- The Mercedes-Benz GLA has now represented the entry-level SUV from the Stuttgart brand for two generations, and with its renewal aims to fix a few wrongs that the first model had in its character. For one it outright addresses the interior quality issues that plagued most if not all GLA models, and then it goes ham on offering more space for people and things than the outgoing GLA would have only dreamed about.
But with a Renault-sourced engine up front and a double-clutch automatic gearbox in the middle, has it changed enough to address the woeful driving experience of the outgoing model?

review GLC please
We did, two years ago. The only change to the GLC since then is the offering of the GLC300e PHEV. We see no need to review the model, until the new-generation GLC arrives later this year.

A nice looking vehicle, good review. 👍🏼 Spoilt by a French engine. This is now off my shopping list.
To be fair, it's quite impressive to get over 160hp/250nm from a 1.3l turbo engine, which is already more powerful than a typical non-performance oriented 2.0l naturally aspirated unit.
Definitely better than BMW's entry-level 1.5l 3 cylinder turbo with inferior power/torque + engine vibrations.
