Thank you for trusting us to share your journey with. I have PTSD and I can understand how challenging it can be to open up about mental health and having to deal with the stigmas that go with it. I tend to keep my diagnosis private until I feel comfortable enough sharing it with people outside of my small circle because of how PTSD is portrayed in the movies and on TV.
Please dont feel like you need to justify to anyone why you arent comfortable sharing all your personal parts of your story or life. You do not have to tell people anything you do not want to. If they arent happy not knowing then they do not respect boundaries and that is their problem, not yours.

Your an amazing person yes trauma is hidden and not understood and it can appear at the most unexpected moments but until you become aware of these and understand how to cope you can work through them. Keep believing in yourself 🥰

So proud of you first for reaching out to professionals for help and secondly for sharing your journey. It's cathartic for you and so helpful for others. I wish the best for you on your recovery. You are very strong. The U.S. Mental Health Crisis number is 988.

I am so proud of you. Your speaking out will help others. You are so genuine in your desire to help others. You are not an attention seeker as are many who share to "help." In my case my mother is the one who fought battles daily with her emotions. I was unable to ask for help or Mama would threaten to harm herself. Being alone in it was the worst part. I am so proud of you.

Thank God for your husband. Not many men would stay. Please don't stop meds. I know people on bipolar meds who have. They think they don't need them anymore. You've come along way. You don't have to share everything. So glad you're getting the help you need. That's what counts

Thank you for sharing. Always make any med changes with your doctor's approval. One day at a time. You don't have to share everything if you don't feel comfortable doing it. It is your journey and I'm sure it's helping others also!

Your and amazing person. Let the therapy and meds work. It will change your life. Please know you need to stay on your meds. Cause if you go off. It will hurt you. So stay on them.

I have a question .. I’m currently talking with a lady that’s bipolar .. She lost her job and just went completely distant from me. We don’t talk as much anymore and I’m consistently hitting her up checking up on her. She calls but rarely nowadays. When she calls she tells me what she did those days she wasn’t talking to me such as going out to parties , drinking , smoking and going to get together .. It’s tricky because normally she would tell me beforehand but she just doesn’t tell me at all. I wanna talk to her about it but I feel like it’s just gonna start an argument or she’ll just hang the phone up on me. At times she does block me when she’s really upset & it’s over little things. She started drinking and smoking & when she wants to go to sleep “She wants to go to sleep”. Do you guys think she’s on her meds? I wouldn’t know because when I ask her if she’s BP1 or BP2 she would ignore it .. What are you guys thoughts?

Regardless of having a disorder, if someone treats you like that they aren’t worth your time. You deserve someone who treats you well.
