The Waltons episodes are found on The Hallmark channel.... This episode I missed but I loved this show! It was a staple of American TV for years.... That kiss !! Man that kiss was earned !! Those are the kind of kisses that lead to the miracle of life !!
@katesgram He sounds very Virginian to me. He says "oot" and "hoos" That type of speech extends to the Carolina coast. as well. Also, if he was a narrator, he probably did not want something too heavy to distract. from the story. But really, compare his accent to someone from New York or Pennsylvania. Its very smooth and drawling. And thats how a lot of Virginians sound. Not over the top. Most Southerners do not sound like what people think.
@VASINGER I was always struck by Earl Hamner's accent(or should I say lack of it?) He didn't sound to me like he had a Virginia accent. Do you know of people down there who sound like he does? Or did his change since he moved away right out of college?
I am sitting here watching this episode right now but I do not understand why Linda Purl's character had such an exaggerated southern accent if she was supposed to be Curt's sister- Curt didn't talk like that at all.
Linda Purl was in a movie with Shaun Cassidy. Called “Like Normal People.”. They played a mentally handicapped couple. I’ve been around a lot of mentally handicapped people and Linda Purl definitely exaggerated the voice of that character as well.
@katesgram im from Virginia, and in the South, some family members will have very thick Southern accents, while others wont . Her accent, of course, is not very authentic. Surprsingly, , Mama Walton Olivia has a very authentic sound.
Back in the 70's there was a show with bloopers and many TV shows would participate. If you could tell them the blooper, you'd win a prize! Little House on the Prairie used to have lots of them.

Is that Charlize Theron or however you spell her name? That forehead. I looked this up to find a song named after myself and so far I can't stand any of them lol. My name is undedicatable.
Although I liked her singing voice, I could not tolerate her talking voice and that accent. Hard to pull off that she was Curt's sister, too. I can hardly believe this gal- Linda Purl- is the same girl who played Alisha Hanover in The Spoilers S3E9, the NY socialite who was in love with Jon-boy.
He was a real talent on that show.
🌟💖
beautiful ❤

Yes, more like deep south ⬇️
@@courtneyfan9 Well, maybe her acting coach was a bargain price.😂

Agreed. However, Linda's accent resembled the old deep south ⬇️ more...

VxSapphire Yep. Same curse. Almost all of them are Vanessa replacing another name. Grime's was borderline unbearable.
what is undedicatable ???????
