The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
Join thrill-seekers at the mysterious Hollywood Tower Hotel for the ultimate adrenaline rush. For the longest 2 minutes of your life, rise and fall at terrifying speeds in the hotel's haunted elevator, again and again!
The Haunted Hotel
Cross the decrepit grounds of the once-elegant Hollywood Tower Hotel and wind your way into the abandoned lobby. Time has stood still since the night of October 31, 1939 when lightning mysteriously struck the tower, plunging 5 unfortunate elevator occupants into oblivion.
After passing through the dilapidated lobby, enter the creepy library, where the television plays a "lost" episode of The Twilight Zone. Rod Serling invites you to enter the elevator and discover the secret of the unfortunate 5's disappearance.

The Service Elevator
Continue to the sinister boiler room, where the hotel bellhops encourage you a bit too cheerfully to strap yourself into one of the seats in the rickety service elevator. Rise up floor after floor in darkness as the elevator occasionally stops to provide a ghastly glimpse of those who disappeared that frightful night. The elevator stops at a vestibule in front of a large, ornate mirror, in which you can catch your reflection as Rod Serling speaks:
"Wave goodbye to the real world!"
Touches from The Twilight Zone
Throughout the attraction, you can find props from episodes of the original version of television's classic series, The Twilight Zone. These include:
A pair of broken spectacles from "Time Enough at Last" - a near-sighted bookworm is the sole survivor of a devastating war.
The broken stopwatch from "A Kind of a Stopwatch" - this is the stopwatch that can actually stop time!
A toy telephone from the episode "Long Distance Call" - 5-year-old Billy Bayles uses his toy telephone to talk to his dead grandmother.
The electric razor from the episode "A Thing About Machines" - a man's razor rises up like a snake and pursues him.
An antique radio from the episode "Static" - an old radio tunes in programs from the past.

When my dad went on the ride, he thought it would take you through different levels, explaining what happened. So when we went up and down he thought the ride actually broke. Darn, I wish I could have caught it on camera because it was funny!

It was so funny because when the guy opened the door for us in the end, he was holding a disney balloon, smiling and said "welcome to the happiest place on earth" and me and every one else cracked up.

One time the cm moved during the preshow from the opposite side of the room to right behind me and my cousin. And when the lights came back on and they give the “move to the next line” speech. She yelled really loud (right behind us!) and we screamed. We heard her laughing as we we left.

Fun fact: when going down in the ride, your not actually just falling. your being pulled down the same way you where pulled up. It's actually faster then gravity!

I rode this yesterday. There was a little kid infront of me. Right before we fell, I leaned forward and said: "666". He was horrified af.

In my opinion the worst part is when you stop going up and are about to go down. That feeling is the purest form of fear

Awesome ride! This and the Rock n Roller coaster next door are more intense than most Disney attractions. Still makes me anxious but I always go back for more.
Today I was there, and when the drop was going to start a teen yelled " ready to Die? " an I said and I oop- and than after the drops the teen said we are so lucky we survived! I started to laugh...
When I was about 10 or 11, I went to Disney World for the first time. Our family decided to go on the tower of terror. When the video at the start of the ride started playing, this grown man started screaming, and he continued through the whole entire ride, even when we weren't going down. At first we thought he was joking, but we noticed he was very scared. I have no idea what kind of man goes on a ride like that if he's terrified of it, because that is some idiotic behavior.

I went on this ride yesterday and I loved it!! I didn't expect it to go up a level then drop you and opens the door and you watch something, then it drops you again (I think lol) and then takes you to the top and the door opens and you see outside, then it drops you one level and it's bouncing a little bit then fully drops you and you think it's over but then it takes you back up to the top and drops you again!!! Omg I just loved this ride hahaha
When i go to this ride,i Say to my sister :

I rode this 1 year ago and the whole time a 4 year old kid was screaming his guts out. After I had to tell him that it was all fake and none of it was real. Then he yelled at his dad for bringing him on the ride XD
My parents rode this and there was this little girl who was literally just sitting there while her parents were screaming. She was only about 4 or 5

When they updated this, they did a GREAT job with making the letters lower and farther apart. SO creepy!!
I'm 13 years old & this was my favourite and first big ride I've ever been on its not as scary as it looks but I do like rides but yet to go on some big roller coasters
Man my brother hated this ride so much that he’ll never set foot on this ride ever again and permanently, not even once.
I don't know what is about that opening pre-show that can give me the chills. But it have might something to do with how well Disney executed archived scenes of Rod Serling.

I really hope Disneyland doesn't get rid of this. There's a rumor floating around that it'll be replaced by a "Guardians of the Galaxy" ride.

I rode this when I was in third grade, and I didn’t think it was going to be that scary, but I screamed the whole entire time! And I had to wait in line for an hour, I think it was worth it though

After getting off this ride my legs were shaking. More fear than fun. But still had fun.
I loved this ride so much! I went on it about a week ago and it was amazing. I loved the part when it throws you up but it doesn’t reach the top so you experience Zero-G as you fly upwards and the gravity naturally pulls you back down again all in a matter of seconds
Btw the moment I am explaining is 3:05 .Looking carefully you see it throws you up and you get pulled back down
I didn't have the chance get a FastPass for The Tower of Terror, but it definitely worths the wait! Hollywood Studios main attraction, you have to do it when you visit that park in Florida!
I remember going on this when I was eight it was so funny because I kept kicking and holding on to my mom :D

This is one ride that from the first drop to the sound of the bucket hitting the ground at the end I cannot keep from laughing. Grand ride. Shame it will be remade into something else.

Its weird b/c every time the thing go's up and down there's bits of Night Vision you could see a girl on the Right but when its not Night Vision it has a old Grandpa
I can tell its Disneyland because I do not go to Disneyland and I go to Disneyworld every year. But, it still looks fun. I can see a couple of differences, but none so bad that it wouldn't make it fun still. The fact that they have you tied down to an elevator like contraption and simply free falling and simply catching you freaks me out all by itself. The background simply puts your mind in a different place while you are being dropped. I also enjoy the fact that it is different. I think it would be rather boring if they did not change the theme from Disneyland and Disneyworld. Besides that, they made Disneyworld so that it was more magical using visuals. Disneyland seems more like a theme park to me. But, that is just me. Either way Disney ROCKS!
This year I went and a girl on the ride asked the man to only pressed the button once. He replied “ Don’t worry, I will.” He then laughed with the most evil smile and everyone laughed.
I went on this in California when I was 7 when the mirror showed up I was sitting in the front with my dad, I started making funny faces and my dad joined in everybody looked at us as if we were crazy XD
Everybody gets out in panic hahaha.
When I Entered I Sat In The Very Back Corner Seat, The Lady That Was At The Elevator Door Said 'I Hope You Made The Right Choice, Because There Is No Going Back.' Right There I Knew I Screwed Up. 😂

When I went on it, my little brother almost flew out because he was so skinny that the belt couldn’t hold him in but my dad put his hand over him and saved him. Also, my dad’s hat flew but a girl behind us catches it an gave it back to him. I went out of the ride crying.

When I went on the ride I was in the front seat and I was only 10! When we got to the bit where you can look out at the rest of the park I waved for some reason, so when it dropped my hand was stuck in midair XD

Falling on this ride is one of the best feelings ever. Its like butterflies in your stomach and you’re screaming your head off as you dip into the darkness, your hair and body defying and being faster than gravity itself...Its amazing.
I totally screamed my head off when I went on the Hollywood Tower Hotel. XD my mouth went the shape of a kawaii potato - but screamed.
This is how scared I was... I've never heard of this ride, didn't know what kind of ride it was... When the elevator opened (didn't even realize it was an elevator) all I thought was "where's the track?" Thinking we were going to go outside (stupid I know) when it dropped I thought it broke and I freaked out.. it was so fun and funny when I got off,I laughed for hours.
HAHAHAHAHHA everyone fights for that MIDDLE SEAT WITH NO FRONT CHAIR. I love this ride so much. Even before getting on the elevator it's just lovely walking in the hotel and seeing the design and architecture and music 💕
Been on that in Paris! But OMG, the thrill of the drop was so hard, without knowing it, I scratched my dad's arm so much it bled, but I enjoyed it and will definitely go back! That was 3 years ago when I was 9! I'm maybe going back sometime in 2017. And I'll be thirteen and more prepared! There was a 4 year old in front of me who didn't scream once and said, 'shut it lady!'

Really? Are you telling the truth because it is one of their biggest attractions? Why?
They're going to replace it with guardians of the galaxy in January, and will change the theme from "scary" to "kids friendly".
