I always start my day heading over to Nitro/Batman the ride before making my way to the other side of the park, then hitting Nitro again before leaving.
If you do Superman at rope drop you can get on kingda ka, green lantern, Zumanjaro, rl toro, and bizarro all really quickly, granted, you will need to wait a while for nitro, Batman, Wonder Woman and joker (sometimes) later on in the day. This has worked best for us whenever we go to sfgas
Tg I'm getting flashpass for great adventure so I don't have to worry about the lines as much! Definitely recommend this line up though. The lines get crazy long so these are definitely the best rides to hit first thing in the morning!
El Toros lines go significantly down as the day ends on specific days such as Thursdays, fridays or any week day. Kingda Kas lines can go down at 6 or 6:30. Depending if the park closes at 7. It can even lower earlier. Green Lantern due to its notorious stand up portion regularly gets lines and if it does it's either 10 or 15 minutes. Superman gets a line that's very long most of the day. An hour long. Justice league lines die down toward the end of the night, wonder women's (like superman) stays the same most of the day. Batman's line can get up to 30 minutes if you go on a Friday. Nitro is also a ride that gets an hour wait but decreases as the day progresses. Bizzaro never has a line at nighttime and if it does its toward the middle of the day which is probably 15 minutes. Mine train never has a line. Jersey devil will probably have the longest lines in summer of this year. Joker can get longer lines but it goes fast due to how short the ride is.
You're the 2nd person to warn about Kingda Ka shutting down a lot or not running. The other person said to go straight to it first if it's running because it could go out of service at any moment so you'd better ride it while you can.
I ended up rope dropping Wonder Woman and Batman the Ride (pretty much all the rides on the East side tbh). So glad I made that choice since later on the waits for WW became 45 minutes long
I personally don't like the rope drop El Toro, because it tends to run slow in the morning. I'd rather ride it an hour or so later when its all warmed up and the trains are full. Other coasters have less variability. I always rope drop Kingda Ka unless it has a delayed opening. On my most recent visit, the order I went in was Kingda Ka, Nitro, Batman, Jersey Devil, Green Lantern, Bizarro. I also rerode Nitro, Kingda Ka, and Bizarro.
I love to hit Superman or Batman first. I also love JLBfM, but I have to go on that AFTER Cyborg Cyber Spin because Six Flags' website says Cyborg is a training session preparing guests for JL. I like to follow the "story."
El Toro's long slow line would dispatch much quicker if they had placed the entry point on the side of the station (center platform) instead of in the front of it. Many people enter and want to hang around the front seat position and that clogs up the line from proceeding to other positions farther back. A side entry with signage pointing to the front seat position would have been more efficient for loading the station. It's just common sense.
Updated for you: Get to Jersey Devil first. Then Nitro. 3rd, hit the sky tram and swing over to El Toro. 4th, over to Kingda Ka. 5th, Bizzaro. Then head to Bat Man the ride and grab that last row for the best forces for that 5th thrill. 6th, Wonder Woman. 7th is Superman. 8th, Green Lantern. 9th goes to Justice League. And 10th, Joker.
I say hit Kingda Ka first, since that seems to go down ALOT. Then head around the corner to hit EL Toro for, hopefully, two back to back rides. Third would be back over to the other side of the park to Nitro. After Nitro, head over to Wonder Woman, Laso of Truth. After Wonder Woman, Bat Man the Ride. After Bat Man, Super Man: Ride of Steel. Of course, when it does open, Jersey Devil will be number ONE. Luckily, I have a Platinum Flash Pass because waiting in long lines for a ride is NOT optional for me. LOL.
Ever since I was a kid I would always ride nitro first so now everytime I go the first ride I HAVE to go on when I get to the park is nitro. Otherwise I’m scared of bad luck
I went to Six Flags great adventure like four years ago and I’m regretting not writing a bunch of the awesome roller coasters like Superman Green Lantern and all of them well I was only 8
i like el toro, & all rides in general don’t get me wrong, but something about feeling like i’m about to be decapitated scares me. idk why but no matter how much i go on el toro, i still duck my entire body the entire ride which makes the experience so bad for me. love the first drop tho
Guys I’m thinking of going to six flags for my first time and I’ve barely been in any roller coasters and these will be my first actually big roller coasters, I’m lowkey kinds scared, any good recommendations for my first ones at roller coasters?
Just ride Kingda Ka or El Toro first. Best to arrive at park 20 minutes before opening. Go hit up those rides first to avoid long lines. Honestly they are not gonna be too intense to the point where you can’t handle them. Superman Ultimate Flight is also a good first ride.
Nothing to worry about. Those computer systems that run the rides are just so picky that if one of their sensors is just the tiniest bit off, the ride won’t run. It’s because they’re so safe. I’m pretty sure that the wind can slow down the train enough that it won’t make it over the hill successfully. Thankfully the coaster is designed to roll back and come to a safe and complete stop before launching again if it ever doesn’t make it over the hill. One of my goals is to experience a roll back! That would be awesome.
I would also say to get on Superman first of it’s gonna be a busy day. The GP eat that thing up and it will have a 2+ hour wait for the whole day. I’d rather wait 2+ for el toro or nitro but for a Superman clone? Nah

Of course, for some the problem with riding Ka first, is riding Ka first. Doesn't leave much to build up to. Car -> Ka are you ready? ;)

El Toro is very, very intense. Ride Batman or Superman first. Batman is the least scariest ride in the park.
Can you even rope drop battle for metropolis? Six flags magic mountain doesn't open that ride till a few hours after opening

Trueee, but if u go straight to rl toro and kingda ka right after Superman, u should be able to walk onto those too
