Hi there. Loved your brevi! Just FYI as you mentioned trying to reproduce it without success, the brevi cultivars that we get in stores or nurseries are slightly weaker than the original plants in New Guinea. They will almost never grow from stem cuttings. They need to be reproduced by cutting a large well hydrated leaf and put into water for rooting. Even so, success rate is 50/50
The one I got was an unrooted cutting and I just stuck it in a solo cup with some sphagnum moss at the bottom and added tap water. There it sat for months and grew roots from the stem. The whole cutting slowly declined as I wasn't all that attentive to the water level in the cup. Eventually I potted it up now and moved it into high humidity environment and it has taken off! I have had success rooting from leaf and from the stem cutting.

Hi There, thanks for the great video on this plant. I usually never find good content for this plant. But Hvae ever had the problem of the lea edges drying out for this plant. If yes, would you happen to know what may be the reason ?

Yes! Cane begonias are so hard to root!!! Some plants just want to die 😂

I don't do anything special for this one, I give it a support pole, water when almost dry and fertilise every second watering 😊
