This is the most imaginative and innovative refurbishment of a ride, ever. And it fleshed out the Star Wars universe so extensively. Disney did great on this.
+Mike Hitchcock Yep. My thoughts exactly when I rode it. To be honest, when I found out they changed it, I was like [what did they do to my ride. I used to be a Cast Member and Star Tours was my main ride in the early 2000s]
+Mike Hitchcock I was on the newest version. They added characters from the force awakens (BB-8 and Finn) and fucked up the canon by still including Darth Vader.
Molly Flora I just visited Disneyland Paris and I went on the ride twice. First time was great but the second time I had two girls behind me screaming at the top of their lungs right into my ears. My eyes loved the ride... can’t say the same about my ears...
I got picked once as a rebel spy but being a Star Wars gamer I just said out loud. Not again... my friends were laughing to hard at this. Was my first time on the ride to 🤣
You know what, as a HARDCORE Stat Wars fan I was disdainful at first then when I realized this ride made me a canonical rebel in the universe, with an accurate timeline, with 3P0 and R2 assisting my escape. Makes me cry tears of joy I have t felt since rising Star Tours the very first time.
Just went last week and this was hands down my favorite ride! I usually hate 3D motion rides but I love Star Wars and just had to do it, ended up riding twice lol. It's just so realistic
I don't know why, but for some reason, I feel differently about Star Tours than I feel about any other simulator ride. Something about it just really, works for me
I get that feeling when I'm at WDW and am at Magic Kingdom on the last day of my vacation until that "park closing" announcement goes over the loud speakers.....it is never "happy" for me then.
If you keep your glasses off until the ride starts it might pick you as the spy and put you on the screen while the ride is going! My family did it and it picked my mom!
Yea, the staff pick the spy by the seat they are in or if they think you are doing a good job listening to what it says for safety. Once this staff was being nice to me and I was the spy, it was awesome :D
It depends, there are at least eight seats that is capable of having you the spy. One of them is the front row and the second to the last seat. I'm not exactly sure how it works though, that's just part of how they do it :P
Honestly, when I went there 9 years ago, I went on this ride 5 times. I love Star Wars and being THAT close to C-3PO and Darth Vader was an amazing sight
I did this ride 11 times last year (in one morning) the simulator is incredible, going up, down, right, left the sensation of the speed, the 3d glasses, wow is super, there are about 50 cinematic scenes and every time you ride it, the cinematic combinations are different.
The Sarlacc Truer words were never spoken, honestly the Star Tours ride will always have a particular smell, feel, and vibe to it even after it changed it’s still the same
Star Tours, Mission:Space, and Soarin' are the 3 best rides at Disney World, especially for adults. They use 3D, large screens, interaction, smells, and stuff you feel to make them so realistic and intense.
Wow, this is so well made. Think about the time and effort but into this. By the way, I'm loving the atmosphere inside of the "space-ship". Everyone is just shouting and having a good time!
I remember riding the old one when I was younger was the best ride ever! Particularly for a young star wars geek :D can't wait, going to florida in 4 days, going to ride this as often as possible!!
I could be a star wars purist right now and complain about the continuity issues and how we went into the past some how but I love this ride so much it is part of my childhood I have fond memories of the older version I love this ride so much and it will always be a part of my childhood
You know, all my life I enjoyed this ride more than the other ones. Star Tours will hold a very special place in my heart! 😌 Even though I haven't been on that ride for quite a long time...I always considered this as my childhood favorite as it still does for my adulthood. It would be a special moment for me...and my sister...to go on that ride!
This year was second time in Disney.. Star Tours was definitely my favorite ride and overall experience. It's just awesome. The first time we went it was late on a weekday in March in 2012..we went on the ride 3 times back to back! Was awesome. With the new movie hype.. This ride is now packed. Get your fast pass.
He just fakes a Kiwi accent instead of getting an actual Kiwi to voice him. Like I do with Swayzak. (Swayzak is a Toonami character who was voiced by a Kiwi in the online game tied to Trapped in Hyperspace.)
@@YuukiTakemoto1996 I imagine they couldn't get Temuera Morrison to reprise his role, so they settled for Dee Bradley Baker since he already voiced the clones in The Clone Wars 2008 movie and TV show.
To Star productions. Thanks for posting this video!!! This ride is much better than other older one. they really kicked it up about 100 notches. I was screaming too. You can't help but scream,it's so fast! To say it feels real is an understatement.. When you ride, you ARE in a star ship!
Oh my gosh what a awesome ride, so fun! When I went I had a blast! So this ride is a simulator. If your not sure what that is it is basically a ride where you stay in the same place but move back and forth rocking. They take you kind of through the movie on the screen. This ride was fun😊😊😊
Goddamn Star Tours.... They straight-up infiltrate the Death Star, fight Boba Fett, and engage Darth Vader... AND LIVE. How the hell did that shuttle survive any of that shit with the minimal shielding and weapons it had (in universe)? I will say that I miss the OG captain of the ship though.
Me,my brother, and our dad rode this 8 times in a row!It never gets old!even though I'm not a Star Wars fan this is on my favorite rides at Hollywood studios!
They have, unfortunately it completely overtakes the first half of the ride so the only thing that can be different is the second half. You can't get Hoth anymore 😭
i was picked as the rebel spy when i went on this during my senior trip. i had no knowledge of star wars and felt super attacked but i was cracking up the whole time
I love this ride so much, because I mentioned about it in my autobiography project that I did in elementary school back in the 5th Grade. May the force be with you. My parents, yours truly and possibly her Plus One (e.g. coworker I know well from a commercial real estate company that I work at for 4⃣days a week for 2⃣1/2 hours a day) haven't been to Disney World's Hollywood Studios before, but it never hurts to watch a video clip of Star Tours 2⃣: The Adventures Continue during the COVID-19 pandemic these days.
true the original was fun I always rode it I miss the really short lines but this one does create a different experience everytime which is fun I must admit
keegan rupnik No The First Death Star was indeed destroyed by Luke Skywalker (Red 5 T-65B X-wing Starfighter) Red Leader's name is not unknown, it is Garvien Dreis (Red One T-65B X-wing Starfighter).
I remember when I was chosen as the rebel spy with my picture displayed on the screen . It was definitely my Disney moment.there was kid asking me what I done to anger Darth Vader. Was a cool ride.
I brought my friends Jamal and Zoe here once.. Jamal was picked as the rebel spy, and he was the only black person in the room at the time. He shrugged, turned to me, and said "Anikkah, they probably picked me because I'm black, they want some of this dark side, if you know what I mean..." I don't think Zoe or I have ever laughed so hard in our entire lives.
After riding Star Tours recently (and getting this ride through scenes minus Yoda, got Akbar instead) I'm glad that I still had a fun time. Yes, Galaxy's Edge and Rise give a more high-tech, all-encompassing Star Wars experience and is part of its own land, but Star Tours still has a great level of theming of its own. It's equal parts Disney and Star Wars and riding it in the back seats even gave me a level of thrill and movement that I was happy to find still holds up when compared to the newer rides.
I started crying at that part when I last went on the ride. Everyone in the Starspeeder actually turned round and asked me, "Are you okay?" I was like, "I'M GONNA MISS YOU, BOBAAAAA!!"
This is the most imaginative and innovative refurbishment of a ride, ever. And it fleshed out the Star Wars universe so extensively. Disney did great on this.

I love that ride

This is so advanced compared to the original ride when i was a kid. I only wish the loud people behind the camera would shut their loud yaps LOL

Danbo 22 I did
This ride is absolutely incredible and it has so many different outcomes and is not always the same.

found it hilarious that my father was the rebel spy when we rode this
