I feel Pricilla on a personal level. I hate these kind of rides but I just had to go on it. Love the guardians and this ride was super fun and entertaining!!
Kaylee G this was the ride that made me get over my fears of rides. I almost fainted in line and when the ride was over, I had some much adrenaline I was so pumped!
Artist A Lmfao I’m sorry. My boyfriend took me to Disneyland and I went on it for the first time earlier this month. My arms were up and there was so much screaming but the best kind of screams. My body felt so weird and light but that’s my all time favorite ride. I love it so much. We went on it twice. Wish it could have been more but we had more to do. 😭😭 And I use to be so afraid of these kinds of rides and roller coasters. But my friend pushed me to get on one while also telling me that we don’t have to and I just went for it. I nearly cried and kept wanting to get off. I was screaming help and to stop the ride but the second I got off the ride, I fell in love and went to ride much much bigger rides. XD I still get scared. Roller coasters where my legs are dangling and this one at Knott’s really scare me. I get on them but I pray before getting on and when I’m on them. Even though I’m not religious. 😭😭
I feel really bad for this lady, I know exactly how she feels, I hate ridding tower, and this ride was cool I rode it tonight, but I was literally not okay in the ride, there were way more drops and it was way too intense for me. Loved the music & effects but it was too much. If you don't like drops, please know that this is way more intense then tower of terror with more drops.
With the new Guardians Make they made the ride ALOT more Harsh with the lifts and drops! I rode it on Tuesday and felt like my Brain was going to pop out of the top of my Head with the new g Force that it does!
Kiliki U my parents and my sister went on it, and let's just say they won't be going on It again. It was fun, but even I got scared since this was my first time on a drop ride.
I don’t like the drop feeling that much either, but I love this ride and there are tricks you can use to make it less intense. When I go on a roller coaster/any ride with drops, I sit up straight/“stand up” a little in my seat, and suck in my stomach. I don’t know why but it makes it a lot easier:)
Congratulations on conquering your fears! Two of my friends went on it despite being afraid of drop rides and know exactly how you feel. It's a huge accomplishment that you pulled off and you should be very proud of yourself.
Everytime my husband and I go on this ride I do hands up the WHOLE time. The feeling that you're falling is incredible. And knowing just how many safety precautions they have on that ride helps a lot for peace of mind.
For anyone that’s scared of getting on this ride. Tip: DO NOT hold on to the handles. It tenses your body up and makes the stomach drop feeling way way worse. It also glues you to the seat and makes you fall harder. If you’re going with someone. Have them hold your hands in the air. It’s so much easier!
Great point. I made that exact mistake back when I rode Twilight Zone Tower of Terror as a kid in WDW. I was fighting the drops so much that it made me feel even sicker afterwards. The whole point of these types of attractions is to loosen up and float off your seat anyway!
Wow that's amazeing. I also have higher functioning anxiety and I hated that ride when it was tower of terror hotel. I applaud her it's very difficult for us to enjoy a ride like this. I hate the feeling of falling. I will not be going on this ride but congrats to the girl.
I literally cried before I got on this ride and I ducked my head into my friends chest the entire time 😭😂 I got on it a second time tho and I was able to keep my eyes open but I still laid low while holding onto my friends hand.
Yesenia Gomez Esparza same here I was crying and dug my head into my husband arm and even bit him ... my anxiety was everywhere 😭😂 I got to a point I couldn’t even scream !
I was the same exact way when I tried it for the first time. I literally was crying and screaming. I don’t even remember the music or barely anything. I squeezed my eyes shut. Not fun. Looking back, the ride and the sensations of falling and being shot up were fine. My nerves were off the charts and I freaked out. But I lived!
Omg I thought I was the only one that was this terrified of rides like this...but I see that not only the lady in the video is also but most of the people in the comment section has this same fear too....I went to Universal Studios two weeks ago and Disneys California Adventure just a few days ago.... and my husband try's to help me but I just get SOOOO scared......I a very quite person but on the rides to I'm terrified on I'm probably the loudest person on the planet.....
WHOOT! You clearly have some true courage to try things you know aren't easy for you, as well as a fabulous supportive friend-guy there! (I personally can't do horror films or insane roller coasters). In this case the random screams just added to the fun of the ride. This ride looks very cool tho, if I ever could get to Disney.
My family and I got into this ride by complete accident. We had no idea what we were getting into until a guy told us just before entering the room. I almost wish he wouldn't have told us because we had a slight warning beforehand. It was the scariest most hilarious ride. I definitely loved it and hated it. I would have never gone on if I had known.
When I rode this for the first time, I genuinely prayed that it would end and kept screaming "No more" from how terrified I was. Would ride again though, it was really fun 😭
I went to Disney for the first time in December and when I saw how tall this tower was I knew instantly that I wasn’t going anywhere near that entrance 😂😭
This is an old video but I had the same reaction when it was tower of terror but probably wasn’t as fun since the entire theme was TERROR. And man was I terrified! I was like this too on splash mountain, I went the other day for my birthday and practically had a panic attack on the way up to the last drop haha. Picture was priceless. Still haven’t worked up the courage for guardians yet, still working my way up for incredicoaster (:
Well done Priscilla! Rides like this need a cut the power and stop the drops button when someone screams they're done. I feel so sorry for Priscilla and I hope that she was able to recover from this "ride" experience. In my opinion they need to warn the guests just how extreme the ride will be so those with anxiety have a chance to bug out before being subjected to something they're not comfortable with. Congrats on seeing it through and at leas you can say you gave it a go. I feel the drop sensation when going down a lift let alone a drop ride so I'd stay well clear of that gut lurcher. :/
I too think that Disney has been extremely negligent from the point of view of informed consent. The ride is mostly concealed, so potential riders might not realise exactly what they're letting themselves in for. If I were responsible in any way for this ride (I would never go on these as negative Gs are very uncomfortable) I would state that it is an Extreme Ride and what the G forces are. I would also show recommended alternative drop rides that produce less negative Gs, so that riders can acclimatise first. I too think that there is a moral obligation to check on the wellbeing of the riders and interrupt the drops if a rider is clearly distressed. It's easily possible, because it's literally an oversized elevator motor by Otis. It's not an air or hydraulic system that would be dangerous to interrupt and would present a hazard to try and allow guests off. I think that a distress red mushroom button should be added at every seat.
I would also not be encouraging Priscilla to have gone on this ride. Instead, drop rides with lesser acceleration are required. There need to be multiple increments of force available, so that riders are not overwhelmed when they advance from one step to another. Theme parks are continuing to fail some potential enthusiasts by not providing the means to acclimatise.
I never get over my fear of drops. I tried getting over it by going on splash mountain with my friend in fifth grade but it still didn't take off. It got worse. I get major anxiety in rides that I get panic attacks in small rides with SMALL drops. Next week I'm going to be forced to go on the Incredicoaster by my siblings and I'm hella scared.
We just made this mistake today 😂 had no idea how intense it would be. She wasn’t going to cry until some lady asked her how she was and she let it all out 😂 I still feel guilty 😂
On the July 5th, me and my family went on the ride. We waited 75 minutes to board the ride. At first, it was fine even with me going up. But in God’s literal green screen jellybeans on the clean floor with the mom I’m a leaning bean, the drop shocked me to my head all the way down to my feet. This was my first time here, and I didn’t expect for the drop to include the feeling that you are literally floating onto the ride and you can’t even trust your seatbelt, it just holds you down so you can land back to your seat once it stops or launches us up into the big view of the Disneyland California. It was my lifelong dream to ride this, and I am still happy and proud about achieving this goal, yet the floating part makes me feel like I’m in the void or when you try to sleep but at the last second it feels like a drop. I know some parts about the ride before I even rode it. The ride used to be another ride, it was called the Tower Of Terror. It was named that because of the show the Twilight Zone. Here is something my family told me after the ride, when we were in the Gift Shop after the ride, my family’s reactions were: My dad closed his eyes for most of the ride, my mom is unknown, my little brother felt like he was floating to heaven, everyone else screamed at the top of their lungs, and I was holding my scream. Here is one thing I learned: Now I Know why people always scream is because of the floating part. I already know about the speed before though so I don’t have to worry about that. I might probably add more onto this comment, but thanks for reading it! 😁
I feel you Priscilla. I was screaming about the same level when i finally took the chance to ride this ride for my 50th birthday. I could barely walk after.
I reacted the exact opposite of her my first time I rode this, i smiled the whole time and did not scream(I was 11 at the time) however when I rode it a second time when I was 12 I almost sh*t my self.
I love GOTG went to Disneyland a couple months ago . I told my self I needed to do this atleast once !!! I can safely say I will never be doing it again lol
She is so brave she did a what other people like me can't do. I myself can't get on rides. I freak out, anxiety kicks in and I ruin it for the people I'm with. I wish I could enjoy the rides. Sucks going to six flags, knots, etc. and just sit on the benches while your family and friends have a good time. Why do I even go? Because I am stuck on stupid that one day I will say "fuck it" and be brave enough to get on a ride.
Don't worry, I'm like you but one day we'll be able to go in. I really hate the fact that when I went to the tower drop thing at disneyland (when I was in 1st grade) I cried so much. My mom, me, my mom's friend, and my mom's friend daughter went there not knowing what the ride is. I never wanted to go back ever again.
It’s really not that bad. It never takes you to the top and drops to the bottom. It’s a bunch of smaller instant drops. Only time you feel like you’re falling long is when it shoots you up and you get that weightlessness before falling a couple floors. I’d say use this one as a crutch before doing drop of doom or supreme scream. Great job on facing your fear ! Respect! 👊🏼
I did Supreme Scream before this and I thought it was easy. I was still scared of Guardians though but when I went on it I thought it was super easy haha.
I felt like my brain was going to come up through my head lol :) What a G Force!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MAJOR IMPROVEMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was truly freaked out and was shaking for a good 2 hours after I rode it!!!
hahahaha.... I honestly can not blame her. OMG, my heart will be racing too. Kudos for her giving it a try and facing her fears head on. 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Every time an anchor person has to ride Guardians of the Galaxy at DCA, of course it’s the scaredy cat of the group gets picked to ride that ride. I wasn’t laughing at all. In fact I pitied Priscilla for being terrified & screaming her lungs out on national TV. However, I salute her for she’s a trooper & great sport about being on that (as I call it) “Aw Hell No!”, ride for me.
I have a love and hate relationship with this ride. I was truly terrified while being on this ride especially the feeling I had when it dropped it was honestly scary and I definitely won't go again.
Next time i go, I'm gonna try and get on. But who knows, The line wait time is normally over 70 minutes. I like how they made like 4 different types of drops, So its random every time and you can go on it multiple times and it wont be boring every time you go on it again!
I wasnt scared tbh, incredicoaster is MUCH faster, (by 20 mph) And i absolutely loved all the effects. I also loved how every ride is a different one too.
I'm 50 years old and I've never ridden a drop ride. I rode this. I laughed the entire time. It helped not really being able to see how high up we were but I just laughed and laughed at every drop. LOL
Great job! You got it done 👍🏼 I got on this ride not knowing what I was getting myself into, I was so happy when it was finally over. Idk if I have the courage to ever get on again lol
OMG That was literally me. I was crying and screaming lol. By about 1/2 way through the ride my right leg started violently shaking all by itself and didn't stop until a few minutes after I finally got off the ride. lol.
idk what it is about this drop ride but i swear they add an extra 20,000 lbs it drops so much faster and feels so much heavier than other drop rides ive been on. im normally fine with these rides but this one actually made me hyperventilate at the end.....it was awesome.
i’ve just been to disney and on this ride for the very first time just 3 days ago and my stomach is still flipping. also, heights are my biggest fear and i don’t know how i even said yes to getting on this death trap of a ride. that being said, i can’t wait to go again 🥴😅
my mom is the exact same way tord rides lol she freaks out that reminds me of her she never road rides she rode them when she was younger but she quit because she is so scard of them and she reminds me of her lol
Sadly my Disney doesn’t have it, they still have tower of terror😭😭😭
When I was on it I giggled the whole way
Same. I have a low to moderate tolerance of roller coasters but the drops always get me especially with this ride.
Bro tower of terror was worse for me lol my soul left my body
My soul left my body when i tried this
ME TOO 9 TIMES IN A ROW TO BE EXACT LMFAO
I was gone bruh. I have to do it again tomorrow tho
Bro same I feel you I’m soulless right now

Luna Miles It's all randomized now. So it could be possible that you had more drops then others
Thegamerfromafar it depends on what song you get, that determines how many drops you get

I was lucky enough to sit in the back right corner..its gotta walled handle bar but still it was scary..i had my eyes closed the hole time.
Thanks for the tip! I’m planning on riding it for the first time soon!
my wife does the exact same thing. she says it works for her. Makes it worse for me so I just hold on since it makes me feel more secure.
SAME
It’s because the drop feeling is actually your organs moving, so when you suck in it keeps them in place.
I wish I could do this, but I HATE drop rides. I hate that feeling you get in your stomach and back when you drop. I can't even go on Splash Mountain.
same
xSonicSeedrian I can't change your mind but you should try this at least once (that's what I did) then never get on it again
M4DH4TT3R FTW I'm going to Disney in July, and I might do this.
xSonicSeedrian well good luck dude
xSonicSeedrian I hate the seat belt

I was praying and tryna thing of sum 41 song and I now have a ptsd from mission breakout, GREAT.
When Priscilla started crying at the very beginning where they back up into the drop shaft, that was me whenever I tried to ride The Tower Of Terror.
lmfao she was mad at that last drop
I think I reacted the same way the first time I went on this ride 😂
I was sitting on my bed and when I saw this for some reason I actually felt the ride movements🫢🫢🫢

I went on this ride and I LOVED it!! Guess I have bragging rights now.
You handled that like a boss tho! It's hard NOT to get that anxious for a ride w drops and only a lap belt. And that was really good support.
Good job girl this is such an intense ride.Thats awsome you faced your fears🙂

why couldn't this ride take place in space instead of an elevator?
A SCARY elevator!
RIP Tower Of Terror
It does. It’s a gantry lift not an elevator 😂
I can totally relate. I simply can not do rides like this.
I unknowingly took my 4 y/o daughter to this last week because she was tall enough and she didn't cry, she just said "I don't like it." 😂

As long as you take deep breathes on this ride you will be fine. First time I went on it I felt like I was floating and I enjoyed it.
I feel you Priscilla. I was screaming about the same level when i finally took the chance to ride this ride for my 50th birthday. I could barely walk after.
Is it weird that I enjoy these drop rides but not super high roller coaster rides? The sensation in my stomach isn't that bad on these types of rides.
I know the attention is on Priscilla but I was just looking at the guy with the pig tails hahaahahha😂😂
I kinda hate drop rides but I always get on them 🤷♀️ it feels so weird the first time I was 7 and on the tower of terror its intense for me
keep in mind she had the lights on. Usually The drops are in pitch black darkness. You feel like you are descending straight to hell!
THIS RIDE IS THE BEST ONE THERE ME AND MY MOM LOVE IT SMMM

I did Supreme Scream before this and I thought it was easy. I was still scared of Guardians though but when I went on it I thought it was super easy haha.
Oh wow I did not know this, I thought it was a full drop of all those stories, I’ll try to remember this when I ride it so I don’t freak out lol
I felt like my brain was going to come up through my head lol :) What a G Force!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MAJOR IMPROVEMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was truly freaked out and was shaking for a good 2 hours after I rode it!!!
I went on this ride at Disneyland and I was so scared.
this ride makes me feel like i just went down and my stomach got left way up there 😃
Omg I did this……! I WAS 8 and I loved it! ❤ One of my fave rides
I’m not sure but this seems rather cruel. Like she clearly didn’t want to be there and I question if she was forced into it.
hahahaha.... I honestly can not blame her. OMG, my heart will be racing too. Kudos for her giving it a try and facing her fears head on. 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Girl, you're a braver soul than I am!
I almost poop my pants when I rode it haha
I'm 10 and I went on that ride today.... I FLIPPEN LOVE IT
The first time I ride this I got scared The second time I freaking loved it 😄😄😄
Every time an anchor person has to ride Guardians of the Galaxy at DCA, of course it’s the scaredy cat of the group gets picked to ride that ride.
I tried this ride today. & i will never ride again! This ride is crazy… my soul was left at this ride
Bro, in the blue shirt must be a pilot or something! There's no way anyone could handle this ride so good!
I finally re-rode on this ride last night and let me tell you that ride is scary!!!
I'm TERRIFIED of roller coasters and I WANNA RIDE THIS SO BAD! XD
same. Slash mountain was intense, but I managed. I was glad I went on it tho.
Mauricio Vasquez
I feel that but this kinda looks fun!!! And I wanna ride it... but I’m also scared....
Mauricio Vasquez it’s awsome
My 5 year old goes on this lol it’s not scary
Sarian Chairez my 5 year old brother loves it to lol
I wasnt scared tbh, incredicoaster is MUCH faster, (by 20 mph)
And i absolutely loved all the effects. I also loved how every ride is a different one too.
To me the ride is just pure fun and I love it
I miss the tower of terror! This ride was so much fun though perfect music!!
I'm 50 years old and I've never ridden a drop ride. I rode this. I laughed the entire time. It helped not really being able to see how high up we were but I just laughed and laughed at every drop. LOL
😂😂😂😂😂 Me and my 3 yr old rode this last night and he loved it!
She did great! Go girl! Now I want to try it lol
Great job! You got it done 👍🏼 I got on this ride not knowing what I was getting myself into, I was so happy when it was finally over. Idk if I have the courage to ever get on again lol
I did that ride and I was on the exact spot Pricalla was at! That ride was so scary for me.
Omg i was dying it feels so bad my 4 year old get on it and i just couldnt believe she get on it good job prisilla
Tip: try do a sleeping pose while doing the ride, one, it makes all the drops seem small, two, it makes for a fun picture
OMG That was literally me. I was crying and screaming lol. By about 1/2 way through the ride my right leg started violently shaking all by itself and didn't stop until a few minutes after I finally got off the ride. lol.
I felt the same way! except i didnt know there was handles on the side to hold on to...
This is literally me but I still love it
idk what it is about this drop ride but i swear they add an extra 20,000 lbs it drops so much faster and feels so much heavier than other drop rides ive been on. im normally fine with these rides but this one actually made me hyperventilate at the end.....it was awesome.
Mission Breakout includes more drops and is a bit faster than the original Tower of Terror
I wouldn't be able to do it. Good Job!
I feel the same way
And the fact that my 4 year old cousin goes on this ride and isn’t scared
i’ve just been to disney and on this ride for the very first time just 3 days ago and my stomach is still flipping. also, heights are my biggest fear and i don’t know how i even said yes to getting on this death trap of a ride. that being said, i can’t wait to go again 🥴😅
I did this ride two nights ago and i never do scary rides and this was rough lol 😩 i cried and hated it but i can at least say i did it lol
my mom is the exact same way tord rides lol she freaks out that reminds me of her she never road rides she rode them when she was younger but she quit because she is so scard of them and she reminds me of her lol
I was laughing too hard. That was me on this ride. I tried to tap out mid ride 😆. “That’s it, that’s it” - tf!
no that is not it !
I'm terrified of this ride I've ridden it before and it is absolutely terrifying!
I couldn't stop thinking about my stomach falling for days afterwards.
