Great result, the colours never fully matched from factory and it will be plenty good enough to give someone some affordable fun. Reality is that it will likely end up in a ditch again at some point, that is just what they invite you to do :)
This channel is by far the most realistic salvage channel, and the fact they are local to me makes it even better. All the best to you 2 fellas - brilliant stuff👍🏻
Great video Rob / Chris- can I just say that Chris,s quietness belies the actual skill the man posesses! Very unassuming but that lad can do anything- and he does it bloody well. Well done Rob for gelling it all together- you both make the whole thing work.
Rob, you need to do a video when you get the wheels back of a test drive, these things are just crazy mad. Try not to smile when you plant your foot down. You don't need to drive "fast" its just the acceleration on these is just ridiculous, but great fun. You'll probably be able to buy it back in a few months time when the roads get wet and icy again !! :)
Chris’s plethora of tools amazes me! From what’s in the woodwork shed to the car repair shop, is there anything that he can’t do? I have a sneaky feeling that there’ll be plenty more dotted around but understandably it’s not for our eyes, he deserve his privacy after all. Another great episode lads, loving the new format 👍🏼👍🏼
I bet Chris could turn his magic on the old front bumper to bring a large portion of wonga rather than chucking in the skip guys , great result , the next owner will love the work you 2 have done on it , well done 💪💪👍👍
Love a fast Ford "old Ford's never die, they just go faster" the orange is fantastic colour, looks great from any angle in your video. Brilliant channel, been watching for a couple years now.
This is my favourite colour car you’ve done. It’s such a great change from all the grey, white and black cars on the roads today. I’ve loved following the build on this thanks for making the videos.
Didn't quite understand your bit about setting off airbags by mistake Rob, are you saying knocking or hammering stuff can set them off? Nice job, great looking result!
Great work being done. 👍 Missed all what chris said about the pallet wood with no mic. If chris doesnt want to be clipping on a mic on his jumper all the time maybe something like Al from the skid factory channel has would suit. He has a clup on one on his hat. Seen as chris is almost always wearing a hat that would suit better. Chris always has such useful tips and tricks, shame to miss them..
I had 2 Tangerine Screamers, with the newer front end, a 64 and a 67 plate. Such a head turner and despite them both being the diesel version they weren't sluggish either. The missus cried when the last one went! Beautiful cars, the yellow they started painting them after the shape change just wasn't the same. Someone is getting a bargain there, wish I had the moolah handy and space on the drive!!
That's the way to do it!!! What a nice little profit, and a really nice car at the end of the day, well done guys. If you want that yellow, have a look at a Lotus. More please.
The ST is a cool fast and funny to drive car. And that colour with the pearl clear coat has that effect where depending of the light source position changes colour. Great result
It’s Saturday, it’s 1pm and it’s crackajack!…Opps I mean Salvage Rebuilds..great video guys, I would have Chris as my apprentice carpenter and joiner anytime, I must say Rob the yellow/orange is growing on me too. Have a great weekend.
Appreciate the airbag/battery tip. I've worked on my own cars for years and got lazy with disconnecting the battery because it didn't even occur to me there were other issues than being inadvertently zapped
While you’re in here playing around I’ll get back to work. Rob sawyers and coopers are real trades too. That car is a color you will love or not but always says wow when it buzzes by. The way the pearl and flake in the paint flip is great Your subscribers are the best thanks Gentlemen
Superb job in getting the ST back to original. Definitely the best colour they did in this model. I remember hearing that Ford really struggled to get the colour matching on these, even the white ones. Particularly between the plastic bumpers and the metal panels, straight out of the factory.
Looks great Rob… 👍🏻 That colour does look different every angle you look at do I wouldn’t worry about it, for a 12 Reg it looks great even with the odd expected blemish. Hope we see another ST on the channel soon mate 👍🏻
Chameleon Is what I would call it Rob and that may be the word you were looking for. Well done to you both for such a quick turn around and thank you to the subscriber for coming up with the parts in colour. Trying to match that paint would have been a real pain. The car sounds nice and looks nice now. Thanks Rob and Chris for another great video. 👍👍
Nice result getting the bits in colour 👌 thing is Rob with the little chips and marks.. It's a 10 year old car, if people were looking at one on a pitch it'd likely have similar marks here and there, there's only so far you can go with the repair, and as Chris said with that colour it'd end up being a full paint! Thing with flippy pearly paint you're going to get variances in the colour... even Ford couldn't get them spot on from the factory!! Looks spot on, and a nice repair 👌 Enjoy your weekend guys 👍
That was such a bonus getting those panels in colour. In the daylight I don't think it was a bad match. Quite like the colour although think I'd prefer something more restrained personally. Great turnaround on this one and fairly straightforward in comparison to some of your bigger projects. As usual its up for a bargain price I'm sure it won't be with you for long!
Came out nice guys. When you drive it Rob, remember you need a baseball cap on back to front, hold the steering wheel with your right hand at 'ten to ten' and hang over the handbrake to gear-lever area with your upper body. It helps weight distribution and handling
Another great repair guys 👍 you can't be anything but happy with that colour match from pre-painted panels..been a car sprayer for nearly 40yrs and manufacturers just love to make life hard for us 😂
I have a focus in iceberg blue which is a premium colour the same as Tangerine scream fantastic colours but look different in daylight and night time great work again 👍
Fantastic work as always guys, you have rescued and given a new lease of life to a gorgeous and rare car - well done! I sure hope the new owner looks after it. Also - the video and sound quality with the microphones is excellent now - won't be long before you are approached by Channel 4 or ITV and you will go all showbiz on us! £££££££££££
What a car and what a result with only needing bolt on bits and getting parts in colour. Wish I had the spare money as I'd definitely be interested. Great job Rob and Chris.
What a great video , you and chris are great at turning these cars around. Chris is so good at what he does and you rob have your good points ,like going out and getting bits. People who watch these videos like to see around your garage. What amazes me with all your expertize you still can not fix a wall clock , come ome guys, get it sorted...
Tangerine dream! Very slick turnaround with a little help from your friends (subscribers). Lovely motor back to stock ready for somebody to enjoy. Keep em coming lads 👍🇬🇧😎
In one panel shop I worked in they did an escort looked perfect match, bloke signed the satisfaction note, came back after the weekend asking the boss to come and look at in the dark under the street lights. it looked black instead of red. Something to do with the paint pigment and the sodium street light. Got the paint people on the phone new batch of tinter and it was fine after a re-paint lol
Great job and don't fret about the colour, they look different from every angle. Not my taste but, as someone has said already, it will be in another ditch somewhere before long!! Good to see you made some worthwhile money on it and it will soon be out the door. Great piece again, thanks.
Pearlescent colours are mission impossible as you've already experienced but in natural light perfectly exceptable . And everyones going to be happy . Thanks Guys .
I agree the colours do show a slight difference. Back in the day my mate had a Bond Bug same colour yellow and that was the same different shades all over. Had a total respray in the end. We both think as it had been sitting outside for a few years it bleached the colour. Just loved the video think yellow is a nightmare to blend in.
Good result with the bumper & wing in colour even with a very slight shade difference always a difficult colour to match up as you said a full respray would be the only way to get it the same so you did brilliant with matching it nice quick turn around & fir a bloody good sale price 👍👍👍
Another fantastic job. That colour looks a nightmare, what a bit of luck you go those 3 bits in ostensibly the same colour, saved a heap of time and money. It’s going to be a great car and a bargain. More like this please I hear you say.
Its' an art thing Rob, everything is affected by the light and colours they are surrounded by, an art book will give you a much fuller explanation, Hope this helps,
Hello both, so pleased that you have been able to fully recover this car and put it for sale at such a reasonable price!! The offer of those panels was great! Besy wishes from Lincolnshire
Don't worry about perfectly matched paint, its second hand, I have done the same quick turn arounds ins silver without painting. Well done for what it is, should move quiclky onced groomed.
Great work Rob and Chris, the car looks brilliant,to find the parts you had would cost money with the colour.but the results are worth it.the paint always look different in the light.
I am so envious of all your space to keep things, I mean just look at the length of the bench in Chris' wood shop...one day, one day I'll achieve that here in Portugal! I'll console myself tht it's a little warmer here in the meantime. Great video as always, thanks guys! 👍👍👍
Always worth watching as usual. Re your comment about the insurance company not coming to assess the car, I suspect the owner should count himself lucky, since any undeclared mods/additions would result in them not paying out. And I wonder if the paint colour is a play on the seventies German band Tangerine Dream? Not that I'm a time served car painter, but I remember, with metalflake paint certainly, that temperature can cause quite major changes in shade etc of the finished product, as the speed that the paint dries alters the angle of the metal flakes, in that they're essentially standing up when sprayed, and slowly lie down as it's drying, so very tricky to get a match as the light hits it very differently if it's not replicated identically ( so pretty impossible).
Great video again guys it looks mint n sounded lovely with that exhaust on, that's a strange paint colour every angle u seemed to look at it it looked like a slightly different shade youd never match that up either Chris is right you would end up with a full respray
Nice one guys I'm pretty sure you could fall in a pile and come out smelling of roses somedays, how lucky was that getting parts in color. I remember all the comments from guys in the first video saying it'd be a pig to match with fresh paint and basically good luck with that. As that color goes it wouldn't of been my first choice as it stands out to much for what I'd usually buy, but it does seem to grow on a person like you've said yourself . I hope the guy that was saying he wanted one this color in the other video's got Instagram, and he can buy it when it's listed. Take care guys.
Hi Rob, how does the very skilled and multi talented Chris manage when your not there, I only mention this because of the invaluable advice to put his foot on the clutch to start the car 😂😂😂
It's Saturday!......it's midday!..... it's Salvage rebuilds with the boys!
Tri-coat paints are nearly impossible to matchup You guys did a great job and the viewer who reached out with the parts was a Superman.
I've got an orange mk2 in orange and a st mk3.5 diesel st, many companies can match the colours up now, on the forums their is loads.

Well done gentlemen. And great that a subscriber helped you out too with the in-colour panels. Very happy for you.
What is that Chris can’t do, he is a carpenter aswell now, wish had some of his skills. Really enjoyed this chaps thank you very much!
Top job done as usual. Great to see another future classic car rescued.
I bet Chris could turn his magic on the old front bumper to bring a large portion of wonga rather than chucking in the skip guys , great result , the next owner will love the work you 2 have done on it , well done 💪💪👍👍
Chris is right you would end up painting the whole car. Great result with the car, well saved
Great video, Lads. have a good weekend, everyone.
Love a fast Ford "old Ford's never die, they just go faster" the orange is fantastic colour, looks great from any angle in your video. Brilliant channel, been watching for a couple years now.
Getting those parts in colour was just unbelievable, car look great

Getting bits in this colour is like winning the lottery. Love this car. Well done lads
Hello Rob and Chris, an excellent result and a nice little profit. Thank you for taking the time to upload another video. Ged.
I had 2 Tangerine Screamers, with the newer front end, a 64 and a 67 plate. Such a head turner and despite them both being the diesel version they weren't sluggish either. Hopefully the desk will look alright!! With Chris doing the work it will be mint !!
Lad at work has this exact car and the colour does change as you go round and considering it is 11 years old it is in really good nick 👍
That Focus ST turned out lovely and very nice numbers. Awesome work guys 😃👍
Great to see a performance ford getting the SRUK treatment. Looks great 👍
That's the way to do it!!! What a nice little profit, and a really nice car at the end of the day, well done guys. If you want that yellow, have a look at a Lotus. More please.
Rob and Chris the car repair guys coming to your tv screen soon you two deserve it
Absolute bargain 6.500 and what a beautiful motor 👌👌👌
The ST is a cool fast and funny to drive car. And that colour with the pearl clear coat has that effect where depending of the light source position changes colour. Great result
Bargain that. One of the best all rounder hot hatches out there. I’ve got one but now I want this one too
It’s Saturday, it’s 1pm and it’s crackajack!…Opps I mean Salvage Rebuilds..great video guys, I would have Chris as my apprentice carpenter and joiner anytime, I must say Rob the yellow/orange is growing on me too. Have a great weekend.

Spot on that.I have the puma ST but have always loved them focus ST in that colour.
While you’re in here playing around I’ll get back to work. Rob sawyers and coopers are real trades too. That car is a color you will love or not but always says wow when it buzzes by. The way the pearl and flake in the paint flip is great Your subscribers are the best thanks Gentlemen
yellow is the new red (?)
very quick 😉 and clean...
as always thnx for showin
it's done rite fellas...
Nice little motor well done you two again for getting it out of the door.
“You’ve only gotta whack something the wrong way and bang goes you’re airbags!” - absolute Rob comedy gold! 😂😂😂
Superb job in getting the ST back to original. Definitely the best colour they did in this model. I remember hearing that Ford really struggled to get the colour matching on these, even the white ones. Particularly between the plastic bumpers and the metal panels, straight out of the factory.
Result Rob, what a bonus finding colour parts.
Looks great Rob… 👍🏻 That colour does look different every angle you look at do I wouldn’t worry about it, for a 12 Reg it looks great even with the odd expected blemish. Hope we see another ST on the channel soon mate 👍🏻

The car sounds nice and looks nice now. Thanks Rob and Chris for another great video. 👍👍
Chris hit it right on the head you can't chase the colour full respray required great result 👍
Get that white wing sold on. £100. Great motor Rob and Chris.
Great video gents 👍 Your stuff really is just a joy to watch. Thank you 👍🚗🚙🚘
Nice result getting the bits in colour 👌 thing is Rob with the little chips and marks.. Great turn around, lads. And it looks really good for a 12 plate, especially for £6.5k.👍
Perfectly acceptable for the type of paint it is, good job guys
Another great repair guys 👍 you can't be anything but happy with that colour match from pre-painted panels..been a car sprayer for nearly 40yrs and manufacturers just love to make life hard for us 😂
I have a focus in iceberg blue which is a premium colour the same as Tangerine scream fantastic colours but look different in daylight and night time great work again 👍
Honestly Chris your making us all feel inadequate, is there anything this man can’t do apart from not grabbing the loose change in cars 😂😂😂😂
You had a result finding the parts you required in colour as it's a pig to match due to it being a 3 stage paint. Keep up the great work. 👍
What a car and what a result with only needing bolt on bits and getting parts in colour. Wish I had the spare money as I'd definitely be interested. Great job Rob and Chris.

What a cracking result for everyone, great profit and someones getting a crazy cheap ST.
Ford escort rs was a beast. Fast ford's every boys dream. Throw it around and it never fails.
That was a top notch video. Love the quick turnaround ones. Hard and fast SAS styley.❤️✌️👊
Fantastic turnaround loved this series

Wow looks really well, the wheels would look good in the graphite gray in stead of the silver
Good result with the bumper & wing in colour even with a very slight shade difference always a difficult colour to match up as you said a full respray would be the only way to get it the same so you did brilliant with matching it nice quick turn around & fir a bloody good sale price 👍👍👍
Well done guys the colour is growing on me love these in the estate version looks a lovley motor 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Nice mate, you repaired this focus st3 this my favorite model
Another fantastic job.
That colour looks a nightmare, what a bit of luck you go those 3 bits in ostensibly the same colour, saved a heap of time and money.
It’s going to be a great car and a bargain.
More like this please I hear you say.
An amazing number of Man sheds you have there Chris. Wood room , workshop probably hidden away a Market Garden greenhouse. A retiree utopia.
Nice job again Boys 👏 I had a MK2 MEXICO in signal amber very similar colour. Like lots of others say wish I still had it now. 🤔👍
Hi rob and Chris, great job on the wee focus looks great, from marty in Belfast northern Ireland God bless
Chinned up wheels , what a fantastic phrase 😀
I love the way you stick to your guns and Instagram
Don't worry about perfectly matched paint, its second hand, I have done the same quick turn arounds ins silver without painting.

Nice to see a workshop with a radial arms saw Chris !

Everything on the car was listed with insurance
Great video Rob and Chris. Park it up against a wall when someone buys it 😁 tricky colour to match its back for the road again.
Chris is actually a genius a master of all craft 😂👌
Great video again guys it looks mint n sounded lovely with that exhaust on, that's a strange paint colour every angle u seemed to look at it it looked like a slightly different shade youd never match that up either Chris is right you would end up with a full respray
Great film. Nice to see that work out well. A great car for whoever is lucky enough to buy it
Looks two tone in the sun great outcome as usual 👍👍👍
Great job as ever and saved a lot of hassle and angst in the paint shop.
Result 😄👍
Car looks brilliant guys ,will sell straight away ,well done guys

Result innnnn colour get innnnnn!!!!!! Few bottles of jd & some pepsi’s 😍 those touches 👂🏽👈🏽 Gr8 turn round!!! 👍🏾
Hi rob an Chris been subscribed from early days, it would be nice to see more cars like this on the channel…
Keep up the good work.
Is there anything that Chris can’t do 😂 the man is amazing and let’s not forget about rob great team work guys
Wow, Chris is such a multi craftsman.
That looks amazing well done guy's the colour always looks different from a different angle remember it's a 11 year old car 👍
Good job lads, you are never going to match that up short of a complete respray. Out the door with it, it's a sound car for someone.
Hi Rob, how does the very skilled and multi talented Chris manage when your not there, I only mention this because of the invaluable advice to put his foot on the clutch to start the car 😂😂😂
I definitely think you could make more on this. There are much worse unrecorded ones around!
