The Optical Maser Array is seriously one of the coolest weapons of all time. It has such a kick to it, with the sound effect and the way it turns light to dark, and that spectacular beam!
Optical Maser Array is my favourite RAC weapon of all time. I haven't played Size Matters in years but it doesn't change the fact that this weapon is the coolest shit ever, and almost as good as the Ryno.
it's a pain to Max out everything on it but man it's cool as fuck imo no weapon in any R&C game can top it punchy sfx, sexy beam, op, gun model everything about it is perfect. I remember little me bought ammo for it over and over again just to shoot it and listen to the sound of it.
This sounds like a neat idea actually. Just try out all fully upgraded weapons against the first boss in every game and compare the speed. That sounds fun
Concussion Canon is literally the worst made weapon in the entire franchise... I remember using it, and it would just take forever to kill someone because more than half of the shots doesn't even register a hit on the enemies
1:02 58 Million Bolts. *How long have you put into this?* Didn’t doing Dreamtime a hundred times, ever put you off? 3:03 Now that I think about it, why not the Chameleon armour? Doesn’t that thing protect more? 6:05 “Okay, have him grab a- Oh, Erm, he’s dead.” 6:26 And see above. 😂
Final level has a lot of crates, just suck crates up and kill enemies with it. The sheep on Dayni Moon and the bats in Dreamtime are also good places to grind Suck Cannon. If I recall, there's a part in the dream sequence where bats and doctor Qwarks spawn, which is one of the best places in the game to level up the suck cannon since the Qwarks give a lot of XP.
Dual lacerators: annoying to use. acid detonator: somewhat interesting concept but not very useful. it's nice though. concussion cannon: it really blows lol agents of dread: good scorcher: i really like the concept of that weapon, only downside: it is trapped in this game... killer bee mine: good suck cannon: no deadeye mine: i like this weapon a lot but it has a few issues electro rocket: i only made this list of descriptions to describe this... thing. it is a really sad excuse of a rocket. who thought of that and who approved it to be in the game? this weapon is the thing i remember the most from this game because of how much it sucked. it is a big gun that you think it is cool but when it actually fires it is so underwhelming... this weapon is a crime against ratchet and clank fans. repulser field: no optical maser ray: a very nice weapon, nice concept, limitation and reward (maybe too op, i dont know) ryno: well, it is a ryno. they just boosted its damage too much i think.
The Electro Rocket is like if the Plasma Coil was a rocket launcher, so in that sense I think it's pretty neat. It may not seem to do much damage to bosses compared to a few other weapons, but against normal enemies it's super effective (similarly to how the Plasma Coil was great against normal enemies and less so against bosses). And it has a lot of ammo. The Acid Detonator and Deadeye Mine both only have 8 ammo, so for the Electro Rocket to have 24 in this game is pretty insane. The Repulser Field is pretty insane as well but that's a whole different story.
If I knew how to edit the games code I would definitely change the damage values of a lot of these weapons. Honestly all of the weapons need a buff: -shotgun needs higher damage value/spread and given to you for free on first level like RAC 3 -dual blasters need a slight damage buff and faster fire rate -Rocket launcher needs higher damage value -Acid bomb needs a higher capacity (say 10-15 instead of 8) to be used in more situations -The suck cannon needs to be added in the second level not half way through game where it’s useless -the repulser field needs easier/faster way to level up
@@KingpinCarlito i would change the rocket too to have a bigger impact and make the dual lacerators less annoying, they flash too much and hurt the eyes in my opinion just like ryno 3 in rac 3 (it is a nice effect but when used too much it hurts)
@@RuminInLove any tips on getting used to this game's jank? i tried playing it again last year, but the camera and a few other things turned me off it.
I never really had trouble with this game's jank or controls to begin with, so I don't think I can relate enough to your question to answer it properly, but I'll see what advice I can give. What version did you play? If you first tried the PSP version and didn't like it, then maybe play the PS2 version. The controls are improved, and it's not any worse than the PSP version despite what fans say. I personally think the remapped controls and improved camera are worth it alone. The PS2 version adds up and down movements to the camera, gives crouching its own button, puts strafing on a shoulder button, has better lighting, adds a new costume to unlock, and fixes some glitches. The only caveat is that there are audio glitches, some downgraded skyboxes, and I think some porting glitches. I've also heard that the PS2 version is straight up missing an entire cutscene, but it must not be an important cutscene since I've never had a hard time following the cutscenes (or I could have been misinformed and no cutscene is missing). Also, try to get used to long jumping buffering. You can long jump, then hold crotch and Tap jump (no analog stick input necessary) to continue long jumps quickly. You can do similar things in every Ratchet game, but it's especially easy to do in this one. In the other Ratchet games you need to time your button presses, but in Size Matters you can literally just mash X and get the same result. It almost feels like you can continue long jumps 1 frame after another, and it feels fast and responsive once gotten used to. I have a feeling they did this because you needed to press 2 different buttons to crouch on PSP, so they added a qol buffer. It's essential movement, even casually imo. There's a certain feel to this game that's unique in the Ratchet series. I would describe it as Ratchet 1 clunkiness with Going Commando controls, with a little bit of it's own personality as well. Once gotten used to I think it can control pretty nicely. Edit: accidentally sent comment early lmao
@@RuminInLove aye, thanks for the input, just ran through it earlier, and aside from it being a pretty short game, it was pretty decent altogether, dunno why i thought it was terrible last time.
1. Go to Metalis 2. Start and quit a Clank mission over and over again 3. Keep going this until you have x12 bolt multiplier (it's a glitch) 4. Take the teleporter then break all the crates. 5. Take the teleporter back, go in your ship then fly to Dayni Moon. 6. Break all the creates near the start of Dayni Moon. 7. Fly back to Metalis. 8. Repeat steps 4-7.

Agreed, Sparky.
Is it worth the bolts to grind for 3,000,000 for the Titan upgrade? Yes.
My thoughts exactly
Rynocerator: “so you have chosen death?”
certainly took a bit to get it too ya
Holy crap the Concussion Cannon is worse that initially thought
That’s Clank Zapper levels of bad
Also fun fact: you can move the killer bee mines with a wrench hit
Cool to see recent videos about this game
Yeah, I noticed there weren't any videos of decent quality showing all the weapons in Size Matters so I quickly threw this together.
This sounds like a neat idea actually. Just try out all fully upgraded weapons against the first boss in every game and compare the speed. That sounds fun
Interesting. So Mungo has to get the pipe first before you can actually kill him.
XD
the only thing the concussion cannon is giving a concussion to is me with that damage, swear to god worst shotgun weapon in all of RAC
ngl i just finished this thing only using optical master array freakin op in the psp version
I love how huge the Electro Rockets are. Probably the biggest weapon Ratchet ever holds.
Poor mungo
the concussion gun is the worst shotgun ever lmao
No doubt. Not even the Shard Reaper from Tools of Destruction isn't as bad as the concussion gun.
@@Asaylum117 agreed and the sad thing is it isn't even close despite how bad the shard reaper is
You have to beat Mungo only with the omniwrench :D
one shot kill! 😃

Medical outpost still gives it to you even if you never bought it

How do I make my weapons Titan? I already have them all V4
After fighting the final boss, select the option to start a new game with all your weapons and money. Then buy the titan weapons at any vendor.
