    1. Student need focused feedback early and often and they should be taught how to assess their own learning
    2. The most effective assessment addresses problem directed questions that faculty ask themselves
    3. Course assessment an intellectual challenge and therefore motivating for the faculty
    Guys help me to understand this huhu

    I'm starting at a junior college majoring in early childhood education. Towards the end of my associate's the major offers 2 or 3 special education classes. I ultimately want my masters in special education. In my state you only need a bachelor's but I'm trying to get as many certificates as I can. What did you major in at your university? Liberal arts? Communications?

    I also have a problem, ".. especially sentences. They don't stand for anything.". How can explain how I feel?" Well, writing was my identity. I'll keep trying. It only took me 6 years to learn how to read. It makes me laugh. Yes, I can read again, but it took a year or so. That's the same one who edited my youtube videos, like she saved children from me.

    I have learning difficulties and life problems. They've gotten worse along with my life. I also have schizophrenia. I'm hoping by having teachers like you and influencers that have gone through special ed, even for a few years, to break through the ignorance there. I don't know how many teachers you've had to fight. The parents are even better, "Why does she get attention when average kids are struggling?" How fair is fair? I've had even more fun as an adult in the real world. Seriously, predators are drawn to us. I wish we'd get some sort of scholarship there for some sort of training to avoid the pits of Hell. I ended up in the military and was happy, but yeah. I can't escape the raptors. I'm in an adult facility now. It's not "fair" because I pay with tax dollars. Let's see how Jeris Johnson likes to be chased around, not being allowed to sleep without fear. They never asked me if I was disabled when I joined, and I worked prior and now can't work, hold your rage, right? I also have enjoyed, "It's okay to discriminate against you because it's about ability, not skin color." We get used to this.

    Is it possible that my major in university which is Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Mathematics is credited to special education? I am planning to the a units for Special Education. Thanks for the answer.

      It depends on the state but most states that I know of want a degree and a student teaching in special ed. At least in Massachusetts or New England you would not be able to get credited

    Do all self contained special education classroom settings have paras?

    • @thatspecialeducator1061

      I have yet to see a self-contained without one but it may happen. The budget may not have enough for more staff

    How do you balance iep goals and the requirement to expose the kids to a modified general ed curriculum based on their various grade level?

    • @thatspecialeducator1061
      @thatspecialeducator1061  4 года назад +2

      I have time in my day where I focus on my IEP goals and I also have short times in the day where I focus on each subject and try to present modified curriculum that focuses more on fun and engaging activities. Those "modified" times I use to teach other skills and it actually has been awesome! The students are learning social and emotional skills and then they are able to concentrate on their IEP goal time better. Hopes that is helpful

      fergusont83 not sure what state you’re in, but in NJ Rutgers has a great sped online program. Start with your local state schools first. It’s cheaper and geared towards your state certification guidelines.
