Jurin is the leader btw she used to be a pro snowboard & a model. She's so cool & her dancing is top notch aswell with her stage presence. They're all amazing.

It's not that the company wanted to keep her from singing. She requested not to have any lines as she was still uncomfortable & self-conscious with her English pronunciation. I'm happy that she was able to overcome it, so that more everyone can see how amazing she is.

Basically all their Cypher, Vox and Move videos are worth watching. Cypher is rap, Vox is vocals and Move is dance styles. They are so incredibly talented (also the Cypher#2 video has 15 mil views already… 🤯)
They’ve actually seen the cypher in a All Things K-pop stream a couple of months ago. It’s on Patreon now 😭
Watch the fixed cam version of their dance practices. It really gives you a deeper appreciation of how detailed the choreos are and how every member is an absolute beast. Of course Jurin stands out the most because she is a force of nature but when you focus on each individual member one by one you realize that they all fucking BRING IT.

You should definitely watch all of their dance practices (I recommend the fixed version), but I must warn you that Jurin is dangerous in the Left Right dance practice😅
Also, everything they do is A1 flawless so you need to watch everything 🤣😂 They have dance, vocal and rap performances on their channel.
Dance performances are the MOVE videos (#1~4. The choreography is the same for the first and third videos, but the first one was before the members were revealed and in #3 you can see who is who)
Vocal performances are the VOX videos (#1~4)

If you notice at the beginning of shooting Star when Hinata is starting off, the Rap line come out on the right side then the Vocal line next on the left. Love that little detail.

There are two must see performance video of them. 1. " It's Live" band version no dance live singing of Shooting Star. Great grooving sensation from members. 2. LR performance with bucket hats on in uniform outfits. Faces almost not visible throughout the performance. Never seen this done in music show. Insanely cool.

i love XG so much, everything about them is top of the game, choreographies by Sienna Lalau and Kiel Tutin (who have worked with BTS, Rihanna, JLo, Blackpink, Ciara, Justin Bieber, Twice, etc.)
With production and lyrics from people like Chancellor (who has worked with SISTAR, Apink, GFriend, Kang Daniel, Ailee, Taeyeon, etc. ).
And their stylists, the IBAEKILHO team are doing such an amazing job too, (they have worked with Chuu, Jessi, STAYC, DeVita, IU, Lia Kim, The Boyz, etc.).
And the one making all of this possible, pd JAKOPS, without him we would not be able to see these amazing, talented, beautiful women shine on and off the stage. XG is a group I already see as exceptional and I am very VERY excited for whats to come. I'm a proud ALPHAZ, them and their team deserve it.

Quick Japanese lesson: Japanese vowels are: A, I, U, E, O...
A = Ah
I = Ee
U - Oo (sounds like the U in nude)
E = Eh
O = Oh
Japanese vowel sounds NEVER change regardless of the letters in front
There really is no C sound, unless paired with an H as you saw in Chisa
Cocona is really Kokona ここな, but I am sure she chose to go with the C in English to look cool
The J sounds for Jurin and Juria is very close to the J in the word Judge
Japanese doesn't really have an R or L sound so in English you would say Jurin or Juria as it looks, however Japanese R sounds are close to how a Spanish rolls their Rs but much shorter in sound. If you can get your tongue to say an L and a D with a slight roll, you will get the Japanese R sound.
Harvey actually goes by her last name, which is Harvey, her Japanese first name is 瑛美 pronounced Emi, though in English she spells it as Amy and her middle name is Jannet
Maya and Hinata both sound like they are spelled

also, if you hear really, really high belts and adlibs, that is mostly going to be Juria, though Chisa, Hinata and Maya can do it as well...and really pretty much all of them are all-rounders

definitely watch the dance practices for both songs. they just have a different energy overall when they're just focusing on dancing💙💙. Unrelated but I love Harvey's voice imo she has the same nasally quality as Momo just stronger. Her speaking voice when she speaks Japanese is cute.
Now that you're getting to know the members, the XG MOVE #2 series where each of them gets a solo dance is worth watching. They get to showcase more individual style in those.

They all are just amazing💯😌👌. The company really did great in finding them to form the group. They compliment each other so well. The Vocal line can rap while the Rappers also can sing. They all can dance good as well and have pretty facial expressions too. That's a perfect combination.🙌😤🔥

i was whole heartedly not planning to get into xg at all if im honest, but after watching their songs through you guys i think i might be obsessed??
Okay, I could talk so much about how talented and beautiful they are (-also, on that note, you two look great!) and how much these two songs slap… but honestly, with all of the releases they’ve done for both of these and how many I’ve watched, I’m even more amused that they had to adjust the lyrics for Left Right to avoid brand / sponsorship placement (it’s not in the performance MV but it *is* in the live stages) 😭
PS: For what it’s worth, ‘i’s in Japanese (and their Korean romanizations) are almost exclusively pronounced like long ‘e’s. So you’d say Hinata and Jurin the same way you said Chisa and Juria. But that’s just specifics and you’re doing really well honestly!

If I had to have a bias, I’d say it was either Hinata or Jurin. They’re all stunning and it looks like they actually have fun and enjoy performing.

Jurin is the choreographer. You need to watch their Vox vids as well. Juria and Chisa especially are great and they sing live.

I'm a 51 year old man, growing up in the 80s and 90s. I agree, those two songs ARE perfect.
