Wow, I am so jealous of your team for having you. I’m a first year self contained SPED teacher and my team is great but it only really consist of other sped teachers and Diags who do paperwork. Everyone feels spread out thin. The idea of a work life balance feels unattainable this year which I kinda came prepared for as a first year teacher but I guess I underestimated the extent of it.

I want to give you a sincere compliment. I have been watching your videos and LOVE them! I have been a special education teacher for 15 years and you inspire me! I am so happy to see that you are an administrator, what a great gift to your school district. You are really talented. I LOVE how you have broken everything down over the years in your videos on how to do the nitty gritty of our profession. I have been studying to be an administrator since 2019 in a PhD program in Special Education Leadership. It honestly has been difficult for me to wrap my head around how to transfer what we learned as a teacher into being an administrator. I hope that you can continue to do these videos because they are so good! Your videos feel like a conversation with you, except I can watch and rewatch your video so that I can glean more valuable information from you. I absolutely love that. you are so interactive with the special education staff with checking in with them and supporting them!! My research topic is on teacher observation of special education teachers. With a focus on special educators evaluating special education teachers-rather than principals or administrators who have never been a special education teacher. THANK YOU !!

This was really interesting to see what admin does during the day, since I only really see them when they are observing or in our SpEd meetings. You inspire me to try to Vlog my Special Educator day now! What camera do you use?

Congratulations on your role 👏👏 I love your videos. I'm going through the process of advocating for my child to be a part of the special education program at his potential school. He's 3 and I'm learning a lot about IEP's on your channel

I just came across your channel and your videos are so helpful. I was wondering how you kept your classroom from being destroyed when you were teaching. I love your setup but in my class there are kids who climb and rip things and eat things lol - I’m just curious if you had any of those behaviors and if so how you kept things from being ruined all the time.

Does your district require you formally observe teachers and provide email feedback or it like informal and you can sit down with the teachers and collab? My supervisor said she doesn’t come randomly to watch us. Just wondering!

    Hi,
Do you ever get pulled for help with discipline or other things outside of doing paperwork etc?
If so, how do you balance and get back on track with interruptions?
