My brother in Christ, please learn aim point. Your ball striking is too crisp to lose that many strokes on the green.
It's gotten better this season haha but TRUST ME the greens are trickier here than they look on the camera 😂
@ the boys and I will find out in April. Playing here, Smoky, and Maggie.
Lancaster Golf course at that way is nice too.
Good shout haven't been there yet!
Just a tad pretentious with the gold ball if it goes in crap. One and done
lol yeah because we all clearly expect every par 3 to be a hole in one, very obviously just joking around
Make GOLF affordable AGAIN 😂😂😂😂 the conman taketh again
LOL it was a little more than I would have said it was worth but it was a pretty pristine course
Alan…Need MORE shot tracing 🤛🏽👍🏽
Good feedback, I was doing a lot in the last few (more than usual) and was curious to see if anyone noticed I didn't do as much on this one 🤝
@ Appreciate all the work you put in to make your videos an easy watch Alan. Looking forward to the next one 👍🏽
Woohooo!!!
Greened the par 4 hole 4 with a nice high draw. Thought it landed in the grass on the edge and found it on the green. Thanks for the video. Shot a tough 77 with 2 doubles. This video helped me navigate the course.
77 out there is a REALLY good score. Driving the 4th is no joke congrats and glad you enjoyed!!!
Good round. 6 bills is crazy, no way I could justify paying that. Alan, what driver do you have? Can't remember if you have done a What's In The Bag?
$600 for a course on that complex would have been absolute highway robbery in my mind. I'm hitting a Stealthy 2! (I need to do a WITB badly)
I guess this needs to be said for some reason: its just golf. We arent out here making political decrees, we're just playing golf.
Whaddya mean it's only $600. 🤣
Couldn't believe it haha
@@PerfectlyAverageGolf I think Sawgrass is even more.
@@TMar1961 you are comparing this to Sawgrass? You’re kidding right?
@@citizensauto no, just that the prices have gone through the roof.
Yeah sawgrass is wild PLUS you have to have a caddy I'm pretty sure
I have so many pics at this course. It's like playing in a bowl of Fruity pebbles during the fall.
Bowl of Fruity Pebbles is crazy but accurate lol
Wonderful course. Hole 2 to me is the hardest hole on that course. You stated water to the left. However you forgot to mention the water to the right and the water in front of the green too. Also hole 12 you played it perfectly not knowing. As you saw hitting it to the left of the green can get you some great results. The ball just rolls right down the hill onto that green. Hole 14 the green slopes from front to back. So play for the front of that green. Then on 16 if you take to much club and hit the hill behind that green, it will run back down to the green, like a back stop.
I just replayed here a few days ago and 2 crushed me, 12 I got rewarded, 14 was impossible to hold on slick greens, and 16 I was short. Again. LOL
@@PerfectlyAverageGolf That tee shot on 2 is intimidating. That hole to me is just super hard. If you go left your in the pond on the left. If you go to the right you can end up in the river on the right. It requires an accurate tee shot. Then into the green if your short you can find the water in front of the green. You also don't want to hit it over that green either with the woods and water behind. Tough hole.
Another awesome vlog. I just have to tell you it's been a real pleasure watching your game grow from the 90s to the 70s of today. You deserve a hell of a lot more viewers/subs than 4.5k.👍
Cheers man and thanks for coming back! Means a lot
“The sand game is so good and I don’t know why. Haven’t been working on it at all”. Haha! Had me laughing. That’s golf.
Hahaha 🤣 THAT IS GOLF
Solid golf Alan, a pleasure to watch 🤙🏻
Pleasure to have you back!
Don't bother playing the Royal Hawaiian.... The greens are always terrible
Oof good to know
@ It IS very scenic, but yeah.... it's like putting on the surface of the moon
Super fun to watch your video. Saw this before I played at Torrey and helped me set expectations. I see your an 8 and shot 14+. I’m a 4 and my goal was to just break 83 and shot 81. Was super nice to see the course and get some insight into it!
Congrats! Scoring is definitely possible out there since it's nearly impossible to lose a ball. I was surprised it was as open as it was. Obvi tourney conditions are WAY different but still
Since this was a year and a half ago, sure you've already figured this out....most of your pushes are not. Your feet and body are aimed well right of the target, so when you hit it where you aim, you think you're pushing it. Work on that alignment and cut loose.
Oh yeah we've definitely noticed the alignment while editing this video haha
Euless, TX...NOT Dallas!
Fun round to watch. It's a beast of a course. Played there a few times. Funny how you tap in from real close for par on 14, 15 and 16 but take gimmies for bogey from three feet + elsewhere. I get the perfectly average golf thing but dropping three in the fairway on those lost balls plus all those gimmies is NOT an 85. Hope you're not posting that score.
Love the sound of all that traffic on Dufferin St.
Rockin it as always PAG🤟🏻
You know ittttt
There's something so humbling about golf, but also something so rewarding about it at the same time. Sloppy round off the tee and still scraped together a decent round. Golf is weird like that lol
shot a 75 there last year when visiting family for christmas hope to play there again next week
Hell of a score!
We should play a round at some point. I’m 3-4 months into golf and around Charlotte area just played sunset hills a few weeks ago. What’s pretty cool is my record before was a 102 but just this past Sunday something clicked and I shot an 87 with a triple bogey on the last hole but I think it’d be a fun video since I’m a near beginner to make a video. I’m planning on uploading some to my channel once I’m shooting 80s consistently.. haha keep up the content
Apologies for overlooking your review earlier! We truly value your insights and on-course commentary, and we’ve been impressed by the growth of your RUclips channel-keep up the great work! We’re honored to have both Apple Valley and Bald Mountain featured in your video and appreciate the added exposure. We’re proud of what we offer and hope everyone gets the chance to visit us soon. We’d love to see you back to enjoy playing both courses again!
Great to see you guys out here! I really hope everything is going okay post-Hurricane for you all. Sending out prayers and blessings for you all
You would have been better off with thr hybrid on 11
New 1954
ALso, snapping every time you hit a bad putt or whatever is really annoying.
My sister lived across the street from the 8th hole, so I used to go out every night and walk their dog, running her on holes 6, 7 & 8 back to the house. I also used to sneak on a bunch and just play parts of the front nine after work when no one was on the course. +4 on that front nine, is absolutely phenomenal, as there are a bunch of tricked up holes with deceptive views. That 6th hole particularly is so narrow into that green, and yeah, if you walk into the woods on the left you'll find a month's supply of golf balls. The downside to Rumbling Bald Resort, is that you get a bunch of retirees, who literally dictate to the course how they want to play, rather than the course dictate pairings, etc. I showed up as a single one morning at Bald Mountain, and the course wanted to pair me up with a retired couple (I'm a 3 handicap btw), and when the starter let the couple know I would be playing with them, the old man, without missing a beat yells, "LIKE HELL HE IS! WE EITHER PLAY BY OURSELVES OR WE'RE GOING HOME!!!" The starter just looked at me and quietly said, "just go off before them by yourself." Not my only bad experience with some of the golfers at this resort. You must've played late afternoon or something, because having the course to yourself there is rare on a weekend. I tried playing one Saturday in the summer mid morning, and it was a 5+ hour logjam, and the same scenario where retired couples won't pair up, so instead of a foursome, you had a retired couple, then myself with a 17 yr old and his girlfriend, and then another dude behind us who I asked to pair up with us, but refused to pair up, and played behind us a single. It was one of the most uncomfortable rounds I've ever played, because we waited on the retired couple on every shot on every hole, and then the dude behind us, playing as a single kept showing up on the teebox while we were still waiting to tee off on every hole. I mean, how anti-social can you be not to pair up as a single, and then have the audacity to insist on playing by yourself and then being rude enough to drive up on the group in front of you who is still waiting on the tee box. I post all of this here more as a warning for anyone considering playing these courses. Bring your own foursome, and avoid this place as a single, because your day will be ruined or miserable based on pace of play, and the amount of retired assholes that have no social skills whatsoever.
I have played this course and i have watched other foreign golf courses wtih women caddies like Thailand. i have never seen a video with a woman caddie in america. has anyone had experience with a woman caddie? i am just wondering why there appears to be no women caddies in america or why its not as prevalent.
That's a great question, and I don't have any good answer for it tbh lol
Horrible golf course with a routing done by an idiot, the only worse golf course is Emeral Lake.
Playing there for the first time on Monday, so I had to come check if you have a video for it 🙂
You already know!!! Have fun!
Don't forget to go grab a bite to eat at Sapona Grille.
Nice round! Good video per usual!
Cheers my dude, appreciate that!
Excellent vid. Excellent playing. Congrats on the *no spoiler*
LOL cheers my man
Great round!!
Thanks dude
Nice looking course! At the beginning of the video I thought perhaps you were playing in a group of about 8 people. 😆
Hahaha they were a group of 7 and I was meant to be paired with one of them 4 balls but they were like just play ahead of us. Feels good to crank one in front of the locals lol
Get with Peter and Rick and take em down 😃
Or meet up somehow with the Bryan Bros. The trip to Solina can't be far from you ...
LOL would be nice
Eh not big enough for that, maybe one day
Great Video!! I look forward to seeing more.
More on the way!
Can’t wait till this channel blows up and I can say I was one of your first thousand subscribers
Haha cheers man, definitely want to put more effort into building socials next year
Great round and awesome driving. Best that I have seen from you.
Legitimately best we've had on the channel, shocked myself hahaha
Great video buddy just found your channel 👍⛳️
Thanks man! Hope you enjoy, lots of great rounds recently and being edited now
7 handicap? Ok if you say so.
Sure do! So does GHIN! Wild how that works eh?
@@PerfectlyAverageGolf I'd guess a 10-12. JMHO
@@PerfectlyAverageGolfall i would say is that a 7 handicap is not an average golfer bro. But still good nonetheless. Keep up the great work
@@JmackJah bro shot +8 on a tour course, first time playing it, in 30 mph winds and you're doubting he's a 7 handicap? lol
@@TrueGameData right? this dude has no clue how the handicap system works lmao
Good golf on a scenic and wonderful course. I enjoyed the video a lot.
Cheers my friend 🥂
You need to try Stonebridge in Waxhaw
Going to really try to get out there before the end of the season
Love it! Absolutely love that course! Hit me up next time you on Maui. Wailea Gold, Emerald, and Blue are just down the street from my house!
We actually stayed in Wailea while we were there and I had big time FOMO of the courses there
Greens that large with that much wind the approach shots along with pitches and putts have to dialed in. Spectacular views are awesome.
And it's all Bermuda too which is my biggest rival haha
Really nice courses you got to play there. On my family trip to Hawaii (Oahu and Big Island) this summer, I played 27 holes at Waikoloa Beach Resort. Lava rocks everywhere, such a different look than what you saw.
Yeah this was my first taste of Hawaii and I definitely want to do big island next time around
Saw this video yesterday and booked a tee time for this Sunday. Looks amazing! Love this part of the country but have never golfed there. Can't wait for Sunday!
Have fun! It's a magical place, truly
@PerfectlyAverageGolf it was amazing! Already looking forward to coming back in May.
