Boone Golf club is one of golf's best gems in western North Carolina and it is in PEAK FALL form. Join me as we tackle all 18 holes at Boone Golf Club!
thanks for playing here. always wanted to play it,but every time the wife and i were there, i didnt have my clubs. wondered about it. seems pretty great
I have played there twice, both times it rained on us! Hopefully next time I play there it will be a dry day. While it's a "mountain" course, it's more in the valley and has the views surrounding it. It does not have the big elevation changes and side hill lies of typical mountain courses. Both times I have played it, it was in great shape. Unfortunate you had the maintenance going on. Seems like you need to make another trip out there in the summer to play it in better conditions and get some revenge for your score. Enjoyed the video, thanks for posting it. It's always fun to see you take on courses I have played.
Mountain course dont need to be long, all the elevation changes and trees make them a test of accuracy. Beautiful course, makes me miss the SE. Good stuff, keepem coming. ⛳😃
Challenging course if your not hitting it straights and the greens are very challenging, if the putters not working you can shoot a bunch on this course
@@PerfectlyAverageGolf definitely. You kind of have to work the ball (mostly left to right ) off the tee. I think it favors a stout 3w or 2-Iron more than it does a driver. And you hit the ball really far with your driver.
I suggest you find the distance to the front and back of the green. Then play a shot to the middle and not aim at flags. You have not gotten any better at reading greens. Get low on the opposite side and read the line in two halves.
Yeah not knowing how the greens were setup as a first playthrough definitely hurt, playing the middle would have gotten me in MUCH better spots than trying to go at some of these flags distance wise
Totally a fair opinion, I will say courses out west definitely provide that character that is missing from Boone, but I still really enjoyed the track nonetheless
The problem in this area are your top courses in the state are private. The Boone Golf Club is the only option in the county to play public. For the money and location it’s really a great deal.
Took this tip to my most recent round, you are 1000% right. Idk when it happened or why it happened but I've definitely not be as upright as what was comfortable before.
This is my home course. Great video.
Heck yeah, it chewed me up on this day but it's a fun track!

Super tricky course, definitely requires a good tee game!

Haha definitely would be down to get out there in the spring or summer for sure. That area is just too cool lol
Love this course. Played here twice in the fall.
Super fun tight little course! Definitely want to get back out here when we're hitting better tee shots lol

And wouldn'tt you know it accuracy was the worst part of my game this day haha
Looks like magic to a brand new golfer, man. Great job 👊
Fall golf in the mountains is UNRIVALED
Dude, as a Canadian love the Tim Horton reference. Enjoy the content, keep them rolling.
LOL glad someone caught it
I live here now and love all golf. I play Mountain Air a lot
On my list of courses to play this fall!
Mountain Aire is a fun track

Without question the greens can eat you alive out here, that plus the course really was quite tight. Agree on all fronts
We all have those days.
It doesn’t get better than Boone GC, it’s a great test of a variety of tee shots .
Wish I woudl have had a better tee game this day, great looking course

Not as much elevation as I was anticipating
Maybe not hole to hole but you are UP there overall
I would have said TAKE TWO after the first hole and started over
Hahaha nearly needed to because WOW was driver rogue this day

I’ve played it a couple times. It has zero character.. Much more scenic courses in the NC mountains.
Totally a fair opinion, I will say courses out west definitely provide that character that is missing from Boone, but I still really enjoyed the track nonetheless

don't care what i shoot. that's what you say when you open with 2 doubles.lolsaid it myself many times
typical response to two doubles in a row. i dont care what i shoot.dont believe that. a real golfer,as you are, always cares what he shoots
😶
You're too hunched over. The longer the club the worse it is. Take a look at your setup compared to your better rounds. Night and day.
