@@talhakhan842 yes any hair loss on the head is DHT your testosterone is high and is killing the hair on the head. It’s weird because it’s good for growing hair on your arms legs chest face but kills the hair on the head. Finasteride helps lower the DHT levels and blocks them why’ll minoxidil helps fix the hair follicle and regrow it. The fixing process is what takes some time 2 to 4 months before you’ll notice hair on the head. Finasteride can help keep the hair that’s grown and minoxidil helps stimulate growth.
Guys i have minoxidil grown hairs and just started topical fin 5 days ago, ive not been able to put on minoxidil twice a day will I lose all my minoxidil grown hairs or are my follicles stronger and ill keep those hairs?
Why wouldn't someone give finasteride and minoxidil a shot before grafting their scalp? Unless you got a Peter Boyle scalp going isn't it worth a measly few hundred bucks a year?
People are scared they will be one of the few people who develop side effects. My father is taking it and it has worked wonders for him. It only works in the crown though, it isnt that effective in reversing frontal baldness
I mean even it works. You kinda like chemically chastrating yourself. Im exagerating but there could be less sex drive and potency issues as side effects. Not always, but play chances?
No, do not stop taking your Finasteride. You need that to keep what you can and get a HT to brush up on the hairline/crown a bit. They cost about $3K in Turkey
@Basedlander Because if you do not take Finasteride, DHT will continue to miniaturize your Native hairs. The transplanted areas are DHT resistant (not DHT *proof* either), but the rest of your Native hairs that aren’t transplanted will miniaturize without Finasteride. Joe Rogan is an example of this, as you can see his FUT scar on the back of his bald head. Rogan says himself even though the transplanted hairs grew, it still looked rather thin and the rest of his hair didn’t last much longer either. DHT must be blocked in order to effectively prevent hairloss of Native hairs but also to provide better environment for the transplanted hairs.
@Basedlander because if your prone to hair loss, it will continue to go recede and the transplant you got will stay, almost like being bald af in the back of your head but having a good hairline, trust me. Im 24 and i got a hair transplant in miami florida a year or so ago and im still noticing my hair thin and recede beyond the transplant, im going to dermatologist to hopefully get prescribed finasteride to stop hair loss then use little treatments such as minoxidil/ another hair transplant to get my hairline back thick and full, also would have helped if i wasn’t in a rush to get this procedure done, got 1500 grafts not realizing how thin and unatural it looks because you can see every transplanted hair almost like it was stitched on my head in a perfect pattern and its not thick at all, we are born with 10,000 grafts in our hairline area, take that into consideration with keeping your hair loss type in mind bro
@Basedlander depends on how many grafts you put down. Lets say there roughly 100,000 hairs and you lost 65% of that between your 30’s and 40’s , how can you be so sure if you just so happen to get enough money to have that much coverage, the other percent of hairs that didnt fall out till after your 40’s leaving you with only transplated hair left. Also you will be over harvested on the back of your head just a thought bro
I'm sorry Jake, but I am a little suspicious of these results. If they are actually growing their hair back with drugs only, no hair powder, then I think it's because the drugs are lowering their testosterone levels. As men, we want high testosterone levels, so I wouldn't want to lower my testosterone. Also, there are too many damn side effects. The first image with the dude taking RU-xxx, a research chemical, yeah....I don't trust taking research chemicals that are not approved and studied enough. Very few people have side effects from finasteride or dutasteride. Many of the people reporting haven't even used the drugs or haven't been using them long enough. If you were to have sides when starting they usually subside after your body adapts. FYI finasteride and dutasteride actually raise Testosterone. It lowers DHT
Fin raises your test levels by about 15% on average as the 70% of dht that is no longer being converted is now split between estrogen and additional test. It's like a fraction more estrogen but mostly test. Less dht and more estrogen are a great combination to stop and even reverse hairloss
