Steve, happy to see you visiting southern West Virginia. At one time I was a train dispatcher on the line through Matewan. The abandoned railroad right-of-way you saw was called Mate Creek Branch. It was quite active when I worked for NS. I love your trucking channel.

Glad to see you're still posting videos for your Railroad Channel. Nice to see some surviving Conrail coalporter gondolas at 0:46 and 4:47. I grew up with Conrail in the Lehigh Valley in eastern PA. Hopefully one day you get to do a collab with Jaw Tooth. I know he filmed trains there in Matewan.

Strange that the "bullet holes" on the front face of the building all happen to be in the mortar joints between the bricks. It's easier to drill holes in mortar than it is through brick. Just sayin'.
