My doctor said that the space in my teeth were narrow. So it was not easy to put the needle inside. Then i keep doin the xray during the process. I was so impressed to see how my dentist were so dedicated to give the best treatment for me. But unfortunately, when i made the last xray before finishing the treatment, the needle inside was fractured for about 1mm. And its too deep inside my teeth. But during the treatment i dont feel any pain. So my dentist said, it should be okay since there were lots cases like mine before. And hopefully nothing bad will happen in the future. I'm 30 years old, when I was 16 my mom took me to the dentist and I was told I needed root canal there and then. Which was no problem because I never had a bad experience (until she started) the dentist "numbed" my mouth when she started to drill I said I can feel it... She continued for 45 more minutes without more injections whilst my "mother" allowed this to happen. A week ago today I went to see a dentist because I haven't been since and I'm in constant pain. Dentist said I needed 12 teeth out 2 root cannals and 7 fillings.. including removing my front teeth and leaving me without any dentures for 6 weeks whilst they make them.. And this is the reason I won't have it done no dentist I've ever found has ever been able to help me the moment I sit down I shake like crazy I've even had sedation and it didn't work. Long and short of it I have to live with pain I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Before long something will have to give I've even considered taking my own life. Imagine all parts of your mouth shooting in pain literally 24 7 of your life you can't eat and I only drink smoothies for meals. One word of advice please look after your teeth. X
Root canal has an apparent 50% success rate. It locks the abscess inside your jawbone which then roots your bone away from inside out. But what do you expect we still use toxic mercury in fillings from the 1800s.
Success rate is about 80%, depending on the status of the tooth to begin with. Antibacterial agents are used to clean the canals. The source of the infection is the dead/dying nerve. Once this is removed the body can work at the residual jaw infection :)
I just got one and it didn't hurt one bit, only when putting the Anesthesia thats it. I'm debating if I should get a crown or not. My tooth feels good no pain or anything when I drink cold drinks or when I eat food.
Get the crown! My old dentist did a root canal didn’t place a crown and the tooth cracked. I ended up losing the tooth. My new dentist did try and save it by placing a crown but it was too late.
@@daniellebudick9485 I would get the crown, but I paid for the root canal, my insurance paid half and I had to pay the rest out of pocket, pretty expensive. Don't have money for a crown right now unfortunately, I've heard they are expensive also.
Root canals are nearly the same price as an implant. A lot of people seem to have problems with root canals after a few years so it makes you wonder if they're worth it
My Girlfriend had some front tooth issues. I paid the dentist to convince her that all her front teeth were bad, and he removed all of them. I like her a lot better now this way for obvious reasons.
Yeah if only root canal treatment was so easy. Bent canals, obliterated canals, zero working space, fighting tongue and scared Patients. But what do i know? I've only done endodontics full time for 38 years. Have a great day!!
I have a question. I got a root canal YEARS ago and I don't think the dentist finished the job and I don't remember what step he stopped at. If I were to wall into the dentist today would it be safe to get the tooth removed?
Had this done recently need to go back later to get the crown added. Felt no pain at all until they had to seal the insert and the freeze wore off. If you don’t have dental insurance it is going to be costly. With dentists wanting people to come in regularly maybe if the prices weren’t so outrageous people would do so. As it is once I get the crown put in it’ll be about $1800 in out of pocket costs. That’s a heck of a lot for one tooth.
Did you get your crown? I just had a root canal done and really debating on going back for my crown. My root canal was done on my front side tooth which I don't eat on that side so I'm thinking I would be ok without a crown

So i want to ask if anyone here have the same experience as mine. Mind to share? Cause actually im a bit afraid after i heard that needle was fractured.
I had my root canal treatment done last week... Whenever I try to chew there it hurts a little as if I'm pushing the teeth down is this pain normal.? And furthermore is it normal to feel a little weird after getting a permanent crown ? I got my permanent crown yesterday and it feels a bit weird.. Moreover the dental crown feels a bit heavy... I don't know how to describe this feeling... And while chewing I feel a slight push on the root canal tooth... I'm really worried about it.. Is it normal for the first few days??
@@animeshupadrasta7971 i havent do my crown yet. Just did filling for now and going to do crown after my braces treatment. I guess u need to go to ur doctor to check. I didnt feel any pain after the treatment.
Same here 😔
Root canal booked for the 30th!
Not a coincidence this was recommended...
Mines tomorrow and I got this recommended just now ...
@@garimakashyap3466 guys, I'm extremely bad with those things. I was scared to death, lol. I did this like 6 months ago. O swear: the hardest part is to keep your mouth open for like 40 minutes! I felt nothing!! Oh also, I'm afraid of needles. But besides of that, it was good!
@@thelaziestbee thanks for telling this! I got it done and keeping your mouth open was the hardest including applying the substances which are extremely sour, my jaw starting aching really hard because of that!

This was recommended to me and I watched the whole thing. Very satisfying.
The way this video Hurts more than doing an actual root canal 💀💀💀which is quite painless!!!!

The Gator-Glidden drill.

I had a root canal done and honestly I feel the dentist that did it just wanted to charge the insurance. Because he said I needed to come back for my other mollar done and I never went back. And years later I went to a dentist from my husband union dentist line. They did check up and x- rays and they told me I didn’t need a root canal. And I have realize I didn’t need that root canal the previous dentist did. Be aware some dentists are crook.
0:30 that hit my brain nerve, my whole body fluctuated!
Same here!! Worst feeling in my life period.
So other process are not painful (I'm going to do on Sunday and I'm very scared)
Always get a 2nd opinion before a root canal diagnosis! Huge $$ maker.
Yes you’re right! I spent 1,300 for this root canal + a dental crown. If I know I would spent a lot of money I would have just requested to pull an entire tooth .
My root canal cost $1200, thank God I have insurance.
I was watching NFL highlights and suddenly got this recommend. Thanks for caring youtube.

It's not painful in real. Got it done for my 3 teeth
It really doesn’t hurt and I’m a big baby.
@@daniellebudick9485 ha, yes, probably when you have good dentist and painkillers. But how you know if the dentist is good? I feel like mine just wants me come back for the money
@@itsnotimportant2338 it doesn't hurt 😅. The only pain is the needle from the anesthesia, which isn't horrible.

I’ve had 3 of them , wide awake and never felt a thing , Some people have all this drama about their root canals . The only thing you need to watch out for is a secondary infection , which I had 15 years later
It's because your dentist was more competent in his job, unlike the dentists in other reviews.
Secondary infection, could you explain please?

funny thing is this got recommended to me the night before my root canal appointment
How fancy it's looking but i think it's very painful
It's only painful to your wallet...
Alot of thanks for make this video
I am so clear about root canal
I have realised from this video clip
How will root canal be make
Been through this several times already that i know all the next steps by heart. ( No, i`m not dentistry personell).
just had mine finished up today. it took two appointments, the first one was for drilling and cleaning the tooth, then temporarily filled. the second appointment was the cement. minimal pain ^^
Dentist- Calm down Bob, this is your first surgery, it's gonna be fine.
Patient- my name is not bob-
Dentist- no- mine is, I am talking to myself.
I went to the dentist today and this video was recommended to me
I'm 30 years old, when I was 16 my mom took me to the dentist and I was told I needed root canal there and then.

Wow the pins magically turned into filling with one swipe of the blade. I wonder how that magic is created?
Made from body-friendly material
I see (I was joking though)
I can already feel the pain watching it. How about you going thru this😭😭😭😭😭
It's not painful at all.... only pain you feel is the pain in your jaw due to keeping your mouth open during the treatment 🤷🏽♂️
I can feel the pain from the screen without the sedation. It's pure raw pain.
I'm really rethinking this snickers I'm eating right now, but a little kool-aid should clear my head.
Got this recommended while i am sitting in clinic

A lot of people seem to have problems with root canals after a few years so it makes you wonder if they're worth it
Here in Romania a root canal is at least 3-4 times cheaper than an implant!!
most insurance covers root canals at least where i live
In Albania whole root canal treatment is 50-150$ depends on tooth
My Girlfriend had some front tooth issues. I paid the dentist to convince her that all her front teeth were bad, and he removed all of them. I like her a lot better now this way for obvious reasons.

How does the abscess under the molar get drained? Are antibiotics enough?

I have a question. I got a root canal YEARS ago and I don't think the dentist finished the job and I don't remember what step he stopped at. If I were to wall into the dentist today would it be safe to get the tooth removed?
Why is this recommend to me? RUclips do you know something I don't? 😳
It also done with my theet after eatinag I feelpain in my theeth aper sadi why plztell mi
