This isn’t anything to do with celebrities. This is people on the right being attacked by people on the left with a couple the other way round to make it seem balanced. The sort of trick mainstream media does to bamboozle midwits.
It would be good to actually see the whole arguments rather than snippets with voice overs.
Ten times WatchMojo ruined content with voiceover
Nothing, thank you. It's all voiceover, tiny amounts of content. SSH! OH, and Laurence Fox won his argument in that clip, he certainly wasn't owned. Maybe shut up long enough to pay attention to what you're meant to be curating?
Please don't narrate so much on your videos its so annoying - show the actual content
What's the point in having the narrator talks all over the clips?
Especially for no’2 the actual exchange is much more interesting than how the narrator described.
As I said in another post QT is unwatchable due to constant interruptions while someone is talking.
Standard WatchMojo editing
Because they want to form our opinions with their bias.
@@jimjames4348 No. It’s because they want to annoy you and create arguments in the comments which helps drive the video to the front of RUclips. They don’t care about influencing any opinion. They are just playing the algorithm. All of their videos have spurious claims to drive engagement. That’s why they love making ranking videos like ‘top ten Uk rockers’, where they include some wild card near the top to piss everyone off. They aren’t trying to brainwash you, they are just trying to get views
'Celebrities'? Crap politicians more like.
Hahaha was just thinking that, this isn’t America!
Smug politicians knowing they can't be touched are the greatest threat to people's rights everywhere.
QT is just a circus. The BBC is a state broadcaster.
Ian Hislop said later that as he was having his spat with 'Saint' Mary Archer it occurred to him that it was very possibly the first time in her life that anybody had ever actually stood up to her.
You see this in the current Prime Miniature - tetchy asf. The joys and wonders of a privately schooled education, where they're indoctrinated to believe they're somehow special.
I am in the Royal Papworth at the moment probably the best hospital in the U.K. The road leading up to it is called Dame Mary Archer Way. They have named a road after her because she has achieved more in life than Hislop could ever possibly dream about. He is a nasty, little, piece of work.
@@Chris54ish ...who tells the truth, unlike Jeffrey Archer, which was Ian's point.
And what does his height have to do with it?
And Peter Sucliffe was a good lorry driver. Still a nasty bastard regardless. @Chris54ish

Thanks for narrating over every single damn clip. Really helped me understand what was going on 😞
The narrator also lied and distorted what actually happened in the various videos. For instance Izzard was incredibly boorish and kept repeating an inane point Farage had already responded to perfectly simply, but the narrator describes it as though the two of them were engaged in a tit for tat with the audience annoyed at both of them.
I'll thumbs down and move on .. thanks for the warning before I watched 😅

Having been overseas for a fair while, it did help me understand what was going on. (It also helped me to be able to carry on making my dinner.)
Seemed like an effort was made to shoehorn Fox in the list, he certainly wasn't shown saying anything wrong in this example.
You and I would disagree about that assertion of yours.
Too right. Me-again brought it on herself, as most of the world now agrees.

Let's not forget this was someone who snubbed a cigar out in another man's eye. Why is he allowed anywhere near TV?
Millions of kids would have loved to have the talent and opportunities of Joey Barton to play football at the highest level, he had the chance but pissed it away by being an ignorant arrogant A-HOLE, should have been in prison a lot longer.
This was filmed before that incident, but your point stands for many many other reasons !!
What does that have to do with anything? Acts like a prat when he’s in his 20’s, therefore any opinion he ever had about anything ever again is null and void?

Ian made Patel look very very stupid and humiliated her for her ignorant stupidity in public. Bravo.
She is more than capable of doing that to herself. Vile individual
Tbf she doesn’t need much help, she’s good enough at humiliating herself on her own.
Hmm, so darling Hyslop is Ian, and Priti Patel is Patel. Therein, lies your obvious one-sidedness. Yep. But they are now legislating definitions. Homeless, illegal, refugees, illegal. They call on attack on the disabled somehow fair to all. Lending money not a loan, jeez, it’s hard to keep up with the madness. We may as well get rid of dictionaries, thesauruses and definitions. Reality is now fake and fake real.. wow.
That's one where the audience was wrong. The intention was to give the money to everyone and claw it back with a levey on the unit price, so the highest users would pay more, and some of the lowest users would come out in profit. That's quite a progressive tax for the tories.
Barton’s critique on women commentators on men’s football - he said specifically that they make egregious mistakes because they’ve never played.
Ian Hislop is a Hero. He has been pushing many stories that most media forget or don't cover in the first place - including the post office scandal also 20 years ago.
Hislop was an apologist for the 2020 restrictions which have resulted in long term social and psychological problems and are the principal reason no one can afford anything anymore. (Shutting everything down for two years was ALWAYS going to cost.)
@@ThursoBerwick Cost. Yes, always. But not lives, dude, that was the point. You know, lives. Saving them. Being merciful and benevolent. Maybe you heard of it once or twice.
He didn't own Priti Patel, he was simply making the usual, tired arguments about wrongful convictions which are a tiny, tiny percentage. Besides, death penalty would only be handed out in the case of the most gruesome acts including serial kills, terror acts, treason. But the apologists and lovers of a wrecked society will bang on about human rights, the very rights that have been taken away from the hard-working majority who go about their lives peacefully.
@@silkewessels2080 How many lives did it save? For something that was *greatly* exaggerated and didn't affect anyone of working age very much. I know people who got onto drink and drugs because of the isolation (including heroin by the way), others who developed mental health issues and some who are bankrupt. A number of them are no longer with us because of the isolation. On a cost benefit analysis, it doesn't stack up. The people who told us it was a threat were those who benefitted most i.e. large companies with online retail, supermarkets, politicians and civil servants (whose pensions and income was protected)
Ian Hislop is a legend.
Then your opinion of legends is VERY VERY low.
Eddie Izzard embarrassed himself on QT yet only mention Farage? no Dianne Abbott? Ah right, you only pick certain people in line with this channel.

You misrepresented the whole exchange between Farage and Izzard , the audience member told Izzard to " Shut up " because of his continuous interruptions and refusing to let others speak .
Try telling the truth, it's more popular than you'd think .
The question remains, Farage promised he'd leave the country if Brexit went badly So, why is he still here?
The question wasn't asked !
Alternatively I could ask the same of the many who said they were leaving should the British electorate have the temerity to vote the way they should choose .
And given the eschatological disaster promised by the Remainiac cult if we did leave, I'd say it's going rather well( see the recession in Germany the rise of anti EU parties and the open rebellion against EU commision mandates for all the proof any " reasonable person would need)

I thought this was celebrities getting owned? What celebrities?
I genuinely don't understand the #1 slot or why it's there. Fox might have gone off the rails, but trying to say hatred of Markle is 'just racism' is lazy and plain wrong. He was right in what he said, and the response of the audience certainly seemed to be on his side, not hers. So how exactly was that him "getting owned", and why the hell is it at #1??
Also, the woman was a typical plant by the BBC. Fox had the audience on his side completely. We're tired of everything being "racist" - it was great to see this ridiculously lazy tactic backfiring on the BBC at last. The country didn't like Meghan M because of who she is, not her skin colour. Fox 1 Race Grifter 0.
Left wing reporting. They did the same with the Izzard Farage one, it was Izzard who got told to 'shut up' because he wouldn't let anybody speak.
I guess they put him there because he has a bad reputation, and don't really care about what people said in the clip?
I agreed with Fox
And Farage has been proved correct at every level, whereas the 'comedian' has been proved wrong.
This is so funny. We get a pointless commentary over the actual interactions.
That's Watch Mojo for you.
Ian Hislop is an absolute legend, we need people like him running our country!
God forbid.😮
Ian Hislop bought into the 2020 nonsense hook, line and sinker. Now, four years on, many people are barely hanging on economically thanks to the inflation and bankruptcies it's caused, and suffering long term traumas from that period. (Especially a generation of children who may have suffered permanent developmental issues with socialisation etc.)
@@ThursoBerwick you mean the period when there was a heavy global deathtoll from a disease that many are still suffering severe longterm effects from?

IT's an excessive word, I agree, clickbait, but Ian Hislop shuts down everyone when he appears.
Laurence Fox's appearance on QT was brilliant, not getting owned. Unfortunately he has gone off the rails since then but this was not a bad appearance...I remember watching it live - the BBC had brought him on, probably thinking he would be the 'dumb entertainer' fifth panelist, but he turned out to be a well-spoken debater who had the support of half the audience throughout.
Hizza is a wonderful mix of intelligent, informed, scathing, sarcastic, funny and contumelious. Most importantly he does so with neither preference or bias.
He pulls them all apart.
10/10 for the inclusion of ‘contumelious‘. 😎
Hizza was an enabler and an apologist for 2020 restrictions. We are still paying for that hysteria. It's why barely anyone can afford anything anymore.
@@ThursoBerwick yeah, imagine trying to prevent people from dying by implementing long established and proven medical measures?
What a bustard!
@@AdeboFunkyVoodooThat's not what happened is it? You don't do that by keeping intercontinental flights running but stopping people talking to their neighbours. You also don't do it by keeping supermarkets open and having door to door deliveries while shutting small businesses. There is no scientific basis for ANY of those loopholes. Oh, it barely affected anyone under sixty, you know that? None of those overspill units in hospitals were ever used. The hospitals were mostly empty and people couldn't get cancer screening

Yeah but then Joe Barton is generally correct in what he's been saying, unfortunately people who fall apart outside of a safe space just don't like hearing the truth.
The narrator is the most obnoxious.
Lawrence fox didn't get owned the audience member did
Yes. Which is why the lefties are so vitriolic about him.
The fact that he's an out of touch posh boy, who's said some ridiculous things and who's given the impression of having a very public nervous breakdown... hasn't helped either. He had some support until he started making frequent public appearance, putting his foot in it in every other one of those appearances. He's done himself no favours, tbh. Though, of course, it's always easier to blame unspecified, generic 'lefties', 'liberal elites' etc. A kneejerk reaction, that requires no actual thought.
All i saw was someone pull out the race card, just watched something recently that said Megan was a bully to staff members and they had quite a turnover of staff.

Journalists here are not as good as you think. They all fell into line four years ago. Almost no dissenting voices or questioning of what was going on.
Jack Straw (Labour) saying that Nick Griffith's BNP is the only political party that defines itself on race; how times have changed! Labour ; )
The Greg Hands thing was hilarious...the funniest part was that he was acting as if Govt was giving a generous gift of its own money to us, which in fact was money WE had paid in taxes to the govt. The idea that WE had an obligation to pay that £200 'loan' back to the govt was where things got ridiculous and surreal. It was OUR money to begin with Greg FFS 🤣 And the only reason we needed the £200 was because of crazy govt energy policy driving UP prices 🤣🤣
Izzard laughing stock
Farage owned Izzard. Farage's behaviour was calm in the face of Izzard's ranting.
Wait... Barton's comment is as stulid as one would expect but how is it misogynistic.
Can you imagine how some people would’ve interpreted Frogmore Cottage if Meghan was French?
Ian Hislop is the best guest. He's well informed and not afraid to call out anyone when they are trying to bullshit, regardless of what part of the political divide they are on.
Lawrence Fox was spot on.
Nick Griffin was actually more moderate than suella braverman
This narrator clearly has his own bias agenda.
Yeah, which was put aside when the script was recorded.
So Farage was right then, and Izzard completely missed the point, as always (Farage isn't "against immigration" obviously....). And.......?
As editor of Private Eye it is Hislop's job to find an "angle" to question everything in politics.
Did he do so in 2020? No, he mocked any dissent as did his magazine. When they were most needed they failed to deliver. Now, four years on, we are dealing with the economic and social mess that left. An NHS which barely works and unaffordable living standards. Plus governments and councils who now think they have carte blanche to restrict the public in every aspect.
That was a good analogy by Barton.
You got the Laurence Fox one the wrong way round, the audience member was the racist in that instance but you cut that bit out.
Meghan Markle is only one quarter black. Her first driving licence and her actors card stated she was Caucasian, and she remained "Caucasian" until it suited her to play the race card. I had not heard the Fox clip before, and always considered him an obnoxious sh1t - but in this instance he was spot on, and the audience member calling him out as racist was indeed the racist
Yes, what Lawrence is saying there - and I don't know the broader topic being discussed - is entirely true. I noticed that the national sport in the UK is not soccer (sorry, football), but accusing people of racism. Fox is right to say that it is happening all the time there, to the extent that it is now also boring.
Same with Hislop. Won’t ever mention the more contentious issues that people really care about.
Thank Goodness for Ian Hislop he can go straight from Straight to Satire and nail an argument...
When I see “Mojo” I know it’s a monologue by the the narrator, and nothing about the subject at hand.
I didn't see anyone get owned here LOL
Why does the narrator constantly talk over all the clips.
Because they do that on Watch Mojo all the time.

The invitation to Nick Griffin was a pivot point for Question Time. Yes, he was rightly called out for his appalling views, but it created drama and increased viewing figures. As a result, we've seen 'controversial', often right wing, figures invited repeatedly irrespective of their and their parties' representation in UK politics. It turned a once serious political programme into a Jerry Springer-style spectacle.

The lies about inheritance tax need addressed.
1. The £325k is in addition to £175k if you own a property. This means it is £500k.
2. If you are married or in a civil partnership then spouses can transfer these limits therefore giving £1m in assets total (after deducting debts).
3. What needs to be addressed is the limit not changing with inflation.
4. The tax does not impact 96% of people. It is unpopular because the richest in society have pursued this issue in the media.
That’s wrong. The limit is 325 regardless of any property
No one owns Nigel farage!!
