Prequels, sequels, midquels and interquels no more. How about something original!!!!!

Hard to do anything original these days when every idea has been pretty much done and even the most original stuff are inspired or branched from other ideas. I rather have some of these then a remake/reboot and you need to have pretty good reasons and craft to make those and so far, most of them overall for decades (mostly the last one) were unworthy. The integrity of the original isn't challenged or replaced with a prequel, sequel, interquel, midquel, etc. but even that has to be made with a strong purpose people can be invested in wanting. That's not the case here though. The Terry character wasn't really that important from the original Rosemary's Baby to expand on and all we got was Rosemary's story told over since she went through the same thing, so this was just a waste. They also done some inconsistencies since Terry's role here doesn't line up with her role in the original movie. Ugh, this was basically The First Omen all over again which was another pointless prequel built on a rather cut and dry detail from the original that didn't need a whole movie to expand on it and also did some retconning with what we learned in those movies with Damien's mother being the jackal now being changed to the father and now having a twin sister out there somewhere. Like what??? Moral of the story is, if you're gonna do a prequel, interquel, sequel or in rare cases even a remake, make sure there's some strong purpose behind it and not just half-assed/lazy nonsense thrown together to build off of a brand name and make a quick buck. This one surely could have been left shelved.
