- If you have any more former / abandoned stations to request, PLEASE comment them down below, as I would love to do more of these in the coming future!!!
Harmon Cove was a short-lived train station that mainly served Secaucus that never really succeeded. In this video, I explain the history of this rusted little station and tell you why it was kind of significant. This station eventually was torn down because it kinda made way for Secaucus Junction, which is a grand transfer station that serves nearly every single NJ Transit Line. Enjoy this mini history video, guys!

i remember vivadly being inside the Secaucus building with my dad for the first time and just watching Amtrak and NJT trains go by a while before the pandemic hit. it was so much fun, and i also go to stop by at the Dunkin Donuts inside there. i’m fr never forgetting the times i got to go in there
Nice video, yeah that station was short lived nearly forgotten. Could you make a video about the old greenwood lake boonton line before the montclair boonton?
Good idea - you could even go back before the merger. The Lackawanna and Erie had separate stations in Mountain View (Wayne). It's really a shame what NJT did with this line, back in the early 70s the EL even had limited service up there on Saturday and the that local could go between Mountain View and Hoboken in 44 minutes. Today a local takes about an hour. Progress?
Great research!!! You’ve made an interesting, informative video. You done good!!!
I know it’s a very small station but you should do Great Notch station.
My aunt used to commute to Harmon Cove from Rutherford for a period in the '80s.
Can you make a video of the Phillipsburg NJ R staition?
Love this video can you maybe try Grove Street or Roseville avenue
VERY interesting! And I had no idea about the 1996 NJT train wreck. I'mm even more surprised that when I rode the Roos Rowland C&O 614 / New Jersey Transit excursion later that year there was no mention of it by anyone anywhere.
I AM surprised that someone who was color-blind achieved engineer status, that was NEVER allowed in the old railroad days.
Well done sir very well done
W video btw R.I.P Harmon Cove
Why was Secaucus Jct set up so that you are required to show your ticket at a turnstile to transfer between divisions? Is there any other station in the NJT network that requires this? I have issues every time whether with a paper ticket or even a bar code on my phone (a customer service rep said my phone wasn't bright enough!), and I nearly miss my connection. Why aren't there stairs that lead directly from the upper level platform down to the lower level platform, which would save at least five minutes?
Keep making these Train videos I L watching them on RUclips
Can you do the carlton hill spur?
What is the history of the Bergen County line and the Pasack Valley Line in Northern NJ? Is the Port Jervis line part of NJ Transit or MNRR?
Both are Erie. Port Jervis line is owned by NS, leased to MN, operated by NJT
I remember the 1996 disaster!!
Some Hoboken division trains are on the upper level
which ones?
@@landon2806 Montclair boonton, Morris and essex
Technically not actually a junction since the upper and lower lines don't interconnect.
