And fiddle!
dont forget classical--the most difficult of styles--i have no doubt that roy could have mastered barrios and villa lobos no problem..........
you left out the Fiddle.
Roy was a true legend of a musician and an amazing guitarist.
The man was just as much a pleasure to talk to as he was to listen to
This is extreme showing off where no one alive could copy what he just did with a guitar. This was truelly Roy in his prime. WOW !!!
I saw him live once. Unbelievable. The best of the best -- can play any thing better than anyone - rock, country, blues, etc.
It doesn't get any better than that... Roy Clark is a true virtuoso and a very nice person as well. He is truly a class act!
To everyone saying that they just quit playing, please keep playing, make each time a tribute to this mans talent. i sit in awe of it and am humbled by how humble he is about it as well.
Not only did he nail this rendition, he captured the drama of the piece. He made the guitar sound like a machine gun and he's just some old country boy who picked up a guitar well before there was an internet. Hats off to Roy Clark, and absolute master of the guitar.
I have watched this video many times, every time I hear it and watch his hands move so fast all I can say is WOW!!! Roy Clark is the finest guitar player ever!
As an African American growing up in the 60's I used to watch Hee Haw ALL THE TIME. Nothing else on the TV.
Roy was brilliant on the strings.
Okay, great...but why point our your race? Who cares? Music is color blind. Let it go.
Quite possibly the best guitarist ever. Hands down. An amazing talent.
What!? No way. How can you say that with a straight face....err.....keyboard?
Rip roy Clark.i will always remember his smile that seemed to be a mile long
I remember being shocked how good this was when I saw it in the 80s,Roy Clark was bad ass on guitar and Banjo
Roy Clark is a legend. I remember seeing Charro perform this. blew me away.
Absolutely beautiful!
Roy Clark was one of the greatest musicians of all time! May his memory live on forever!
How that thing stayed in tune after 2:17 is one of the greatest mysteries of all time, Stompin' Tom Connors used to knock his low E string out of tune almost every song and he never played that hard.
How can he play that fast and make it sound so clear, and I don’t know if I’ve seen that kind of slapping on an acoustic before. Truly a legend, R.I.P
Roy Clark… this guy was simply amazing!! No words to complement this awesome guitarist! I first started playing in 1978 with a “Roy Clark” chord book.. to this day, I can’t keep up!
One of the greatest guitar players I've 1 of the greatest shows ever❤
Roy Clarke was such an apex, next level, guitar and musical master he probably wore guitars out.
...his brute force here could easily trainwreck at any moment here, but he not only holds it together,... he commands it at will.
A pure Legend.
If you haven't noticed... This is an acoustic guitar... This man was amazing........... Amazing.
That some cutting edge next level talent, (so glad it's captured for posterity...)
What an incredible guitarist/ musician!!!
Damn, The talent is unreal. He is as good as it gets. He will be missed! A lot! Thank you Roy!
Are You f’ing kidding me. This is AMAZING. Didn’t know you could even go that fast 🔥
The grand Master of all guitar masters.
For years my Dad could not stand Roy on Hee Haw, said he was a smart ass. But then night Roy let’er rip on the guitar and Dad said that SOB sure can play. Liked him after that
There are just some musical artists that will never be topped and Roy Clark is one of them … he is/was amazing it was a true loss in the music industry when he passed away.

Hello Mary how are you doing!!
Phenomenal Guitar Player. So amazing, he made me think about Giving up guitar Playing . . . as he was " Just so Good " Just a Special Talent. R.I.P. Legend.
It should make you want to play it more!! .....not throw it away?
That is the fastest strumming I have ever seen in my life. Holy shit!!!
yeah! baby beat the hell out of those lame ass eddy van halen types
Roys strum hand opened a portal to the magical land of Narnia...i stepped thru...and Gandolph the Gray was standing there...and He said to me.....".You been watching Roy Clark aint ya?"
And ridiculously clean.
His hand was a blur
A true artist.god bless him
Roy was (is) such an artist. He is a stand up comic, a singer/songwriter, and he can play literally anything that has strings.
If all he could do is play the guitar he would still be famous.
