Erykah is an incredibly influential artist. Her and D’Angelo basically invented the genre of neo soul.

As a Gen X'er , listening to this back in 97 was 🤯🤯🤯🤯. My friends and I would Have many Cyphers just vibing along to Baduizm(The Start of the Neo-Soul Revolution) Her Live Album is Even Better (if that's possible) All her future projects are even better than the last (again, if that's even possible)
- I would Highly Recommend & Strongly Suggest listening to another Breakout Artist of this specific time , who's music will Transcend you into another Headspace

Erykah Badu’s music is for healing the spirit. Honestly it saved my life. If i can sit with Erykah and pick her brain, i would rest in peace. She is truly one of a kind. They weren’t lying when they say every man who lays eyes on Badu, falls in love. I remember the first song i heard was called *ME* and instantly caught the vibe on a deep level. The type of music to walk barefoot in the tall grass while on shrooms. However her music produces Natural Psychedelics.

Yea yo means mother. BLUES BROTHERS 2000 put the best new in the movie artist in each category bluegrass, blues, soul Erika Badu plays a role in it. I think this was the only artist I listened to for a couple years.
