My only problem that’s making me reluctant to buy another xs power is my d5100 had a cell go out, they told me it didn’t sound like a dead cell even though it is literally missing 2 volts and was causing my amp to cut out under load. Then they took weeks to respond. And after over a month of waiting they finally sent an email saying that the best they could do was $70 off for a replacement. So my first impressions are a little tainted.
Quick tip, the first 2 numbers after the D is the group number of the battery. If your vehicle uses a group 34R battery, you want a D3400R, if your vehicle uses a group 51, you want a D5100
I have a 2016 Honda CR-V with a D5100 under the hood and two D3100's in the spare tire well.
Finding an alternator has been a pain tho. Mechman doesn't make one for it

Hit up Js alternators. They make custom alternators and they did a great job for my 98 Lexus gs400, they use oem denso rotors and they use copper rectifiers

I have a s14 nissan 240sx and just installed one of your batteries it's a D1200 and iam running a DC POWER alternator works pretty good so far. Before I was running a optima yellow top d34/78 and even when the car was running with the DC POWER alternator it was only putting out 13 amps now it's pushing 14 to 14.1

I recently purchased a D4900 for my Main and a D4700 for Auxillary for my 2013 Camaro SS. I'm running a Wolfram 3K monoblock to 2 Wolfram AG-12s, a Wolfram W-125 4channel to 4 Kicker 150w 6x9s and 2 Cerwin Vega 6" component speakers, with 320 AMP HO alternator from US Alternators. WOW!!! Huge difference. Had no idea something as simple as a battery swap could make my system so much louder. Actually scared me a little haha.

you can use these as main battery? Bought a XS Power XP950 XP Series from amazon for my system and as offline bank for small current for charging phone etc, but if I can replace my AMG under hood (2018 ecosport) then I will search which one will fit

@@baileybasshead8762 yes the D7500 is for the stereo system alone and then the regular AGM Interstate is for the car itself, I have them separated by a PAC 500 amp solenoid so they don't draw off of each other
Didn't know interstate made AGMs? Yeah, I figured it was a secondary battery, those 7500s are too big to fit under any hood. But on 7k I figured you'd need more than that, at least like 2 of those plus your main battery? Is your voltage stable with demos@ idle? Yeah, I had that PAC 500, got it from sonic electronix for like $35 on a flash sale. Also picked up a Stinger 240 diode isolator for like $85, now they're close to $150...

Dude I love my D3400R XS Power battery until let Advance Auto Parts charge it for me. I checked in after a week of charging, and it was still being charged. They said that they would call when it was ready but, that call never came. About 3 weeks later I went in to see where it was, THEY RECYCLED MY BATTERY!!!!! It had the 2 posts +/- accessory on it too, which brought my total cost to $480 !!! I was/am furious. The only thing that they did to "make it right" was to offer me of $100 battery that has less than 1/3 the capacity my D3400R XS Power battery has. UGH! So unbelievably frustrating!

They are great batteries JP!!! The only problem is when you have a sound system that calls for two or more batteries in the rear of your car, you start to have a weight issue!!! You notice that weight issue when your vehicles gas mileage and performance is affected by the extra weight that your carrying around!!! Other than that they are great batteries to use!!! Great video JP!!! By the way JP, now that your advertising XS POWER batteries, are you currently running a big sale on them??? @@RHunther I had a 275a Singer alt so I didn't bother to charge. Besides it was resting at 14.2.
It just died this fall and I bought it in Spring of 2016 April if I remember right.
I top of charge maybe 10 times over those years.

Hey I bought two zv6 15s what battery do I need and what amp do you recommend.
Xs power holds the volts got a d3400r in front of my toyota Highlander. The shuriken bt 80 for 100 dollars less is in the garbage I got sick of the resting voltage. To save 100 dollars you live and learn. So now I got the d3100 in the back. I run a 2000 watt cb radio amp that's like running 5000 watts of car audio. I want to go to a huge 8000 watt cb amplifier I'm thinking of the dangerous lithium big huge amp bank. I can run 8000 with 150 amp hours. I won't need the engine on. Yeah I noticed that when I bought my Mechman a few years ago then bought my XS 3400, their addresses were both on John Deere Dr in Tennessee(XS has a new address now). So I think Richard @ Mechman had helped me back then and I spoke with Anthony recently. Well anyway I was asking the guys at Mechman if they're owned by the same people, they told me they're both owned by powermaster. One guy at XS said that's not true, he said it was just a coincidence that they were located next to each other...

Yes there is a kit the batteries usually come with them, the post mounts bolt on so yes.

I have a kicker 360.4 running the speakers and plan to add prolly a down4sound JP8 at 1 ohm to a sundown SA12. JP, When you place the brass terminals on the new battery, would you suggest some "Three in One Oil" just couple drops so there are no issues removing them if you ever have to do so? I also bought some NCP2 Anti-Corrosion Protectant to apply and I bought the XS-Power Heat-Wrap Insulator kit just as an additional protectant for the battery from the massive heat under the hood in engine compartment. I also ordered the 1215 Intellicharger. I appreciate your help. If I get into a sound-system that is around 5K watts, I need to see what kind of Mechmann alternator I might need as well as if I will need an additional XS-battery such as the 3100 you showed in addition to my D3400R. I appreciate it if you are able to respond at your convenience. -Mainly wondering about the terminal concern. Thanks. Great video!!

The only thing I hear bad about XS Power is that while they do warranty their batteries but they make it a pain in the ass for a dealer to handle it for their customers. They give the dealer a hard time about it and want the end user to go through the hassle of the warranty process instead of letting the shop they got it from do it for them.

SUGGESTIONS?? TBH, only reason I haven't purchased an XS Battery is because there are so many fricken options that I don't know which to go with to replace my under-the-hood batt! e.g. AGM, Starting, Lithium, UltraCaps, etc. (My ride uses a Group 65 - a 2011 Ford Edge 3.5L w/ stock 150a alt and just upgraded amp from a RP3500.1 to an MD8000.1 amp. Have no caps and am not interested in spending more than $300 for a battery. My current stock batt is new and works well with my 3500.1 but I feel I ought to upgrade it now that I have a Taramps MD8K RMS amp) or should I first upgrade my stock 150 amp alt to a 300 amp alt first? Fricken frusturating!
Shouldnt have chosen an 8K amp if your electrical wasnt beefed up for it bro. Gotta start with electrical 1st. Get a D6500

Yes you can I have a D3100 in my trunk the D3100 is made to run subwoofers really the D3400 more for under the hood but will also work, xp batteries cannot be under the hood they have to be out away from the outside they are not suppose to go under your hood only the xs can go under the hood xp batteries have a thinner wall not made for the punishment of weather and stuff there a cheaper alternative for inside builds or in the cab or trunk maybe

Question. If your alternator is like 170amp..but you need like 200 amp to run the system. Would two of those batteries fix that?
