EFB explanation? You said 50 times check OEM. ok, but you still did not explain what is so "enhanced" and what the differences are. A good comparison of the four battery types would be to directly compare pros & cons of all four side by side. I have a 30 year old boat, and trying to figure out the differences. NO, I am not putting 30yr old tech in my boat, per OEM. I plan on adding lots more electrical devices and want to expand capacity for week long excursions. As a DIYer with heavy electrical backround, and a tight budget, I want to design a system that checks the right boxes. Thanks. CCA 32°? Will they all crank a 200hp engine? How much can I drain it? Useless if it can only be drained to 50%. Your EFB sounds like it's good at slow drain, but how does that differ from the other battery types? Heat sensitivity?
Just use the same battery type in 30 year old boat just double the amps the old way of doing it. However there is a RUclips boat owner that has a design and made electronic device to mix lead acid and lithium batteries on the same boat. To work together.
Basically an efb batter can start at very low voltage, higher heat tolerance, more cycle life vs traditional flooded lead acid, useful for stop/ start engines that shut off when fully stopped, charges better, and the most significant differences than an agm is the cost. I have a 2018 hyundai elantra sel that had an agm from the factory when I replaced it this year I used an efb from rural king. No difference at all in engine start up and usage. Save your money and go with an efb. Hope this helps.
Great video and explanation on the differences on AGM and EFB batteries. I use to sell Interstate batteries back in the 1980's when I worked for the Speed Merchant in Santa Clara, Cal. Has the quality on Johnson Control batteries gone down since they moved manufacturing to Mexico? What is your opinion on using a Pulse Tech PowerPulse passive battery desulfator, I have one on my 2001 BMW 530i battery, and have had no problems starting the car the past three years even though I only drive about 25 miles a week.
Would it be standard to charge a " new " battery before installing . As I have had a Duralast Platinum AGM battery in my 2020 Toyoa Camry. One day tried to start , no sound . Used a battery jumper Gooloo and got it started and car had no issues . Yet , a few days ago decided to remove spark plug to check condition . Disconnected spark coil , didn't try to remove spark plug and reconnected wiring and car won't start now . Showing all kinds of funky messages on screen .

Why does your website list both AGM and Flooded batteries for my Dodge Van if you are recommending to follow OE?
GMC MABUEL SAYS USE AGM SETTING TO PREVENT VOLTAGE FROM EXCEEDING 14.8 VOLTS BUT CHARGER HAS GONE UP TO 15.3-.5 VOLTS. CHARGER AT 100% BUT DIES NOT SAY FULL CHARGED.
I owned an EFB Interstate battery for my Ford Taurus Sedan. I got 4 years off that battery before I sold the car. That battery never needed a Jumpstart ever. The alternator kept it charged well enough. All I had to do was check the fluid level occasionally and keep the battery posts and cable ends clean. The car I own now has an AGM battery. I noticed, that if I have to replace it. It will be about $100+ more than the EFB battery. It will be an Interstate battery.
Don't buy Costco Interstate batteries! I just had one (AGM) go bad (125 CCA/850 new) after three months and all Interstate batteries now are prorated even failing the day after purchase! It cost me almost $30! And I was informed the quality of Interstate batteries has declined drastically! Especially if they are manufactured overseas (China or Mexico). Do your due diligence and be aware that a different brand may be better. Don't just assume Costco is cheaper or better. Some Costco warehouses have different brands, but be aware that other Costco warehouses may not have that brand to replace it.

Finally a decent overview video in proper detail. Although deserve way much higher view count
You guys are amazing. Thank you for the clarification and information on how AGM and EFB works. Awesome info.

Because some people can't afford it
Awesome and informative video, thank you so much!

I'd still prefer the AGM battery over the standard battery.
That's understandable! Do you have reasons as to why?

These new smart chargers don't give you true battery voltage it's telling you how much power the alternator is putting out, gmc is retarded

WHAT IS WRONG WHEN AGM SETTING ALKOWS VOLTAGE TO EXXEED,15VOKTS?
Very Informative - thank you
Good information, cool.
👌
I got a woody
