to take my kids! We went on Monday at 10:30 am. The park was basically empty so we were able to ride most of the major rides with a 5 minute wait. We used hand sanitizer after every ride, wore masks (which admittedly was difficult, as it was 93 degrees that day), and washed our hands often. The park seemed to get much busier after 4:00, and I assume this was because Hurricane Harbor closed at 4pm. I also saw many people in bathing suits to back this theory up. During that time, Six Flags employees were actively walking in gatherings of people and making anyone pull their mask up who didn’t have it on properly. In addition to this verbal instruction, there were other employees with signs to remind everyone to wear their masks. I feel that the employees did a great job overall. The only time I felt uncomfortable was while waiting for Superman. The line was long because it was towards the evening and many people were not social distancing or using their masks.
