Played mid September, tough course but absolutely breathtaking views!!! Not for the faint of heart though , the cart paths are crazy steep at times. Would definitely recommend just for the views, beautiful greens and the staff were amazing!!
Went there back in October, every time I go to the casino I play this course and Maggie valley. Sequoyah is my favorite course I’ve ever played. Challenging but yet fun.
i’m playing maggie valley tomorrow. how is it? i wanted to play sequoyah which brought me to this channel actually but for $160 and playing with my brother in law who isn’t a golfer i couldn’t justify it lol
@@PerfectlyAverageGolf had a fantastic time. helps that i was a tough final 30 yards on 17 away from the 70’s lol but i was very happy with my 81. fun course and in great shape! will definitely be back next time i’m up there (i live in raleigh)
Hahaha yeah 17 and 13(the par 4 down the hill before the 2nd par 3) Are both greens that it's impossible to stop the ball on lol did you opt to carry the creek on 18?
im like you. i didnt really care how i played i was just glad to be there. course we say that when you have shot 45 on the front. second time i played it was much better
played that course 3 times, but not with that kind of wind. first and third time the conditions were great.the second time it was awful. think they hired a bad greenskeeper. regardless of condition just a magnificent course
I played it today! Spectacular views. Greens still weren’t healed from being punched 2 weeks ago. You did inspire to play from the tips though. Driver in full send mode all day. I hit driver on 15 over the trees and landed in middle of fairway about 15 yards in front of green. I made a mess out of 11 for a double bogey or I would have broken 80.
@@PerfectlyAverageGolf The greens will still suck Thursday but the scenic views never do. So at least you will have an excuse for missing all those putts LOL
Gorgeous course, definitely on my list next time up there. Great content as always. I’ve always joked I can teach a master-class on “How to turn a birdie into a bogie in 3 easy putts”!
So many nice looking holes it's hard to pick one favorite. IMO this is the most beautiful course you have played so far. I liked the paw print bunkers on 18 too - not sure if you noticed it from the drone shot...pretty cool. This one is going on my list of courses I'd like to travel to play. It was just the putter that let you down on this round. Other than that it was pretty clean. Should be hitting 1K subs real soon brother and you deserve it with some of the best golf vlog content on YT.
You picked the wrong line on #7 and #9 off the tee...or maybe you just hit bad shots, but there zero reason to put the hazards in play, as those two fairways are spacious...I would think you are slightly off in your calculations for elevation, which does give a few more yards of carry...don't sweat your putting, those greens are downright evil on downhill putts...never complain about the wind, as the Scots would tell you, "it's nae golf without the wind"...
I'm from North Alabama and I'm going to make a trip up there next month. Place looks absolutely MINT! Did you rent a cabin or just a day trip? Some of the cabins have some wild views too.
Oh I just drove up, I'm only about an hour away from the course. Enjoy it though!!! If you do stay in the area check out Laurel Ridge and Maggie Valley if you're looking for more golf in the area. Those are my #2 and #3 courses in western NC!!
@@PerfectlyAverageGolf appreciate it! I'll definitely check those out too. I have a friend that played a tournament there a year ago and he loved it. I had no idea it was only a few hours away. I've been wanting to visit Cherokee just to see it. Seems like a pretty neat area in general.

Top course I've ever played no doubt

Those are by far the two best you could hit out that way no doubt!

Hahaha Maggie is a T3 course in the area in my mind. A great option if Sequoyah is out of reach and you'll enjoy it without a doubt

It's one of those courses that you need at least two playthroughs on to learn without a doubt. Keep an eye for the next video on the channel 👀
Love the bear paw-shaped bunker complex on #18.
So unique, love little things like that

It's the best, just wait for the next video launching on the channel tomorrow 👀
Played it. Absolutely amazing!
Really is 💯
i remember sayin to my buddies that 13 is the most beautiful hole i've ever seen
It's a fkn GEM

Ah I'm going on Thursday! DIdn't realize they had punched so early! Great round though, low 80s is solid for that track from the tips!

READ MY MIND HAHAHA
Awesome content! Playing this course next month and you got me very excited for the views!
It's legitimately my favorite golf course I've played and that includes playing courses lik Chambers Bay and Torrey Pines. Enjoy it!
Awesome video.
Cheers!
Just found your channel. Well done content! Fair to say you preferred Sequoyah over Sky Valley?
Cheers my friend! Welcome! And yeah Sequoyah is my #1 without question in the area
Great course
One of the best!
Beautiful course. Your content is excellent so I think you’ll hit 1,000 subscribers soon and go well beyond that.
Ayyy cheers, here's hoping!
wind sucks. great views.
Yeah this was one of the windiest days I've ever played in no question
This is seriously one of the better golf channels out there cant believe the subscriber count tbh
Cheers my man! Small but mighty little community here
I feel all that Alan, start out great, get the head worms and fall apart lolol 105 to go bother!! lets get out soon sir
Yessir! After Thanksgiving I'm DOWN
I just added this course to my bucket list I love mountain golf ouuu so sexy
It's 100% justified as a bucket list course, I've never seen anyhting like it
Gorgeous course, definitely on my list next time up there. Great content as always.
I’ve always joked I can teach a master-class on “How to turn a birdie into a bogie in 3 easy putts”!
Hahaha seriously I've turned more birdies into bogeys than I care to count
to be legal,on #7 you should have played the third shot from the tee side of the hazard. just sayin. but it's your game
do you know who the designer was . give him or her props
No clue whatsoever
What month was this filmed in? I will be there next month
Middle of October! If you're there from mid October to very early November you'll catch peak colors!
Very nice! Yeah I’m going the first weekend in November so hoping for nice weather!
Hoping for ya! Let me know how it goes!!

Yeah dude that 18th is unreal from that tee box. Best view in NC golf no questions
the views are very distracting. i did the same thing on 10. thought i hit the drive down the middle and it wound up in the hazard
hahaha yeah this course is unreal distracting
Mountain greens have their own unique breaks sue to the way the grain grows toward slopes. Tough to read and those courses are always undulating.
Sure do especially when you're on the side of a mountain the whole round lol

Definitely lessons learned from this round. Oddly enough I just played here again a few days ago, that video is going to be nuts 👀😏
